The Role of a Text in Dramatic Art.

The present BA thesis focuses on the role and the nature of a text in dramatic Arts and the relation of a dramatic text and a theater performance. Its aim is to demonstrate the place of dramatic text in the structure of dramatic Arts and important meaning of stage directions. The method of comparison is used in this BA thesis to introduce dramatic Arts in the context of czech aesthetics and semiotics of theater.
Drama education - path from Comenius´s Schola ludus to the current concept

Analysis of motivation among the spectators of Prague professional theaters

This Master Thesis maps the scene of the professional theaters in Prague from the spectators' perspective. Consequently it points out the most important motivation factors for each market segment that leads people to visit the shows. The theoretical part defines the terms theater and drama. It also analysis theater market in the Czech Republic and Prague's professional drama scene. Moreover, it specifies a marketing mix in the context of theaters, introduces the basic principles of marketing research and states the fundamental basis for a theory of motivation. Analytical part is based on a quantitative research realized through a questionnaire survey. Subjects were Prague residents, both men and women across all age groups and different levels of education. Minor improvements for theaters marketing strategy were proposed according to the research findings. Particular attention was paid to the special theatrical events held in Prague.

This bachelor´s work is about a reflection of life and success and fame of the opera singer Stanislava Součková ? Ryšavá. The bachelor´s work is separated into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part engages in a description and survey the Oral History. The practical part is about a reflection of the life of the singer and furthermore a documentation of her success. The chosen method is Oral History. Next part of the work is devoted to the survey in which I want to find out the interest of the young and older generation in the opera and theatre. I want to find out the knowledge of the singer Stanislava Součková ? Ryšavá. I interviewed the director of the South bohemian theatre Mister Jiří Šesták. We talked about the results of the survey and I found out his opinion of the attitude of the young generation to culture. Finally I wanted to find out if some records still exist and how the interest in this record is.
Marketing of art and mainstream films and differences in their perception and promotion in Europe and USA.

Film marketing is gaining new features every day and is underlying a dynamic development. This work is devoted to two categories of films - art house and mainstream films in European and American markets. Film is a very complex and unique product and therefore requires specific distribution and communication strategies. This thesis analyses the differences in marketing and promotion between art house and mainstream films. The aim of this paper is to explore contemporary means of marketing art house and mainstream films as well as the differences in the perception of these film categories by the viewers. The theoretical part is devoted to set light upon the differences in expectations of the viewer and the various marketing strategies with regard to these film categories. The practical part is dedicated to the analysis of the qualitative research, which was carried out for the purposes of this thesis. The research is based on personal interviews as well as on a questionnaire survey. The conclusion resulting from this research is applied on the hypotheses stated in the beginning of the thesis and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of different marketing tools used by these two film categories as well as their anticipated future development.
Analysis of the system of subsidies to the theater in Prague

The content of this thesis is the description of the grant system in the capital city of Prague , and as one of the possible funding options theaters with regard to the financing of culture . The way financial support is strongly influenced by cultural politics in Prague. The main purpose of the grant system is a description of Prague as well as comparing the two management allowance organization representing the theaters of the city and limited liability company . A sub- goal is to describe the transformation of Prague allowance organizations , theaters. In this work the method used comparative analysis between the railing and theaters without railings.
The Native Theatre, a Business Plan

The thesis focuses on setting up a business plan for The Native Theater. The theater aims to be the first theater in Prague to perform plays in their original language which should be conducted by its own ensemble as well as in cooperation with foreign theaters. In the first part the thesis focuses on theoretical questions regarding a business plan and its requirements. The second part discusses single practical features as they were introduced in the theoretical part. The thesis looks particularly into the market environment which the theater enters to, the marketing activities of the newly established company as well as on the financial plan of a theater that should exist independently of municipal grants.
The influence of organizationally legal form on financing of theaters

The main target of the dissertation is to analyse and evaluate the financial management of the three types of organizationally legal forms for theatres, namely the allowance organization, the public service company and the private body. The first part is focused on the general characteristics of the allowance organization, methods of financing and the issue of funds under the new legislation. The practical part is focused on the analysis of financing of Švandovo theater, Dejvické theatre and the Theatre in Celetná, whose founder is Gaspar, s. r. o. Followed by a comparison of certain indicators between the theatres and the determination of the impact of these indicators has organizationally legal form in which the theatres work.
Laterna magika - Enrichment of Aesthetic Perception?

The aim of the bachelor thesis is, on the basis of the analysis of film and theatre state in 50s of the 20. century both in Czechoslovakia and in the world, establish the basis and influences for the establishment of Laterna Magika. The relating task is, through possibilities of film and theatre, determined the boundaries of these different types of art and find out in what relationship they are or could be under the terms of Laterna Magika performance. The results of this theoretical part will confront subsequently with the analysis of selected Laterna Magika performances.
The Influence of Theatre on a Preschool Child

The aim of work is to highlight the impact of theater on the personality development of children preschool age and education elements of theater. The theoretical part is aimed at the preschool age child's personality and the importance of pre-term for shaping the child's own identity. It is aimed at the game and its importance in the lives of children preschool age and the specificities of the performing arts working in the preschool age child. The practical part is devoted to research and to the method of interviews with teachers and parents of preschool children preschool age and the observation of children from nursery schools in theatrical performances.
