Management creating community gardens - housing development Máj České Budějovice

This master's thesis examines the delineation of a community garden centre including technical and applied theory, which is then incorporated into a functional model. The theoretical part focuses on the creation of community garden centre and the characterization of accompanying aspects from sociology, public spaces, environmental education, legislation and other topics. The second part of this thesis examines applied theory, focusing on the conversion of theoretical knowledge into a functional model of community garden centre. The model is created within a unified strategy and according to public demand. The informatical basis for deciding outputs includes local analysis, SWOT analysis and demand analysis.

Public space as an integral part of city infrastructure at the example of Hradec Králové

The diploma thesis is dealing with public space in the city of Hradec Králové and the main participants that influence the form of public space the inhabitants of the city. The thesis describes the urban development of the city, the implementation of plans in public space and the most important events held. A survey was carried out thanks to which the level of participation of the inhabitants of the city in the events that were held was found out, their aproach towards the public space and the way they saw the changes that were made in the public space. On the whole it summons the recommendations and advice from the inhabitants in this area which is put in contrast with the statement of the authority of Hradec Králové. It also confronts the economic parameters of possible further changes in public space. The thesis results in general advice for the development of public space in the city of Hradec Králové but also in other cities.

This is a description of the square as a public space and the distribution of several types. Then there is the presentation of several examples realizations of the new Czech Republic and abroad, and their evaluation. Finally, the thesis dealt with a similar custom design of public space

The systems of greenery in Czech republic have a lot of specific qualities, which make the image of the city.Urban interior environment mostly serves as a place for various meetings and social events. These spaces come alive thanks to people, who give them reason and meaning. According to the planning of urban space is most importatnt to create it for the people, for their requirements, relax and activities. Greenery with furniture is tha mean factor which makes urban spaces inhabitable and makes cities better. This thesis presents results of field research and shows positive and negative examples.

Studie obnovy veřejných prostor obce Vědomice

My final thesis analyses and evaluates the development of the recent situation of the village of Vědomice. The analyses were made for the general arrangement and functioning of the village. There were made the analyses of the buildings, the civic equipment, the traffic and the green area, as well as the historical development, which is an important part of the general assessment. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the public space from the garden and landscape architecture perspective. The analyses concentrate on the whole cadastral area of the village and one of its parts, the central part called Zavadilka. According to the evaluation of the outcomes of the analyses, basic values and problems of the village are determined. Model solutions and remedies are proposed for the whole cadastral area, to improve the quality of the public space of the village. An architectonic study, made for the selected area, aims at the improvement of the quality of the central space and the increase of its aesthetical and functional value. The basic idea is to create a specific space for the local inhabitants that would serve their everyday needs and would also become a place of relaxing and meeting. The model solutions' proposition made for the whole cadastral area should revert the village to its original character that was lost during the past times and create suitable conditions for quality life of the local inhabitants. Propositions of building new houses, used materials or landscape elements are included in the model solutions.

Soudobá zahrada v historickém kontextu - Zahrada v hradebním příkopu v Telči

The present bachelor thesis "Contemporary Gardens in a Historical Context -- Garden in the fortifikation Moat in Telč" in its theoretical part first introduces an evolution of the town fortifications. It describes its usage from a gardening and landscape point of view from the Gothic period until the 19th century, which was marked by significant changes in the space of the fortification circuits. It shows the possibilities of contemporary landscape architectural works at historical sites with town fortifications, while analysing examples of town gardens in Pilsen, Vyšehrad and Bastion XXXI as well as Boží Muka in Prague. The model object is defined in the proposal of the thesis itself -- the fortifikation moat in the town of Telč. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the field research and subsequent analysis of the analysed area with a view to define a basis for a final design. The design seeks to create a pleasant environment of specific qualities designed for both citizens and visitors of Telč in the space between the murals. The goal of the design is to underline the specific characteristic of such a place, promote its values and to attentively draw modern features into historical context in order to build up a counterbalance to the castle gardens.

The heart of this work is a critical analysis of the impact of advertising on places which basically belong to everyone and are necessary to be protected against any damage. The introduction contains the world and Czechoslovak history of advertising and promotion recording the most important historical events that had formed the character of modern consumer influencing to buy the advertised product . The following part of the text deals with the attributes of the current advertising, its ways of acquiring customers and potential consequences of disruption of the public space, in which it penetrates more and more. The further attention is given to problems rising at the country and city level. The presented problems are mainly ecological, aesthetical, safety and social. As a summary, the work draws attention to the risks possibly associated with living space overfilled by advertising and defines basic options to solve the situation.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of advertising in public space. As it is a today's phenomen, it spreads very fast and it's out of control. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of important concepts, includes a typology of advertising media and public space, outlining the background and defines the scope of the joint advertising and public space. This essay also includes a summary of the main negative aspects of advertising in public space and its possible benefits. In connection with the problem, there is also mentioned the current legislation that deals with this topic even if only marginally. And at last, but not least, there are outlined the possible trends. The task of the practical part is the analysis and evaluation of several examples of the use of advertising media in public space, using the methodics and garden architectural design of public space. The location of the project is a problematic Sportovní street in Brno. The results lead to a clear conclusion that advertising in various degrees degrades specific public space and deprives it of many essential functions, including the residential function.
