Nonverbal communication and its use in the organization

This thesis deals with the use of nonverbal communication in the organization. The aim is to assess the importance of nonverbal communication in employment relations in the organization, particularly at the time of recruitment and business meetings. The methodology of obtaining empirical information was based on descriptions of nonverbal communication by various authors in publications devoted to practice nonverbal communication. In this thesis was made a comparison of descriptions of different authors and were evaluated similarities and differences between them.

This diploma is devided into two major parts. Theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I consider the meaning of touch which is ambiguouse. Fist of all it should express, by the form of art, our desire and necessity to establish into relationship with another human-being, get in touch and get to know each other. By the time of working at this cycle my form is beginning to change. Touch doesn´t only express relationship but they´re also recording my touching, getting to know myself. The practical part of my thesis focus on production figures. It consists of a cycle of paintings, fiberboard of various sizes made by acrylic technique. These paintings capture directly human bodies in positions of touching, proximity, delay. They capture the joy in positions of direct touch againts deprivation when a person is deprived of contact with another person. The starting point of this thesis is personality and emocionality.
Communication Barriers in the selected workgroup

This thesis deals with communication barriers and their impact on the results of the work process and group climate. It explains the concept of communication, elements of communication process and the basic division of communication, verbal communication, nonverbal communication, effective communication and its elements, requirements for effective communication, communication with managers, managerial communication strategy, the specifics of communication in health care management and internal communication. The thesis further analyzes communication barriers from the perspective of different authors, which is crucial for the practical part, where the results of questionnaire-compiled charts reflecting the different communication barriers from different angles are used. Two sets of questionnaires were developed: one for senior staff and one for subordinates. The group examined was a closed working group in one hospital in the Czech Republic. In the discussion section, results of the research are evaluated and recommendations for the prevention and elimination of the communication barriers are given. The main aim of this work was improvement of communication between employees at all levels and between all levels, increasing the efficiency of manpower and making the working environment more attractive, thus increasing the satisfaction of all employees of this working group.
Nonverbal Educational Communication in Vocational Training at Secondary Vocational Schools

Pedagogical communication is a tool of the implementation of enlightenment. Mutual interplanting of verbal and nonverbal communication is necessary to meet this assumptions. The main topic of this bachelor work is consequently the pedagogical communication and its important part ? nonverbal communication, which is integral part of pedagogical practice. The aim of this bachelor work is to find out what kind of problems in nonverbal communication are teachers within the frame of vocational training experiencing. Primarily the communication will be discribed in theoretical part as an integral, pedagogical communication and its distribution. Except of characteristics of pupils in vocational schools and vocational training, there will be also described difficulties we are in nonverbal communication experiencing. The practical part will be processed by completing the questionnaire adressed to vocational school teachers . Using this method we will be able to uncover nonverbal communication problems appearing during the vocational training.
Interpreter as a part of team in nursing of patient

Abstract: Many foreign-language minorities live in the territory of the Czech Republic; therefore nursing care of other nations in healthcare facilities is not unusual. Mutual communication and understanding influence greatly the quality of nursing care for foreign patients. If a nurse does not know the needs of her foreign patient because of ineffective communication, she is unable to satisfy these needs and thereby provide quality nursing care. This thesis, focusing on topic Interpreter as part of a team taking care of foreign patients, describes, in its theoretical part, the movement of foreigners in the Czech Republic, the principles and elements of intercultural communication for healthcare professionals, interpreters work and involvement in multicultural nursing, and also some interesting facts concerning the communication of certain nationalities. The second part of this thesis consists of quantitative research, which is accompanied by a qualitative survey, through structured interviews with foreigners living in the Czech Republic. The quantitative research was conducted using questionnaires for nurses working in hospitals of South Bohemia. The thesis objective, to identify nurses knowledge needed to ensure a successful and good communication with foreign patients, has been met. Hypotheses for the objective were set as follows: H1 Nurses are already experienced with treating of patients foreigners. H2 Nurses have experiences in communication with members of foreign language minorities. H3 Nurses have some knowledge of the practices of successful communication with foreign patients. H4 Nurses know the contacts to people who they can address if an interpreter is necessary. H5 An interpreter is included in the nursing team treating a foreign patient. On the basis of research results, first two hypotheses have been confirmed; the other hypotheses have not been confirmed by the research. The results of this thesis could serve as an indicator of the need to educate nurses in a multicultural nursing. They could also point out in practice to the suitability of involving an interpreter in a nursing team treating members of foreign-language minorities.
Accents of Social Work of Police Officers

