Hydrological regime of the Labský důl Valley
Ducháček, Libor ; Jeníček, Michal (referee) ; Šobr, Miroslav (advisor)
The glacier valley of Labský důl is one of the most significant relicts of the Pleistocene mountain glaciations in the Czech Republic. Majority of research in this area has been focused on geomorphologic patterns and hydrological characteristic was touched just marginally. This work contains basic hydrographic and hydrologic characteristics based on the understanding of the local environment. Detailed research was implemented on the part of the watershed closed by the water level gauge installed by PřF UK. There is described the watershed reaction during different rainfall episodes and it is evaluated according to hydrological balance equation. It was used several interpolation methods to reach the influence of the particular parts of the equation. The most important content of this file lays in hydrological regime and first of all in amount of data and information, which could be used to create rainfall-runoff model of the Labe River. Modelling impacts of minimal quality standards and protection against misleading advertising on consumers’ utility
Chaloupka, Jan ; Burian, Jan (advisor) ; Řepa, Václav (referee)
In this thesis we explore the importance of consumer protection (concretely protection against misleading advertising and minimal quality standards of product) for providing consumers' utility. Our target is to discover whether these protections are necessary for providing consumers' utility or not, and whether are the consumers able to provide themselves equal or higher utility (then can mentioned protections do), scilicet through their mutual communication and buying behavior. Furthermore, we want to discover, if can happen a situation in which the mentioned protection decline the consumers' utility, in comparison with situation, when no protections exist. These conclusions are stated for concrete product (LCD TV) and concrete society (little community within the Czech Republic society), whereas we explore the influence of consumer protection both on utility of whole community and on utility of each social class within different proportions of these classes within society. For this research has been created an original multi-agent model, in which we simulate consumer behavior and companies behavior on market. The important parts of the model architecture are presented in this thesis: principles of social structure creation (based on the knowledge about social groups and different types of social ties), buyer behavior and principles of consumer communication through social network, and decision of companies about product characteristics. In conclusion we have interpreted the simulation results and have stated an importance of consumer protection in tested society buying tested product.

Information society - risks and needs to ensure user´s use of eGovernment and electronic services in Czech republic
Host, Daniel ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Fischer, Roman (referee)
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to an overview of potential risks and threats emerging to citizen (considered in this term as user) as a part of information society. These threats are possible to come across with using public administration information systems or electronic systems and services provided by private sector subjects. For establishing and developing information society were accepted several state information politics which were further supported by passing laws. Theses also gives the list with some state institutions which arose and are based on chosen laws related to information society, securing and protecting citizens' electronic identity from misuse. In further sections, there are public administration information systems described, also their principle and contribution for citizens, overview of chosen web-applications and services of eGovernment with overview of web-services of private sector institutions that can be met by citizen (user) on the Internet. In most cases, "common" user of services available on the Internet is not aware enough of potential risks and threats that he can come across. Therefore it's important for any user wanting to take advantages of services of public administration or private sector to have a certain amount of knowledge that will help user prevent such threats and risks. List of most common threats for user is also provided with explanation of how the user's computer can be infiltrated or attacked. For preventing infiltration and attacks are usually required special programs. Thesis gives a brief manual for user of most common programs each focused on chosen threat with some practical pieces of advice.

Consociationalism as a Possible Solution of Conflicts in Segmented Societies: The Case of Lebanon and Northern Ireland
Klevarová, Kateřina ; Ditrych, Ondřej (advisor) ; Mrklas, Ladislav (referee)
The Master's thesis "Consociationalism as a Possible Solution of Conflicts in Segmented Societies: The Case of Lebanon and Northern Ireland" deals with suitability of consociational model in fragmented societies. By means of the comparative studies of Lebanon and Northern Ireland the author considered possibility to apply the system in countries or regions, which experienced long lasting internal conflict or civil war. The conclusion of the essay is that consociational model is a possible solution of conflicts in segmented societies. However the analysis of the peace process in both cases revealed the importance of external factors, which can contribute to the final implementation of the model. The link between collective identities and interests revealed the requirement of sufficient motivation for elite to engage in power sharing and to take the tough decisions conducive to inter-ethnic political accommodation. This pressure should come in the form of coercive external forces. However, it is necessary to consider the dynamics of the system, which is rigid and it will need certain modifications in the future.

