The research method for data collection were two anonymous questionnaires: one prepared by author of the thesis and a standardized questionnaire by dr. Pines to determine the risk of burnout. It was found that more than hlaf of nurses in FN Motol had low risk of burnout and has not demonstrated that nurses have on children's or adult wards increased risk. Results confirmed that discontent and the increasing intensity of stress in the workplace is proportional to the risk of burnout. This research confirmed that although most nurses achieved good results has been shown a high percentage of nurses with alarmig score and even burnout. Therefore we should not ignore this issure, but rather to warn him and avoid unpleasant consequences through educational seminars, pleasant working environment and do not overload nurses. Induced demand in health care
Konečný, Martin ; Šťastný, Daniel (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
In this bachelor thesis are examined two hypotheses. The goal of the first hypothesis is to provide an evidence of physicians induced demand. This hypothesis is examined by regression analysis using fixed effects method. An assumption, that outpatient surgeons will provide less control checks when facing increased number of patients was confirmed. However, final effect is negligible. The goal of the second hypothesis is to amend paper Fuchs (1978) and find out, if better quality surgeons recommend less surgery. The results of the analysis indicate that this statement is true and Fuchs (1978) did not underestimate this effect.

Vyskotová, Jana ; Marková, Eva (advisor) ; Prošková, Eva (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to find which factors prevail to influence the decisions that nurses make in intensive care and on what basis they decide. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part the terms such as decision, decision-making situations, mistakes in decision-making have been determined, and the issues concerning the decisions in nursing and in the competences of nurses connected with decisions have been analysed. In the empirical part the results of questionary regarding the decisions of nurses in intensive care have been processed and analysed. 97 subjects among the nurses in intensive care have taken part in the testing. From the analysis of the data received from the questionary there comes out that the majority of nurses in intensive care (74 %) are not convinced that the school has prepared them for making decisions from both the theoretical and practical point of view. On contrary, the majority of nurses in intensive care are convinced that their education (79 %) and practice (97 %) may enable decisions. The majority of nurses in intensive care (96 %) are able to make independent decisions mostly in the area of basic nursing care. Hendrichová, Miluše ; Horák, Jiří (advisor) ; Ehrmann, Jiří (referee) ; Martásek, Pavel (referee) ; Moťovská, Zuzana (referee)
Kvantifikace jaterních funkcí pomocí dechového testu s 13 C-methacetinem MUDr. Miluše HENDRICHOVÁ SUMMARY Efforts to evaluace and quantify liver functions has accompanied hepatology over the last 50 years at least. Quantification of liver function was hindered by multiple blood samploing, the low specificity of monitored parameters and the risk of allergic reactions when using conventional chromoexcretory tests. The introduction of breath tests using the non-radioactive isotope 13C allows non-invasive and highly accurate measurement of liver function. Especially 13C.methacetin is a very suitable substrate for evaluation demethylační and oxidative capacity of hepatocytes. Using the breath test with 13 C-methacetin is noninvasive, easy for patients and the results are reproducible. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the use of breath test with 13 C-methacetin into clinical practice as one of standard items in the care of patients with chronic liver diseases. In the first study we are evaluating liver function using breath test with 13 C-methacetin in patients with liver cirrhosis. The results show that the breath test reliably distinguishes patients with liver cirrhosis from patients without liver damage. Using ROC curves we demonstrate that the most advantageous time of the breath test that best predicts...

An analysis of the determinants of sales decrease in spa Teplice nad Bečvou
Hošťálková, Tereza ; Melzochová, Jitka (advisor) ; Mirvald, Michal (referee)
This work deals with analysis of determinants affecting sales of spa facility of Teplice nad Bečvou between years 2008 and 2012 and determining how recommendations of patients for spa medical treatment affect its sales. Using logical reasoning we can assume that increase of recommendations will also cause increasing of sales. In the theoretical part, the reform of public health care and its expected influence on financing spa care is elaborated. Empirical analysis is based on dates, which contain 60 observations overall. Using regression, the crucial finding of this study is that increasing of recommendations of patients by a unit (=one suggested patient) leads to decreasing of sales by 0,051%. The amount of sales was applied to December and the result showed that the sales are higher throughout the year than in December, excluding January, where sales are lower.
