Photocatalytic sensor of oxygen
Filipi, Denisa ; Kubáč,, Lubomír (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the optimization of inks for the preparation of photocatalytic oxygen indicator. The aim was to prepare a photocatalytic oxygen indicator with sufficient colour change after photoreduction and after reverse photooxidation. The indicator is based on semiconductor particles (TiO2), a sacrificial electron donor, a redox dye and a polymer which serves as a binder. The effect of the polymer used on the appearance of the prepared layers deposited on the PET film was investigated. The effect of the concentration of sacrificial electron donor on the rate of photoreduction (transition to the colourless leuco form) and reverse photooxidation of the indicator (transition of the leuco form to the coloured form) was also studied. Based on the study of the indicators, the rate constants for photoreduction and photooxidation of the prepared indicators were determined.
Oxygen blood saturation measurement
Šmíd, Josef ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This thesis works with measuring possibilities of blood oxygen saturation, analysis methods used and their calibration. It also deals with design of the block diagram of pulse oximeter for measuring blood oxygen saturation.
Design of Single Hyperbaric Chamber
Trněná, Eliška ; Paliatka, Peter (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
The topic of the diploma thesis is the design of a monoplace hyperbaric chamber for medical use. The aim of the work is to create a design respecting technological and ergonomic requirements for safe and comfortable operation of the device. The design is based on the current state of knowledge, its shape respects the target environment of the device and is focused on details that provide the patient and hospital staff with comfort. Important design elements are cover of the pressure capsule, incorporating the compressor and auxiliary accessories into the overall shaping and increasing the general aesthetic level of the device compared to competing products.
Electrolyzer for hydrogen production
Kunovjánek, Miroslav ; Knotek, Tomáš (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The work is concerned with a production of hydrogen and oxygen through by the help of electrolytic process in a device called electrolyzer. The basis of the work is assurance of the best efficiency of this process by testing a variety of materials and surfaces of electrodes, and testing different types of alkalic electrolytes.
Model of Bulk Energy Accumulation
Radil, Lukáš ; Barath, Peter (referee) ; Gregor, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this pursuit is to introduce the reader about the questions of the accumulation of the electric energy and to outline possibilities of its design and what instruments is possible to get it. The other purpose is to inscribe possibilities of today´s attachment of dispersive sources to the net from the sight of the ERU, eventually from the sight of the UCTE. This persuit describes the posibility of the accumulation of adequate dimensions from renewable resources, the modern trends in this area and the prediction of future progress. The two most proper types of the energy accumulation are chosen by the following process with regarding to the optimal resolution of the given questions. The general balance will be ana-lysed by the comparison of their basic parameters. The other point of this pursuit is to try to realize a small model of the accumulation through the hydrogen´s cycle, it comes to that we can develop the efficiency and influence by the help of the electrolyzer and the metalhydride reservoir is realized energy of accumulation . In the conclusion of this pursuit is the appreciation of the whole project with the view of partly economical and especially with the view of the prospective usage into the electric grid
gasification of biomass with a mixture of oxygen and water vapor
Chlubna, Martin ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the gasification of biomass with a mixture of oxygen and water vapor. The theoretical part is focused on the gasification process, gasification reactors and the quality of the resulting gas. In the experimental part we look for the ideal ratio of oxygen to water vapor, which are used as gasification media. Subsequent measurements are carried out on the fluidized bed reactor, the results of which are further processed and evaluated.
Pulse Oxymeter in LabVIEW
Synek, Josef ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
One of the most important vital functions of the human body is providing sufficient oxygen to all its parts. Oxygen in the blood binds to hemoglobin and it is transported to tissues. Oxymetry is non-invasive method for measuring the amount of oxygen bound to hemoglobin. Oxygenated hemoglobin and deoxygenated have different absorption characteristics for light of different wavelengths. Therefore, pulse oxymetry transmits tissue with red and infrared light. Signal passing through the tissue is affected by the absorption properties of hemoglobin and heart pulse. These signals are measured and the ratio of their size allows us to calculate blood oxygen saturation.
Hypoxia in aviation
Doležel, Jan ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Hammer, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on hypoxia in general and commercial civil aviation. The goal of the thesis is to create a general overview of hypoxia in aviation and the dangers connected to it. The thesis includes chapters describing the physiological principles of the human body, the physical laws associated with hypoxia, and the on-board oxygen and pressurization of aircraft. At the end of the thesis the author made an analysis of two aviation accidents caused by hypoxia.
CVD graphene sensor of relative humidity measured in ambient and high vacuum conditions
Urbiš, Jakub ; Mach, Jindřich (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the utilization of graphene as a gas sensor and the effect of gate voltage on sensor sensitivity change. The first part summarizes knowledge about graphene as a sensor of hydrogen, oxygen and water. The experimental part was devoted to measuring and comparing resistance variation in dependence on ambient humidity for pure graphene, graphene-modified by Ar+ ions and Ga-coated graphene. Another experiment dealt with the rate at which the resistance of graphene was stabilized after an application of gate voltage. The last part deals with the environmental chamber.
Membrane Oxygenator
Jindra, Jakub ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Hejč, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of an oxygenator for isolate rabbit’s hearts. In this work is created a mathematical model of the oxygenator and calculate optimal parameters for this application. Design of the construction solution leads to creating a 3D model and print of the oxygenator proposal and creation of the functional prototype. The conclusion of this work is the evaluation of the functionality of the equipment and the discussion of the achieved results.
