Nursing care about handicapped patiens in hospitál and home
Polidarová, Zuzana ; Tomová, Šárka (advisor) ; Švarcová, Eva (referee)
Bachlor thesis "Nursing care about handicapped patients in hospital and home" deals with the care of clients / patients with transverse spinal lesions in the thoracic and lumbarspine, ie clients patients with paraplegia. The theoretical part presents basic information and description of traumatic spinal cord injury. It is in this part of the work prepared nursing patient care paraplegia. The practical part is processed on the basis of our survey, in which she was approached by a group of handicapped clients with paraplegia, a group of nursesand a group of family members caring for disabled clients with paraplegia. This investigation was aimed at obtaining the perspective of these three target groups of respondents to the demands of caring for a disabled client with paraplegia and an overview of activities in which handicapped client needs assistance.
Possibilities of influencing blood pressure in spinal cord injury patients during verticalization
Věchetová, Tereza ; Schreier, Bronislav (advisor) ; Slabý, Kryštof (referee)
Orthostatic hypotension is a common problem for individuals with spinal cord lesions, especially in the acute period after spinal cord injury. The first part of this study deals with the theoretical analysis of the pathophysiology of cardiovascular control after spinal cord injury, the definition of orthostatic hypotension and its inclusion within the classification of the syncopal conditions. An important part of the theoretical part is the management of orthostatic hypotension, which brings non-pharmacological therapeutic approaches, and marginally pharmacology, to decrease the severity of this condition. The experimental part focuses on testing of a group of probands with spinal cord injury (11 quadriplegics) on two different types of tilt tables according to the same protocol. The first tilt table is a standard; the second one is Erigo, tilt table with integrated robotic mechanism, which moves the legs to simulate walking. The parameters, such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and the occurrence and severity of pre-synkopal symptoms, were compared. The study is based on the assumption that passive leg movement, which is mediated by the Erigo, will maintain venous return, cardiac output, and a significant drop in blood pressure and development of orthostatic hypotension,...
Carpal tunnel syndrome in spinal patients
Zmeškalová, Petra ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (advisor) ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (referee)
The aim of this work is confirming of incidence carpal tunnel syndrom in patients with spinal cord lesion. This ailment stem from repetitive loading of hands on propulsion of mechanical wheelchair. Work contains the causes of biginning, risk factors for patients, prevention, conservative and operation therapy. Thesis involves characteristic of patient after spinal cord injury, seat and wheelchair propulsion. The practice task contains case report of patient and suggestion of therapy for her. Rehabilitation treatment at the spinal unit. Theoretical basis and practical experience
Punčochářová, Lenka ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (referee)
After spinal cord injury occur a lot of complication, with resulting from neurological picture. These can be central, peripheral or mix paresis in some cases even plegie. Often an autonomic nervous system can be demaged, causing complication practice in nearly all body systems. Rehabilitation attend belongs to basic care of paretic patients and is closely connected with basic with basic nursing methods from which the physiotherapy of these patients arise. This survey gives a summary of procedures and methods of physiotherapy , which help the patient to prevent and better respond to the complication treatment e.g. on respiratory and movement apparatus. Complex physiotherapeutic treatment concentrates mainly on prevention of complications. The physiotherapist must anticipate formation of complications and adapt the comlexity of the treatment. Implants for nervous system
Kuruc, Lukáš ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This thesis deals with implants for nervous system. The first part of this thesis focuses on theoretical analysis of this issue, makes reader familiar with seriousness of spinal cord injury, its treatments options and regeneration with hydrogel implants. The second part describes experimental manufacturing of implants, testing patency and summary of their properties.
Methodology of spinal cord injury model design in miniature pigs and its application for new methods of treatment and drugs testing
Maršala, M. ; Motlík, Jan ; Juhás, Štefan ; Juhásová, Jana
The goal of proposed methodology is to describe the possibilities of reproducible and adjustable minipigs spinal cord injury model utilization in preclinical practice for new methods of treatment and drugs testing potentially favorable for therapy of acute and chronic spinal cord injury in human. The methodology has been developed as a part of solution to program of applied research and experimental development ALFA Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, subprogram Progressive technologies, materials and systems (TA01011466; 80%) and Operational Program Research and Development for Innovation Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (project ExAM - CZ.1.05./2.1.00/03.0124; 20%).
Development of a volunteer program "Personal assistance - a way of activation people after SCI" and its practical use in the Paraple centre
PŠAJDLOVÁ, Veronika
In this thesis the attention is primarily focused on various issues associated to spinal cord impairment. Sustaining a spinal cord impairment with the consequent lifelong paralysis may be considered to be one of the most serious life events due to its devastating and wide-ranging impact on people{\crq}s lives. The major objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with the assessment of empirical research duration and results as well as with the process of a volunteer programme formation.