Ecohydromorphological survey of streams in nature protected areas: application in the Klíčava River catchment
Šilhánová, Věra ; Matoušková, Milada (advisor) ; Hůla, Petr (referee)
The focus of this thesis is on the application of ecohydromorphological survey of a small watercourses flowing through the Landscape Protected Area Křivoklátsko (LPA Křivoklátsko). A brief characterization of the study are, the catchment area of the Klíčava River, was written based on the study of literature as well as on the digital and analogue bases. The specificity of this region lies in the presence of the valley reservoir Klíčava, Lánská deer-park and the LPA Křivoklátsko. Two different methods of a stream habitat survey were applied, the Czech field survey method the EcoRivHab (Matoušková, 2003, 2007) and the River Habitat Survey - RHS (Environmental Agency, 1997, 2003) from the United Kingdom used in the UK and some other European states. This thesis examines the possibility of the application of these methods on a small watercourse running through a hilly country with a significant proportion of natural reaches, which are situated mainly in the Lánská deer-park. These regions were used as models for definitions of reference localities. The most anthropogenically impacted reaches were localized in the upper part of the Klíčava catchment area, which has been in the recent past intensively used for agricultural purposes, nowadays it is only used extensively. This part of the watercourse has been...

Contractual freedom versus protection of employees
Kotula, Tomáš ; Hůrka, Petr (advisor) ; Lang, Roman (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the problematics of the contractual freedom and the protection of employees in labour law relations and the concept of flexicurity which seeks to find balance between these two opposing notions. Its main objective is to evaluate the applicable Czech legislation regulating formation and termination of an employment relationship from the view of flexicurity, including by proposing possible changes of legal instruments within the framework of reflections de lege ferenda. The first part characterizes the contemporary Czech labour law legislation and the concept of flexicurity, followed by its reflection into the Czech Labour Code. This part concludes with an introduction of successful flexicurity models. The following part analyses both development and understanding of flexicurity at European level with the focus on impacts of EU strategy for the Member States. The key parts of this thesis are parts number three and four which deal with the legislation regulating formation and termination of the employment relationship in the Czech Republic. In these parts, relevant legal instruments are first defined and then evaluated with respect to their flexibility and security. The third part defines the course of formation of the employment relationship, particularly on the basis...

The development of the new type of simple, middle accurate approximations of caloric functions of state of wet steam
Bayer, Zdeněk
The study presents the continuation of the new method of analysis of ideal thermal cycles of the piston combustion engines. The method is based on the following principles: i) use of the temperature ratio of the cycle as the basic thermodynamic parameter, ii) use of the specific performance as an additional criterion (besides the thermal efficiency), and iii) the complex thermodynamic optimization of the cycle. These principles are used to perform the analysis of the cycle in the off-design regimes and the derivation of the most important thermodynamic formulae for the ideal thermal cycle of supercharged engines.

The Aplication of DNR orders in clinical practise focused on the issue Non providing aid.
Peterková, Helena ; Císařová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Sovová, Olga (referee)
The Application of DNR orders in clinical practise focused on the issue Non providing aid Do Not Resuscitate orders, as a special type of advanced directives, constitutes an impressive framework full of dilemmas, both between the patient's right to autonomy, self-determination and the physician's duty to provide proper medical care and between the patient's right to autonomy and physician's tendency to apply his/her professional medical opinion. As well this issue has not only the medical and the legal aspect but it possess ethical, sociological and even economical ones, indeed. Despite the fact there are some provisions on the regulation of advance directives at the moment available, neither the position of the patient nor the position of the doctor is actually solved. Furthermore, the legal state of advance directives forces the doctors in order to protect themselves to ignore on purpose the knowledge that there are some advance directives being made by the full competent patient. The consequences of not providing aid are rush ones, with a great possibility of imposing criminal liability for commission of one of the offences against person. On the other hand, the legal protection offered by the means of tort law of the autonomy and selfdetermination of the patient is quite weak, especially in comparison...
