Gender Recognition from Photograph
Kałuża, Marian ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This paper presents a multiresolution approach for gender recognition based on Histogram of Oriented Gradients and Local Binary Patterns. The experiment showed that gender recog- nition accuracy can be improved not only by aquiring different features on the same image resolution but even by gathering just a single feature at different image scales. The pre- sented approach is quite competitive with above 95% accuracy in both evaluated datasets.
Evolutionary Design of Simulator Based on Cellular Automata
Brigant, Vladimír ; Šperka, Svatopluk (referee) ; Mrnuštík, Michal (advisor)
This work describes concept of a cellular automata (CA) simulator, which is able to predict behaviour of a complex spatial system. This prediction is based on available training data and transition rule acquired from regression analysis powered by evolutionary algorithms. Two regression analysis methods (linear and logistic regression) are suggested, implemented and compared on urban growth prediction of Brno city.
Home Information System
Knyrevich, Michail ; Matějka, Pavel (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis involves the development of the Informational system for home, especially its Energy module. Some existing informational systems of this topic are analyzed there. Further, there is a formal concept of self Energy module , which is based on gained information. The part of this concept is prediction system of energetic expenses, which uses a weather monitoring. Realization and testing with usage of web technologies (especially the Zend Framework) are placed at the end of my thesis.
Prediction of Time Series Using Statistical Methods
Beluský, Ondrej ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Schwarz, Josef (advisor)
Many companies consider essential to obtain forecast of time series of uncertain variables that influence their decisions and actions. Marketing includes a number of decisions that depend on a reliable forecast. Forecasts are based directly or indirectly on the information derived from historical data. This data may include different patterns - such as trend, horizontal pattern, and cyclical or seasonal pattern. Most methods are based on the recognition of these patterns, their projection into the future and thus create a forecast. Other approaches such as neural networks are black boxes, which uses learning.
Creation of New Prediction Units in Data Mining System on NetBeans Platform
Havlíček, David ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Lukáš, Roman (advisor)
The issue of this master's thesis is a creation of new prediction unit for existing system of knowledge discovery in database. The first part of project deal with general problems of knowledge discovery in database and predictive analysis. The second part of the project deal with system developed on FIT, for which is module implemented, used technologies, concept and implementation of mining module for this system. The solution is implemented in Java language and is a built on the NetBeans platform.
Computer Identification Based on Packet's Timestamps
Krba, Martin ; Košař, Vlastimil (referee) ; Kaštil, Jan (advisor)
Basic way how to identify a device in computer network is by MAC address and IP address. Main goal of this work is to create an application capable of clear identification of devices in computer network regardless change of their MAC address or IP address. This is done by exploiting tiny deviations in hardware clock known as clock skew. They appear in every clock based on quartz oscillator. Using clock skew is beneficial, because there is no need of any changes in fingerprinted device nor their cooperation. Accessing these values is done by capturing packets with timestamps included. Application of this method is very wide, for example computer forensics, tracking the device using different access points or counting devices behind router with NAT.
Approximation of Terrain Data Utilizing Splines
Program by měl vyčíslit více bodů najednou a měl by pracovat v $n$-dimensionálním prostoru.
Market price modelling by real estates with multiple linear regression
Studený, Marek ; Ulverová, Michaela (referee) ; Cupal, Martin (advisor)
The main subject of the diploma thesis is a market price modeling by real estates. As a tool for modeling, is used a multiple linear regression. As starting points, are used an econometrical theory and knowledge about real estate valuation. The main goal is to find optimal model for best capture in the time and place.
The Introduction and Application of General Regression Model
Hrabec, Pavel ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Bednář, Josef (advisor)
This thesis sumarizes in detail general linear regression model, including testing statistics for coefficients, submodels, predictions and mostly tests of outliers and large leverage points. It describes how to include categorial variables into regression model. This model was applied to describe saturation of photographs of bread, where input variables were, type of flour, type of addition and concntration of flour. After identification of outliers it was possible to create mathematical model with high coefficient of determination, which will be usefull for experts in food industry for preliminar identification of possible composition of bread.
Determination of the performance of the cooling circuit - cooling tower
Velešík, Aleš ; Hanzal, Luděk (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to determine the performance and description of the cooling circle in the cooling tower. In order to do that there was applied the linear regression approach in order to create structural empirical model of the cooling tower. The data obtained was analysed through QC expert software, which, if correct data applied, identifies suitable model for specific tower. The models created will be used for diagnostics of the cooling circles and as a comparison tool with other cooling towers in the future. Thus, the findings of this thesis are polynoms, which in thic technological setup characterise the models of the cooling towers.
