Steel foot-bridge

The diploma thesis describes the design and assessment of steel footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists across the river Svratka in Brno. As the main material of structural elements was used steel S355. In the beginning is deal with two variants of structural system, which are compared with each other and the better variant is chosen. The main structural system of chosen variant consist of two parabolic arches bend down to each other on which is suspended by suspenders intermediate deck. The deck consist of two steel beams with floor beams and composite cencrete slab. The span length is 50 m.

Exhibition pavilion

The thesis deals with the design and review of the supporting structure of the exhibition pavilion in the suburb of Brno. The design is shaped dome built over the octagonal floor plan with eight lateral niches. The pavilion is 30m wide and 8 meters tall.

Bakalářská práce popisuje základní komunikační situace mezi knihovníkem a čtenářem. Při tvorbě bakalářské práce byl proveden průzkum pomocí dotazníků v Knihovně Jiřího Mahena v Brně pro zmapování úrovně komunikace čtenářů a knihovníků a pro zmapování komunikačních schopností zaměstnanců. Práce má šest stěžejních kapitol. První část podává základní informace o Knihovně Jiřího Mahena v Brně a jejích přidružených střediscích. Druhá kapitola se zabývá teorií komunikace. Její důležitou součástí je pojednání o rétorice, které je úzce propojeno se třetí částí práce popisující klasické formy komunikace, které probíhají v knihovně mezi čtenářem a knihovníkem. Další dvě kapitoly jsou věnovány výsledkům vlastního dotazníkového šetření zacíleného na zmapování úrovně komunikace v Knihovně Jiřího Mahena v Brně. Poslední kapitola přináší návrh Etického kodexe pro zaměstnance Knihovny Jiřího Mahena v Brně. Příloha bakalářské práce potom obsahuje oba typy použitých dotazníků (pro čtenáře i zaměstnance). Text bakalářské práce může posloužit jako soubor doporučení pro knihovníky nebo jako návod pro průzkum spokojenosti uživatelů knihovny. Dramatization of Olbracht's novel the Bandit Nikolai Shuhai

The theme of the thesis named Dramatization of Olbracht's Nikola Šuhaj loupežník is focused on the secondary life of Olbracht's prose on Czech stages, in film and in other media as well. The interpretation begins with the recapitulation of circumstances of the creation and the initial reception of the novel and from its analysis related to the genre, language, style and composition, and proceeds with analyses of the individual dramatizations, created primarily by Peter Ulrich (LP Nikola Šuhaj loupežník, 1974; Nikola Šuhaj loupežník, Ateliér 1975; Koločava, Městské divadlo Brno 2011) or by Milan Uhde (Balada pro banditu, Divadlo na provázku 1975 and 2005; film 1978). Special attention is paid to the fact that the key dramatizations of Olbracht's Nikola Šuhaj loupežník worked with music and songs in their theatre adaptations and they used them as a means of expression that intensified the lyrical passages and allowed to transfer the poetics of the given literary model into a very impressive contemporary theatre form. Reconstruction of Water Treatment Plant Babice

This study deals with a reconstruction of the water treatment plant. The First chapter gives a brief overview of iron and manganese common removal methods. The next chapter looks at technical condition evaluation of urban water networks and presents a new methodology TEA Water developed by Brno University of Technology, module TEAT-Water Treatment Plants in particular. Following chapters describes local water distribution system and current condition of the water treatment plant. The main aim of this thesis is to choose the best suitable technologies for water treatment in order to reduce high operating expenses, especially energy consumption and to reduce volume of backwash water.

Hydraulic analysis of the Brno – Ivanovice water supply system

This diploma´s thesis aims to model the hydraulic model of the Brno – Ivanovice water supply system. The software MIKE URBAN for model hydraulic model of water supply system was used. It was performed a simulation of the various states of loading. The water supply system was assessment of pressure ratios. The outcome of this work is calibrated hydraulic model of water supply system. The appendix consists also of drawings, which represented pressure ratios, which are situated on water supply system. On the fourth drawing is described transparent situation of Brno-Ivanovice water supply system.

Identifying progressive trends in urban transport in Liberec, Brno, Plzen, Ostrava and Bratislava

In theoretical part concept of Smart Cities and urban mass transportation is introduced. Analysis starts with city s approach to strategic documents in transportation (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans) and their performing in compliance with Smart City concept. Integration of urban transport to integrated transport system is also analysed. Next part describes innovations which are useful for passengers and electronic ticketing systems. Goal is to identify these innovative trends and benchmark success in their introduction in chosen cities. Sources are both public (strategic documents, annual reports) and internal (data from companies).

Aircondition of multifunctional hall

This thesis is developed for the design of air conditioning equipment for multifunctional hall in Brno. The specified object is designed hot-air heating and air conditioning. The theoretical part focuses on the problems of return gainig heat. Project part project has developed to implement the air conditioning equipment for screening room and foyer with toilets, first mechanism is for air condition and second mechanism is for hot air-heating.

Funding districts of selected cities

This dissertation is focused on description, explanation and creation of financial relationships which are created based on criteria and weights between district and Capital of Prague and between districts and city of Brno. The reference period covers years between 2013 and 2015. In budget of Prague capital these transfers are labelled as subsidy relationship, in the city of Brno these transfers are labelled as non-purposed subsidy. This work identifies criteria which are determinative for amount of assigned income. The next section is an analysis of the management of the Brno-Chrlice and the district of Prague-Reporyje for the years 2007-2015. Part of this work is switching criteria and their weights for the district of Prague and the City of Brno and the conversion of financial relationships to one inhabitant of urban areas and evaluation of this change for the district.
