Abstract The main purpose of this thesis is to analyse websites and Facebook profiles of chosen brands of Nestlé company and their competition. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with basics of methodology of evaluating websites and Facebook profiles and consists of following parts: graphics and design of websites, visibility on the internet, SEO, information, technical solutions, applicabillity, accessibility and Facebook. All these parts are essential for assessment methodology. The practical part contains the assessment itself according to created methodology. Eleven selected websites and facebook profiles are assessed here. Furthemore, all results are summerized in this part and conclusions as well as recommendatins are drawn from them. The main contribution of this diploma thesis is a comprehensive comparison of selected websites and Facebook profiles of Nestlé company and recommendations made on the basis of the comparison.
Web information system for non-profit organization

The objective of the bachelor's thesis is to develop fully-functional web application. The first chapter is dedicated to the explanation of the main terms, technologies used, and required functionality of the application based on the analysis of the real needs of organizations. The next chapter is dedicated to the selection of proper information system development methodology and the specifications of the new application - data model, as well as the specification of user roles. The last chapter is dedicated to implementation of the portal.
Real-time Web Applications

This thesis is dedicated to realtime web applications. The main goal is to help the reader with beginings of building realtime web application. It will be achieved by introducing theory, characterization of technologies and software products. My contribution is summary of issues in czech language, apphraisal of technologies while being deployed to the real environment of the internet. Another contribution is to elaborate news which are interesting for future development of realtime web applications. Thesis is dived into six chapters. In the first one is the motivation for selecting this topic. The second chapter is about theory of realtime web applications. The third one is concerned about technology of realtime connections. In the fourth chapter are characterized software products aimed on development of realtime web applications. Fifth one contains example of implementation of realtime web application. Sixth chapter summarizes findings gained while processing this work.
Development of Web Applications for Operation on Mobile Phones

This thesis discusses workflow and technologies used to create mobile web apps. The thesis focuses mainly on web for touch devices. First part of this work describes differences between mobile phones and personal computers. These differences are compared mainly in task of ergonomic use and technological limits for mobile web browsing. It also discusses common problems of web for mobile devices. Main part of this thesis shows workflow of using technology and design principles for creating mobile web. It discusses patterns for proper graphic design which improves ergonomic use of web on mobile devices. The thesis also shows some software technologies used to developing mobile web. It also compares differences between native and mobile apps and shows some utilities for creating native apps using web technologies. The end of work is shown example of creating native app and different approaches of creating mobile web apps.
XML support in modern web browsers.

This thesis offers a closer look into technologies based on XML or working with XML. All these technologies can be used in modern browsers. The goal of the thesis is to give a comprehensive overview of XML support in today's modern browsers, with mobile browsers being included. To reach the object of the thesis, different tests will be used. The technologies are chosen by their expected support, followed by their short introduction and the closer look. The thesis assumes that readers are familiar with XML technologies.
Approaches to solutions of graphic design of mobile web applications

This work describes the difference between webdesign of mobile and standard websites from predominantly technological perspective. In the first part of the work I describe the current situation in Czech Republic, including the most popular devices, mobile operating systems and web browsers. Furthermore, I focus on the important tips for creating mobile websites. These tips I mention here, because they are not always consistent with creating web pages for PC. In the end of teoretical part I describe methods of detection devices during accessing the website, and trends in the field of mobile Internet. In practical part I describe implementation of methods from the theoretical part, and testing on different devices. Testing is performed on the sample HTML pages using the new features of CSS3 and HTML5. Testing is focused on methods of detection function, the function of new Internet features and compare the complexity of implementation. In conclusion I compare different methods and mention the use of appropriate examples.
