Isotopic characterization of selected fruit juices - determination of authenticity on the basis of deuterium content by SNIF-NMR
Vyčítalová, Lucie ; Kolář, Kamil (referee) ; Sečkářová,, Pavlína (advisor)
The deuterium content of sugar in fruits is influenced mainly by two factors – the botanical and also the geographical origin of the fruit. The information of the fruit origin is kept even after fermentation of the sugar, in the molecules of ethanol. The deuterium content on the methyl group of ethanol then varies depending upon the botanical origin of the fruit. SNIF-NMR (Site-specific Natural Isotope Fractionation – Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) is a specific method for determination of the deuterium isotopic ratio (D/H) in small molecules, e.g. ethanol. This isotopic technique is widely used for determination of sugar adulteration of fruit-based beverages (wines, fruit juices..). In this thesis, the authentic samples of five different fruits (apples, oranges, grapefruits, pineapples and grapes) available in the Czech market have been collected and analyzed by SNIF-NMR. The results are presented as well as the comparison to some commercially available fruit juices and nectars.

Unreliable recorders. Collectors of folk songs as inventors of tradition
Kratochvíl, Matěj
From the end of the 18th century folk music increasingly came to be an object of interest among collectors and researchers. The development of folksong collecting raised questions overthe authenticity and credibility of the recordings.During the 19th century collectors applied various measures to form an image of folk music culture, which was always to some extent an invention and a fiction, whether it involved the alteration of song lyrics to achieve a more acceptable form by omitting vulgar expressions, or the deletion from the repertoire of entire items which the collectors did not deem suitable for inclusion. Authors of important collections such as František Ladislav Čelakovský and Karel Jaromír Erben often altered the recorded material to make it fit their ideas of correct national culture. Folksong acquired a special role in the disputes over the authenticity of the Dvůr Králové and Zelená Hora manuscripts. Collector František Bartoš and historian František Dvorský, each in their own way, used folk songs as an argument in favour of the view that the manuscripts were authentic.

Common features of so called psychosomatic condition are discovered. The author also searches the possibility of exporting Acting with the Inner Partner out of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology at South Bohemia University. As the methodology of video recording analysis has not been accomplished yet, the starting points for further research are described. The empirical part focuses on typology documented on students' written self-reflections. The objective is to describe the assistant's experience. The interpretation of the research results shows the need to distinguish between the terms 'written teaching self-reflections' and 'written teaching reflections, commonly described as feedback.

Tourism and UNESCO's Cultural Heritage
Havelková, Libuše ; Musil, Martin (advisor) ; Jirková, Marie (referee)
The aim of my diploma work is to evaluate the positives and negatives of the inclusion of tourist attractions, especially municipalities and their attractiveness to the UNESCO list, with examples from the Czech Republic, possibly also abroad. Our country is very rich in historical monuments. The most important of them are inscribed on the UNESCO list. After the Velvet Revolution tourism sharply increased, which resulted in not only the positives, but also negatives. Many dangers of unregulated tourism appeared. Management of tourist destinations must suppress the negative impacts of tourism on attractions and to ensure their sustainable development. I demonstrate this at the towns Telč and Český Krumlov.
