The issue of employment of persons with disabilities within the existing legal system of the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the issue of employment of people with disabilities. The first part is devoted to employment policy and development approach to this group of people. Further, a definition of persons with disabilities and different elements active policy which is seeking to become motivated to greater employment of disabled people. The central part is a questionnaire survey and analysis, including the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The work also contains recommended legislative changes, the list of attachments, which are included in the individual questionnaires and graphical and tabular outputs of development in terms of employment of people with disabilities.

Czech labour market

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the situation in the labour market in the Czech Republic during the period 2004 -- 2011 and compare the development of selected indicators in the Czech labour market with other states in the European Union. The thesis seeks a comprehensive approach and focuses attention on key issues such as long-term unemployment and the problems of women, older workers or graduates. The thesis also includes a demonstration of the impact of demographic aging on the labour market. The conclusion describes some options for solving selected problems of the labour market and the general approach of employment policy.
The Analysis of Active Employment Policy in the District of Pardubice in the Period 2001-2011

This thesis deals with active employment policy in the district of Pardubice in the period 2001 - 2011. In the theoretical section, there are defined terms which relate to the labor market - the labor market, unemployment, active employment policy. In the introduction to the practical part, there is characterized the district of Pardubice, especially in socio-economic point of view. Furthermore, unemployment is analyzed in this district during the period with a subsequent analysis of the main reasons causing this phenomenon. The main part is devoted to the active employment policy. There are presented major instruments of this policy used in the Pardubice Labour Office, and a complete analysis of the already mentioned period is made. Finally, it assesses the effectiveness of each instrument and the overall impact of active employment policy on unemployment in the district of Pardubice.
Analysis of the labour market in the Czech Republic

The main aim of this thesis is to analyse the labour market situation in the Czech Republic during the period of 2004-2011, compare choosen indexes with other states of the EU, assess employment policy of the Czech Republic, rate achieve the objectives of Lisbon Treaty and describe Czech national goals which are in accordance with strategy Europe 2020. To achieve these goals I use the data from Czech Statistical Office.

Práce na zkrácenou pracovní dobu (Kurzarbeit) je účinný nástroj, který pomáhá podnikům zvládnout konjunkturální výkyvy a problémy spojené s dočasným výpadkem práce. Místo propouštění mohou zavést práci na zkrácenou pracovní dobu. Část výdělku hradí zaměstnancům v tomto případě Spolková agentura práce (tj. spolkový úřad práce) formou podpory při práci na zkrácenou pracovní dobu (Kurzarbeitergeld). To pomáhá zaměstnavatelům rychle snížit mzdové náklady a zároveň udržet pracovní místa.

State employment policy

This bachelor thesis deals with the state employment policy's issues and its development in Czech republic. The first chapter analyses the unemployment's development and compares it with European Union and also defines important terms regarding to the employment policy. In the second part follows the division of the state employment policy into passive and active part with focusing on the active part. In the third part is examined the amendment to the Employment Act. The fourth part deals with unemployment compensation and retraining benefits. The last chapter documents issues of employment of people with disabilities. The theoretical findings are interspersed with practical outputs and analyses.

The task of the dissertation is an analyse and a summary of problematic of increasing and widespreading of training in the concrete enterprise. The starting point for analyse is the finding out of the basic indicators. The analyses of all system connected with this problematic is followed by the assessment of the found data from the area of education -including improving and widespreading of training , personal planning and care of emploeeyes. Along with all above mentioned , the target of my dissertation is to make some suggestion and to take some measures for possible changes connected with education or social issues. The result of this survey is an improving suggestion related to assessment of effectivness of the gained knowledge - and their using in practice. I have made two assessment forms (they have form of survey) . The next part of my dissertation considers about the state policy of employment. There is (except of role of Labour Bureau, tools of active policy of employment, information about programmes for support of new labour places) also a mention about the financial state support. For this task (and for meeting of each of these targets) I have chosen the enterprise with headquarters in České Budějovice, called Jihočeská plynárenská, joint stock company.
The exercise of the Army reservists within the labour market.

The professionalization of the Czech Army increases the number of soldiers in active service and then, of course, the number of reserve soldiers who are entering the job market in order to find new suitable jobs, to use their knowledge and experience gained in the previous service and to start a new professional career. As a professional soldier who, for the last six years, has been working to help soldiers leaving their active service, I have decided to map the success of reserve soldiers in the labour market, the speed of their orientation and their adaptation to the conditions of a competitive labour market, their feelings when experiencing unemployment, the effectiveness of retraining courses that are offered to the soldiers leaving their active service by the Army of the Czech Republic, and the role of employment offices played in the entrance of reserve soldiers to the labour market. The theoretical part of the thesis therefore describes active military service, service of professional soldiers and the status of reserve soldiers, but also the labour market and its functioning but with the emphasis on its imbalances causing unemployment. To meet the objectives of the practical research, I chose a qualitative method of data collection, i.e. uncontrolled observation, questioning through interviews and document analysis. The research group consisted of reserve soldiers who left their active military service between 2001 and 2010. They had worked in Army Unit 3517 in Bechyně. The conclusions of this thesis can be used both in planning and organizing retraining courses provided by the Czech Army to soldiers leaving their active military service, as well as in practice of employment offices when working with the unemployed reserve soldiers.
