Zplynování biomasy v termickém plazmatu

Je studován proces zplynování biomasy v termickém plazmatu. Energetická bilance zplynování dřeva je analyzována na základě termodynamické analýzy procesů v reaktoru. Kinetika procesu je popsána pomocí řešení rovnic přenosu tepla a Arheniovy rovnice. Experimenty s pyrolýzou biomasy byly provedeny v reaktoru s hybridním plazmatronem s obloukem stabilizovaným plynem a vodou. Byl produkován syngas s vysokým obsahem vodíku a CO.

Integration of Biomass Gasification with High Temperature Fuel Cells

This contribution gives information about possibilities of efficient production of fuel gas for high temperature fuel cells (SOFC or MCFC) by biomass gasification, esp. in fluidized beds, about efficient fuel gas cleaning, requirements and practical limits of fuel gas purity and effects of basic operating parameters on the efficiency of fuel gas production. The overall efficiency of power production based on biomass gasification with steam cycle, combined cycle and cycles exploiting high temperature fuel cells is estimated.

Determination of Biomass Concentration on Inorganic Carrier

The aim of this work have been to develop method of determination of biomass concentration of cells immobilized on inorganic carrier, based on measuring of 3D-fluorescence spectra. A model bacteria strain was Pseudomonas sp. 2, isolated from soil contaminated by PCBs. The method was calibrated by weighing of dry mass. We have identified wavelengths of excitation and emission light at which the intensities of fluorescence were proportional to the concentration of biomass within the growth curves of cells planted on biphenyl or biphenyl with Delor 103 as sole carbon sources.
