Evaluation of the Commercial Risk at Exporting to China

This PhD thesis focuses on current issues of commercial risk in international trade, particularly on the evaluation of commercial risk when exporting to China. This PhD thesis presents initial theoretical framework for solution of the problem and also presents statistical results of primary research conducted for Czech exporters necessary to meet the objectives of the dissertation. The aim of this PhD thesis is to construct the model for assessment of commercial risks of exporting to China. The constructed model is probabilistic model, while outcoming results of resulting commercial risk rating based on the averaging of the probable costs or losses caused by the effects of commercial risk which may arise in exporting business entity at unsecured contract, and may take considerable values. The constructed model allows both, to calculate with costs in their absolute probable values as well as to calculate with costs in their relative values as percentages of the contract value. The issue of trade with China is broad and encompasses several disciplines. This implies a large potential for further research which aims in particular to the modeling of knowledge, and by extension created the probabilistic model to the knowledge model.

Synergetics and Self-organization in the Economy

The master thesis focuses at analysis and research of synergy and self-organization in economics. The motivation for the thesis was joining Czech Republic and other nine countries to the European Union on May 1st, 2004. The primary aim was to analyse the problem and on a model example,assuming "ceteris paribus", confirm or refute the thought, that joining the European Union has positive synergic effect for newcomers. The second meaning of synergy is solved as a sub-problem in the master thesis, where the use of synergy in logistics was analysed and opportunities improving the current situation were suggested.

Elimination of the Exchange Rate Risk for Exportoriented Company

This thesis is focused on elimination of exchange rate risks as well as on possible ways how to ensure the risk, considering actuall situation in the Czech republic and expansive economical crisis in the year 2009. Mentioned is an overview of possible financial derivates and methods how to adapt them to export-oriented company. The work also includes an outline of a question how far the situation would be changed after launching euro.

This thesis deals with creating graphs in application UGE (Universal graphic editor) and facilities it offers for plugins programmers. Goal of the thesis is to design UGML (UGE Graph Markup Language) data format, implement plugin for importing/exporting graph, implement SVG graphic format export and export into several bitmap formats. Thesis extends particular parts of application, especially API (application program interface) and manipulating graphical representation of objects.

TheStudy of Security Contracts, Focusing on Customs Issues in the Enterprise

The diploma thesis is focused on possible customs issues during order processing in the manufacturing company. The theoretical part of this thesis contains definition of the world trade basic terms and a description of the customs clearance process. In the practical part, there is a description of the ordering procedure with attention to customs issues and rules in international trade. It includes a project draft which should provide the company with the improvement of the monitored indicators such as the quantity of delayed deliveries for distribution centers or the number of customs inspections.

The effects of innovation on international trade of the company

This diploma thesis focuses on the study of innovation in a selected company and its impact on foreign trade. The company is analyzed from an internal and external point of view, identified factors are summarized in a SWOT analysis. Furthermore, the financial and ecological starting points are monitored. In the selected branch of the company, market development is monitored by economic indicators. Finally, the effects of innovation on the company's domestic and foreign trade are evaluated.

Company Risk Management of Foreign Exchange Rate

In the first part thesis describes theoretical basis about international business and exchange rate risk. The practical part focuses on analysis of the company through analysis of competition, financial analysis and SWOT analysis. Integrated overview is supplemented by exchange rate risk analysis. In the last part of thesis there are specific options of elimination exchange rate risk.
