There is an overview of the various forms of internal and external financing and their basic characteristics. The practical part is focused on a specific business case and options for financing various parts of the contract. The conclusion provides a comprehensive overview of the variations, their comparisons and recommendations of the best one from the complex perspective.

Payment and hedging instruments in international trade and their comparison on Czech banking market

This thesis is devoted to analysis of payment and hedging instruments used in international trade. The main purpose of this thesis is comparison of charges associated with the use of Documentary Collection, Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantee in the five largest Czech banks. The first part briefly describes their basic characteristics, the main advantages and disadvantages and also the situations in which it is appropriate to use these instruments. The third part is focused on analysis of trends in the use of these instruments for trade finance, as well as the use of Documentary Collection and Letter of Credit in various regions of the world. The last part is devoted to the comparison of charges associated with these instruments in selected banks, firstly in general and then on illustrative examples.

Comparison of hedging instruments in international trade

The thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical and practical. In first part hedging instruments, namely the Letter of Credit, Documentary Collection, Bill of Exchange, Factoring, Forfaiting and Bank Guarantee are analyzed. The aim of analysis is to describe the basic characteristics of instruments and course of these instruments. Subsequently, the instruments are compared to each other on the basis of the advantages and disadvatages they bring to participants. The next part is devoted to an analysis of charges associated with the use of particular hedging instruments in selected banks and the comparison of instruments based on selected criteria. The specific use of the hedging instrument is shown in the case study.

Prevention of credit risks in the condition of international trade

The main form of intrernational economic cooperation represents trade, which is carried out by a large number of individual business operations. Businesses, that carry out these transactions are part of the global economy and it brings not only many opportunities to engage in international business activities but also threats and risks. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part of thesis presents the type of risks' origin emerging from international trade and its characteristics. The second part describes in detail the means of prevention of risks of payment in the condition of international trade. The third part deals with the analysis of the trade contract in which was used the letter of credit, based on the data received from ČSOB, a. s. Thanks to this business operation the shortcomings are demonstrated as they appeared in individual documents.

Letter of Credit in international trade

The thesis describes "Letter of Credit" as one of the oldest and safest instruments used in international trade. Chapter one deals with the basic characteristics of Letter of Credit, the whilst second chapter describes advantages and disadvantages of this financial instrument. The next part is devoted to the course of Letter of Credit, analyzing the process from negotiating the terms of the credit and its opening to its draw down. In chapter four, the current and future development of Letter of Credit is characterized, including the development of its electronic form. The last chapter is a case study, where the main documents related to Letter of Credit are analyzed, including pointing out errors, which are most often made by bank customers and finally the comparison of fees associated with Letter of Credit in selected banks is performed.

Methods of securing export credit risks

My work deals with ways of securing export credit risks in international trade. Firstly, I characterize the risks faced by exporters in the provision of loans to customers in international trade. Then I will acquaint the reader with the basic instruments to protect against these risks. The next chapter is in detail devoted to documentary letter of credit as a securing instrument. Firstly the letter of credit is defined, than I explain its essence, describe the different types of L/C and relations between the parties. At the end of this chapter you will find recommendations for exporters, emphasizing the most important rules, which seller should adhere in order to conduct a successful foreign business operation. The last part of this work will focus on the development of electronic letter of credit and its latest form - Bank Payment Obligation.

The first section presents general characteristics of letter of credit, proceeding of operation of credit letter, advantages and disadvantages of letter of credit and basic and special types of credit letter. The second section contains the analysis of charges, that are connected with it in the five biggest czech banks and their comparison with the biggest european bank HSBC Bank.

Letter of credit in international business

This thesis deals with the letter of credit and its position during recent economic crisis. In the first chapter the term "letter of credit" is explained and the main aspects of the letter of credit, its availability, the letter of credit process and the relationships among parties of this process are described. In the second chapter, the core of this work, the influence of the recent financial and economic crisis on the use of letters of credit is analyzed, as well as the attitude of banks towards letters of credit in the time of crisis.

Securing of contractual obligations in the international trade (economic and legal aspects)

The first part of the thesis deals with a description of legal relationships in the international trade and explains the term "international element." Further there is a short description of private international law and international trade law. The second part of the thesis is focused on securing of contractual obligations in the international trade. The third part concerns with explanation of the basic forms of legal relationships in the international trade regulation with regard to securing of contractual obligations. The final part of the thesis deals with a description of securing instruments used in the international trade. At the end of this part there are listed factors which influence the choice of a suitable securing instrument.
