East Germany 1989-2009: Integration and economic development

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the area of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) experienced a short economic and politic transformation that resulted in reunification with the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG). The original optimistic expectations of a fast and significant catching-up effect, however, soon disappeared. Even if enormously supported by West Germany, twenty years after German reunification the region has not achieved much better economic advance than the economically most successful countries in the middle and eastern part of Europe. The paper analyses the real state of the eastern German economy and its development in the last 20 years using three basic problem areas: industrial base, migration streams from the eastern to the western part of Germany and the labour market. During the course of the last 20 years, these areas has belonged to the most visible economic problems of the eastern part of Germany.
The support of integrating elderly people into labour process in Czech Republic

Czech Republic aswell as the other developed European countries passes through an unpleasant demographical progress, which has an unfortunate impact on the economic sector and endangeres prosperous function of the social systém organised by the state. The target of this study is an analysis of tools supporting integration of elderly people into the work process in Czech Republic as one of the possible solutions of the demographic situation that came up. At first the study concentrates on demographical trends in structural changes of economic generations and its relations. Next, the analysis of tools to stimulate employment is accomplished aswell for the both sides - supply of labour and the demand for labour. Special attention is given to the problem of motivation to work by the low qualified groups of population. It is followed by an analysis of foreign experiences and deduction of recommendation for Czech Republic.
Analysis of immigration of Romanians to Italy and the impact on the labor market

The main aim of this thesis is to analyse the migration of Romanians to Italy after 2002. The theoretical part is focused at the causes of migration and migration policy with emphasis on Italy, which adopted laws to regulate the influx of migrants into the country. The practical part includes the placement of Romanians in Italy and their impact on the labour market. The context of immigration of Romanians in Italy after 2002 has been analysed in connection with economic reasons of migration. As examined economic reasons, I chose - GDP per capita, unemployment rate, average wage, minimum wage, social security and government spending on education. Connection are sought primarily in the neoclassical theory of migration.
The Significance and Impacts of Child Labour in Developing Countries

This bachelor thesis is dealing with the problem of child labour. It is determining its incidence in world regions and economic sectors and describing a model of labour market where the percentage of working children is high (by the economists Basu and Tzannatos). The aim of the thesis is to map the market of child labour, define economic causes and find out possible solutions which would be effective in combating with this phenomenon. The thesis is analysing diverse attitudes of developing countries, as well as the actual situation in the developed part of the world. On the basis of an analysis by the International Labour Organization, the bachelor thesis is proving that the eliminating of child labour makes sense, not only from the social and human rights' point of view, but also for the economic perspective. Although initial costs are very high, this investment will be definitely repaid to a country in following years. In the conclusion, the thesis is proposing actions which could be taken by developing countries in conjunction with international organizations.
Status of women within business and entrepreneurship in the Arab world

This bachelor thesis will deal with the status of women within business and entrepreneurship in the Arab world. The thesis addresses the development of Islam, women's rights and the situation of women in the workplace. It will also examine the status of women within the labour market of the Arab world. It touches on the demographic development of the Arab region, as well as health care and education. From an economic point of view, the thesis deals with unemployment in the region, evaluation of work and the contribution of women as workers. In addition, it discusses obstacles to women entering the labor market.
Impact of international migration on the labour market of the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the international migration to the Czech Republic. Text also includes the introduction to this theme. Then the there are theoretical concepts and explanation of particular types, factors, reasons and stages of migration; there is parsing in detail of migrants according to their administrative-legal status as well. Then there is an explanation of current development of migration to the Czech Republic and its possible influence on the Czech economy by means of tables, graphs and data from Czech Statistical Office. The bachelor thesis contains description of particular legislation which deals with rights and obligations of migrants in the Czech Republic. At ending there is a summary of total impact of foreigners on the labour market of the Czech Republic and also my ideas how to perfectionise the migration policy in favour of the Czech Republic.

In my labour I tried to describe and evaluate politics of migration in European Union.I specialized in foreigners stay in Czech Republic. It emphasizes a progress of foreigners number through the years 1997 to 2008. It solves the foreigners structure in Czech Republic in accordance with their nationality. The Czech Republic has been faced with the considerable increase in the number of foreigners in the last few years. In this text I asked the question, how the Czech society copes with this trend. I was especially also interested in the rising number of foreigners who participate economically in the Czech labour market. After that I mentioned international and european legal regulation. In other part I focused on legal regulation in Czech Republic in history and nowadays and on illegal migration in Czech republic. I also dealed with the status of the asylum applicants and under age asylum applicants.
Questions of Full Employment in Terms of German Economic Miracle

I will aim to point to causes and factors, which have had consequences to quick economy increase in Germany's destruction economy after war. Aside from analyze single steps, which have led to restart Germany economy the emphasis will be given on economic and political concept of socially market economy which was one of the main pillars of Germany economy miracle with emphasis on full employment problems.
Position of immigrants in German labour market

Bachelor thesis is focused on position of the immigrants in German labour market. The first chapter defines basic terms related to migration. The point of this chapter is to show relation between historic events and their influence on migration. One part describes causes of migration and also its consequences on countries receiving or sending labour force. The second chapter is focused on migration policy of Germany and describes possibilities of entering and living in Germany and what are the rules for the EU members. Moreover this chapter provides detailed characteristic of migrants, their age, nationality, reason and place of stay. The aim of the third chapter is to describe the position migrants in German labour market according to their unemployment rate, wages and possibilities of employment in comparison with situation in France. Furthermore this chapter is focused on integration and naturalization of foreigners and position of so called second generation of migrants.

Tato bakalářská práce by měla objasnit, proč nedochází k výraznému zlepšení v počtu nezaměstnaných osob se zdravotním postižením. Dalším jejím cílem je nastínit působení institucí, které byly vytvořeny ve snaze o zjednodušení života zdravotně postižených. Potřebné informace poskytne agentura podporovaného zaměstnávání. Pro zdravotně postižené je obtížné nalézt stálé zaměstnání, a tak má tato práce popsat zkušenosti zdravotně postižených s hledáním zaměstnání a sumarizovat překážky, s kterými se nejčastěji potýkají. Výsledky tohoto šetření se následně zobrazí ve SWOT analýze. Teoretická část je věnována studiu institucionálního rámce a právního prostředí. Také se zaměřuje na politiku zaměstnávání občanů zdravotně postižených a zabývá se nástroji určenými jak pro postižené, tak pro jejich zaměstnavatele. Analytická část bude prováděna formou dotazníkového šetření.
