Protection of goods in logistics

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of external risk factors consequences on goods regard to its characteristics, length and complexity of transport chains in national and international transport. This thesis looks at the methods of protection of goods together with process of loading, reloading, unloading, packaging, labelling, stowing and securing of goods for transportation, storage and handling. In the end it deals with the logistics chain of chocolate and its raw materials pointing at stress risks and its protection. The first chapter describes the significance of international transport and it defines goods characteristics, external risk factors and transport chains. The second chapter deals with technologies in logistics. The third and fourth chapter study packaging and system of protection. The fifth chapter contains information about cargo stowing and securing in means of transport. The last chapter deals with logistics chain of chocolate and its raw materials, starting with growing cocoa beans in Africa and ending in Czech retail store.
Imports of wine from Italy

This bachelor thesis is focused on importing wines from Italy. It describes the whole process of import from selecting suppliers, transporting wine from Italy, storage, supplying to potential subscribers and the execution of necessary formalities by Customs Administration. The next section deals with the possibility of outsourcing transportation, storage, deliveries to customers and processing requirements by Customs Administration through the use of logistics company. The main goal of this work is to present the entire process of import and subsequent evaluation and selection of the most suitable option.
Processes of warehousing of chemicals of the lead logistics provider in the Czech Republic

This thesis is focused on processes of warehousing of chemicals of the lead logistics provider in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to analyse legislative and safety requirements for warehousing of chemicals in the Czech Republic. An audit, which determines the correctness of warehousing, makes a suggestion and gives advice not only on the warehouse equipment but also on the whole process of warehousing of chemicals, is made on the basis of ascertained information. The first part of thesis describes legislative sources and safety requirements for work performance with chemicals. The second part is focused on the audit of warehousing itself. The risks, which appear on the workplace, are described there, as well as making suggestions of their elimination. The final chapter is dedicated to the improvement of warehouse safety.

The Master's thesis discusses an analyst of supply chain at Frostfood a.s. The aim is to descibe the entire logistics chain , except production, and propose solutions to the current situation. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes basic concepts such as logistics, warehousing, distribution, etc. In the practical part introduces the company and its impact on various markets. The most important part is analysis of the actual logistics chain, finding weaknesses and propose solutions.

The aim of this thesis is to suggest an appropriate inventory management in the company Pramet Tools, s.r.o. The thesis is consisted of two parts. In the theoretical part there will be defined concepts from the field of stockholding, classification of in-ventory, inventory costs, inventory management and its evaluation. In the practical part there will be analysed current situation of inventory management and subsequently there will be defined problematic areas. In conclusion of the bachelor thesis measures to improve the current situation will be suggested.
Hodnocení kvality přikrmování spárkaté zvěře na základě obsahu aflatoxinů

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of aflatoxin in selected organs of fallow game, roe deer and for comparation of petty game with hare. The aim was to evaluate the free and preserve breeds at a sufficient amount of samples and to assess the suitability of a feeding.There were assessed the parenchymal tissues and kidneys and liver. It evaluated 176 collected biological tissues, including 118 from free places and 58 samples from specialized preserve.After the screening method RIA complemented by gas chromatography, were evaluated concentrations of aflatoxin B1. Diferences of feeding, which were assessed on based of results of evaluation in preserves.Subsequently the problem of submitting feeds was solved, and it was made a manual for submission of a feed.

he bachelor work dealt with the evaluatino of selected sterilized cucumbers from the laboratory and sensory aspect, and the evaluatiomn of cucumbers and watermelon from the qualitative aspect. In the literary part was described a classification systém and techniques of cultivation of individual families Cucurbitaceae, their substantial structure, individual standards of quality and mehods of storing. Then, the literary part introduced the general overview of canning processing and mentioned the techniques of processing of the individual Cucurbitaceae families. In the practical part were selected five different sterilized cucumbers. From the laboratory aspect, the pickle and solid proportion were evaluted by the qualitative method, the contents of acid by titration, the dissoluble dry substance by rafractometry and the contents os acid by titration. By sensory analyse were evaluted the colour and the shape of fruit, the visual aspect of pickle, consistence, aroma, taste and the ovarall impression. According to the standards of quality control the length and weight of individual fruits were evaluated.

Three cultivars of apple (Idared, Prima, Golida) were harvested in three stages of ri-peness (unripe, ripe, overripe) that were stored for 30 days in two different temperatures (2 °C a 20 °C). On all cultivars, the ripeness was studied during the storing based on objective measurements. The performed measurements enabled to determine 3 basic criteria (penetration stress, soluble solids, acid-based titration). From the stored cultivars, Prima was ripe in the time of measurement, cultivars Idared and Golida reached similar in descibed parameters that are stated by the average and standard deviation. The aim of this work was to find optimal ripeness of apples, especially for long-term storage. Knowing of materiál composition during the harvest was important for studying of ripeness. The changes and values are observed and recorded. According to these values, the conditions for every cultivar for long-term storage and maintenance of apples at optimum ripeness are determined.

In this diploma thesis were described some of the lesser-known vegetables. In practical experiments were stored fruits of buternut squashes, cape gooseberries and fennel bulbs. These plant parts were also processed. For the fennel was found storability 2-3 weeks at 5 °C. Cape gooseberries shown shelf life without decreasing the nutritional quality of 3-4 weeks at 5 °C. For buternut were found storability 18 weeks at 18 °C. From fennel was made and sensory evaluated two variants of chutney. From buternut sqash was made candied product in two varints. From cape gosebery were made compote and lyophilized product. The lyophilized product was designed as part of the muesli mixture.

The thesis was aimed to the problems of storing and changes in quality characteristics (weight, measurements, colour, firmness, soluble solids content and acidyty) for selected specie and varieties of fruit vegetables. From fruit vegetables were evaluated tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum, L.) and varieties 'Bejbino F1', 'Duo', 'Torino F1', 'Tornado F1', 'Toro F1' a 'Zlatava'. All varieties were harvested in the same time, stockholding in refrigeration and regularly instrumentally and sensorially evaluated. The results were processed graphically and statistically.
