The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of demographic ageing on pension schemes in Japan, Germany and Canada. The first part introduces general structures of pension schemes together with the global trend of demographic ageing. The second part focuses on analysis and comparison of pension schemes in the selected developed countries with the emphasis on analysis of demographic ageing effects on pension schemes. In the last part the research questions are answered based on the findings in section two and recommendations for selected countries are formulated.

Analysis of the Czech population mortality by causes of death

The main aim of this thesis is an analysis of mortality by causes of death in the districts of the Czech Republic. The work also makes an effort to demonstrate certain dependence between mortality and socioeconomic factors. The first part introduces readers to the issue of mortality and causes of death. This part describes its development, terminology and demographic indicators. The second part contains an analysis of mortality by cause of death in the last ten years. The work also contains the factor and cluster analyses which show dependencies between mortality and socioeconomic factors.

Economic structure czech population - development, perspective

This bachelor thesis is written in order to evaluate the development of the economic structure of the population of the Czech Republic in the wider context of demographic ageing. The work is devided into the theoretical and the practical part.In the theoretical part the objectives of the work are included, the hypotheses, the litera-ry research of professional literature and methodology of drawing up this work.In the practical part of the work is with the help of probability and mathematical dis-ciplines studied development of selected indicators.The work proves that demographic ageing will continue in the Czech Republic and it will be necessary to adopt the political, economic, legislative and socio-cultural measures that the impact of demographic ageing of the population at least mitigate.

Demographic aging population and its economic consequences.

This thesis deals with the demographic aging of the population and its economic consequences. This work is divided into two parts. First, there is a theoretical part, which is a kind of summary of the findings of the ongoing demographic aging of the Czech population, and it also deals with the last two significant population projections up to the year 2070. This is followed by a practical part. There are drawn cartograms of the Czech Republic, according to data from the Czech Statistical Office and from my own calculated indices and indicators. These are the index of age, economic load, business load, green and gray load and life expectancy and average age. The thesis concludes with some recommendations and hypotheses.

The Aging of European Populations

The objective of the thesis is to evaluate process of ageing of European populations that is in process in particular countries differently. Further, the objective is to denote factors which contributed to this development. Thanks to considerable decline of fertility characteristics in the monitored period there has been observed decline for persons under age of 19. Because of that young-age dependency ratio decline in all European regions. At the same time due to the increase of the 65years old and older people there is increase of the old-age dependency ratio. The total dependency ratio has declined and this trend turned up significantly in last few years. In the future there is expected considerable increase the economic strain imposed on the productive people by the non-productive persons. There is significant difference of the life expectancy between European countries. In the near future higher rating growth will be expected in the less developed countries. More developed countries do not have such a big growth potential in this case. At the same time the values of life expectancy at birth are getting closer together between men and women.

Medical school students perception of the elderly

This Diploma work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with characteristic features of ageing and changes connected with it. I also describe the adolescent development and complete this part with information of the study course called Health Care Assistant. The practical part is focused on research. The aim of this work has been to find out ambivalent attitudes of secondary health care school students to seniors. A technique of the semantic diferential was used in the field data collection. The students were asked to define their opinions and attitudes toward seniors in the scale of odd-numbered categories of lexically ambiguous word pairs, e.g. quick {--} slow, old {--} young.They were also free to express their opinions about seniors. Although there were significant differences in responds of 3ZA and 4ZA classes, the total findings have proved both hypotheses stated at the beginning. The students of secondary health care schools perceive seniors positively, on the other hand they consider them as sick people. It is obvious from the survey information that older students perceive seniors more positively than the younger ones who reported more negative attitudes toward seniors. The differences in student perception can be connected with the fact that four-year students have already passed their professional training in health care facilities. The research findings are supposed to be benefitial for professional subject teachers at secondary health care schools and for professional training mentors at health care facilities. The findings should lead to reconsidering methodical approaches to professional subject teaching and the subsequent implementation into the school educational programmes.

The ageing of the population and its impact on the society from a global and local point of view of the micro region Bechyne

This thesis deals with the demographic aging of the population and the changes which this natural cyclical process brings along. I am not only mapping the current situation and trying to give a forecast of the next fifty years, but I am also trying to identify how the aging will mirror our society and which areas of public life will mostly be affected by it. A substantial part of this thesis is dedicated to the transformation of social services and how it works, which should contribute to the community planning project in the micro region of Bechyne. All theoretical findings in the later part of the thesis are used to evaluate the socio-demographic situation in the mentioned region and subsequently followed by suggestions, which could lead to the improvement of the residents{\crq} quality of life.

Reprodukce obyvatelstva v EU: ekonomické důsledky

Bakalářská práce nastiňuje vývoj přirozené reprodukce, tedy procesů porodnosti a úmrtnosti, v Evropské unii a analyzuje jeho možné ekonomické důsledky. Pozornost je věnována především dopadům demografického stárnutí a ubýváni obyvatelstva na trh práce a veřejné výdaje, kdy je zvláštní důraz kladen i na příležitosti, které současným populačním vývojem vznikají. Analýza je doplněna o teoretický rámec vztahu přirozené měny obyvatelstva a ekonomiky státu, diskutována je i reakce EU na fenomén stárnutí.