Every police officer goes through a variety of different situations during his/her working day, out of which social contact and communication with other people forms the largest percentage. The profession of police officer is unique and performance of its duties brings with it increased demands on the personality of each police officer in many aspects. Regardless of the official position, rank or place of work, the common basis of the police profession is work with people and information. Mastering the general principles of successful communication and basic communication principles, together with understanding the main causes of communication disagreements, is good communication equipment, which can be applied in everyday communication with others, as well as in professional communication. The aim of this thesis was to determine how members of the traffic police manage aggression of road users towards them if they are subject to punitive measures, whether in dealing with participants of road accidents use haptics as a means of understanding, comprehension or expression of belonging and what they imagine under the slogan "To help and to protect." This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical section provides information on laws and regulations regarding the scope of work and activities of the Police of the Czech Republic with theories and examples of appropriate communication. The practical part presents results of quantitative research through questionnaire survey and results of qualitative research using methods of case report. The research results showed that the traffic police officers would be interested in improving assertive techniques, focusing on good communication to manage aggressive behaviour of road users. It is a challenge for police training centres.
The Difference between the Pedagogic Communication in use of a Primary School Teacher and an After-school Educator

The dissertation is focused to the field of communication and it is divided up to three sections, which concur in order. The first section is aimed to delimitation, definiton, functions and types of social communication. The second section is applied to the pedagogic communication in a primary school background, and there are stated, as well as in the first section, definitions, functions and verbal and nonverbal communication. There are new chapters added to this section, which subsequently apply to the goal, subject, rules of pedagogic communication and the time aspect, that together with organizing forms and methods of teaching has the influence on the pedagogic communication. The last section is concentrated on the pedagogic communication in a after school daycare background, the content structure copies the previous section. For further specification, there is a chapter added in this section, that is focused to after school daycare as a place for education and cultivation in the time of not school teaching. The goal of this dissertation was the comparison of differences in pedagogic communication in a primary school and in a after-school daycare.
Preferred aspects of a social worker´s communication

This bachelor thesis talks about problems of a social worker´s communication with a client and finds out which aspects of a social worker´s communication are preferred. This thesis contains a theoretical and a practical part. There are concepts like social work, social worker, communication and its kinds {--} verbal, nonverbal and paralinguistic {--} in the theoretical part. Next, there is a chapter which talks about specifics of a social worker´s communication with a client. The practical part deals with a research survey. There are noticed and discussed answers of thirty respondents from two age groups who evaluated the behavior of social workers pursuant to seen scenes. Preferred aspects of a social worker´s communication according to all of respondents are the result of this thesis.
The Meaning of Nonverbal Communication in an Activity of the Leisure-Time Educator

The work is engaged in the explication of nonverbal communication meaning in an activity of the leisure-time educator. The first part describes a common problem of the nonverbal communication. It is focused on the main concepts and communication characters specification, the relationships between verbal and nonverbal communication specification. It is focused on the survey of the factors interacting usage and interpretation of meanings of the nonverbal manifestation. The first part is also engaged in the problems of the nonverbal sensitivity and in particular functions of the nonverbal communication. The second and third part of my work is engaged in the individual and particular way of the nonverbal communication, which are common in a pedagogical communication and which influence the activity of the leisure-time educator.
Psychology of human comunication

The thesis regards nonverbal communication and its function in work suit. It concerns above all relationships among particular co-workers, businessmen and their clients or leading and work candidates.Comfortable atmosphere at work is important for better achievement and feeling of personal significance. Right use of nonverbal communication in business can help to make a good deal and affects trustworthy.The results showed that sum of nonverbal signals can tell us the opinion of the other person no matter what is he or she saying. What are you saying is not what are you thinking about. If you know this diference you can change somebody´s thoughts with right use of nonverbal communication. The research showed that it is not possible to make results or conclusions only with use of two or three nonverbal signals. It is important to compare more signals. The whole thesis showed that nonverbal communication is quiet important and can help us to build better relationships.
