Tablet magazines - the history, evolution and current position on the czech media market
Horáčková, Anna ; Cebe, Jan (advisor) ; Švelch, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the origin and development of the tablet-only magazines in the Czech Republic. The component of the thesis is the analysis not only of the tablet-only magazines published on the Czech media market in the period between the years 2012 and 2015, but also the publishing houses themselves that are specialised in this modern and unique technological trend. The essential part of the thesis is then the definition of technological aspects connected with the process of creation and distribution of the magazines and restrictions applied from the legislation area. Theoretical perspective on this issue was then tested and examined in the realized questionnaire survey. The smartphone and the tablet users were subjected to questions regarding their device usage for various activities, and also their awareness about the available tablet-only magazine. The usage of these electronical contents, the attitude to the interactivity, the pricing and the tematical specialization in the new potential tablet magazines were then determined. Based on the development of the market segment in foreign countries, on the opinion of the experts and on my own evaluation, the potential development in the Czech Republic is outlined in the closing part of this thesis via describing the advantages...
Possibilities of using multimédia elements in teaching pre-school education
Bušek, Kamil ; Wolák, Radim (advisor) ; Šťastná, Lucie (referee)
The thesis discusses the current phenomenon of ICT penetration in kindergarten. The author at first take into account the broader context of the issue of changing the role of educator role in postmodern society. After that discusses the process and organizational incorporation of selected courses aimed at training teachers in kindergartens in the area of ICT. The first chapter concludes with a broader, related to the use of ICT focused, analysis of intergenerational differences that determine the further development of educational policy and requirements for the education of children. The second chapter focuses on the issue of school readiness of a child, in particular a close look at the psychological profile of the individual according to his age and development of cognitive function in preoperative stage. It is therefore a basis with which to be reckoned with in the revision of existing knowledge and increased demands on the educational component of pre-school preparation. It is also pointed to specific foreign studies that deal with the question of the effectiveness of the involvement of ICT in teaching preschool children. There is also a look back at criticism of current threats called as digital degeneration. In the third chapter are answered three hypotheses and also concluded whether a...
Optimizing large applications
Liška, Martin ; Hubička, Jan (advisor) ; Mareš, Martin (referee)
Both uppermost open source compilers, GCC and LLVM, are mature enough to link-time optimize large applications. In case of large applications, we must take into account, except standard speed efficiency and memory consumption, different aspects. We focus on size of the code, cold start-up time, etc. Developers of applications often come up with ad-hoc solutions such as Elfhack utility, start-up of an application via a pre-loading utility and dlopen; prelinking and variety of different tools that reorder functions to fit the order of execution. The goal of the thesis is to analyse all existing techniques of optimization, evaluate their efficiency and design new solutions based on the link-time optimization platform. Interactive Debugger for MSIM
Martinec, Tomáš ; Děcký, Martin (advisor) ; Malohlava, Michal (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to extend the debugging possibilities of MSIM by connecting it to the Eclipse IDE. MSIM (MIPS Simulator) is a machine simulator based on a MIPS processor and a simple hardware model. The simulator is primarily used for education of operating systems. At the beginning of this work MSIM provided basic features for debugging the code that runs inside the virtual machine. The basic features are accomplished by implementing GNU Debugger (GDB) remote connection interface and also by several integrated debugging commands. The work presented in this thesis connects the Eclipse IDE debugging front-end to MSIM via the GDB remote connection interface. Necessary means to provide comfortable experience of both source-level and assembly-level debugging are implemented. Additionally, a discussion about advanced debugging features such as: user space code debugging with a thread scope; call tree construction; reverse execution; and other techniques is presented in the thesis.
Dynamic Security Policy Enforcement on Android
Vančo, Matúš ; Malinka, Kamil (referee) ; Aron, Lukáš (advisor)
This work proposes the system for dynamic enforcement of access rights on Android. Each suspicious application can be repackaged by this system, so that the access to selected private data is restricted for the outer world. The system intercepts the system calls using Aurasium framework and adds an innovative approach of tracking the information flows from the privacy-sensitive sources using tainting mechanism without need of administrator rights. There has been designed file-level and data-level taint propagation and policy enforcement based on Android binder.
Linux VPN Performance and Optimization
