Applying SolidWorks Flow Simulation for cooling system of the power converter
Matoušek, Patrik ; Vetiška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Dostál, Lukáš (advisor)
Thesis deals with the issue of cooling power converters. It describes the disposition of power converter M50, produced by ELCOM, a.s., and the distribution and origin of heat losses in the converter. The thesis then describes the process of creating a 3D CAD model of the converter in Solidworks and the procedure for heat simulation of the converter in default state and with cooling fan failures using Solidworks Flow Simulation. The thesis then evaluates the results of these simulations, and on their basis it suggests possible improvements in the design of converter‘s cooling system. These improvements are then evaluated in further simulations. The thesis then describes the verification of performed simulations by comparison with a temperature-rise test.
Filtering structures for fotovoltaic power stations
Hruška, Petr ; Dostál, Tomáš (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to an issue of vibration of photovoltaic panels, which manifests itself primarily in the acoustic field. From the photoelectric effect is gradually getting through photovoltaic cell, panel, string, power plant to define the causes of the vibration. The aim of the work is to design electrical low pass filter that suppress disruptive elements, which prevents audible vibrations of panels and the whole system of photovoltaic power plants.
Rooftop photovoltaic system and its return of investment
Burián, Michal ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Pěcha, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor’s Thesis is focused on a potency of using the Rooftop photovoltaic system, like the investment project. The general principle of the photovoltaic transformation and eventual utility of a sun solar radiation in Czech Republic is described in the first part of the Thesis. Furthermore there is a overview of approachable technology of the photovoltaic systems. The third part contains a review of inverters and photovoltaic systems integration. Following the complete concept of the Rooftop system and the calculation of capital expenditure for the selected property. Finally, the last part of the Thesis attend to summarize produced aggregate energy, the profit assignment due to service system. The main aim is to evaluate the Rooftop photovoltaic system and its return on the investment due to operating costs.
The Model of HVDC Line for Laboratory
Mička, Dominik ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to provide comprehensive information of HDVC transmission and to create laboratory model of HVDC connection. The first part of the thesis presents its pros and cons and provides basic description of individual parts related to the transmission of electrical energy. The thesis also shows proposed design model of HVDC connection, used as a guidance for work in lab environment. Provided are calculated parameters and operational options of working prototype model. Subsequently, the prototype is created and measured test results are compared against calculated and simulated values.
AC power supply with remote control
Štěpnička, Martin ; Papica, Petr (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The project describes the design of controlled inverters or power generator simulating one phase of European or American distribution network. The generator is able to enter into an output signal of a certain fault conditions designed to testing the electromagnetic compatibility of connected devices. The text is divided into three main chapters. The first one deals with the design of the power generating low-frequency signal. The second part describes the power source used for this generator. In the third section describes the program management unit. End of text summarizes the results. The annex contains a schematic designs and printed circuit boards.
230 V inverter for isolated mains supplied from solar cells
Michálek, Pavel ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
In this thesis is presented detail design of power part of DC/DC converter and output inverter. This device will serve for creating an artificial network in a family house where it will be used for supplying selected household appliances which are designed for use in AC network. The converter will be supplied with DC voltage. This tension will be obtained from a system of photovoltaic panels. The output voltage will have alternate character and it will be close to the network voltage 230 V/50 Hz. In the introductory part of thesis are discussed possible topologies of converters and output inverters. Subsequently are designed individual parts of supply inverter. In the final part there are shown waveforms of important values and is given a thesis evaluation.
Combined use of solar energy
Zeman, Miroslav ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the combined use of solar energy. The solar conditions in the Czech Republic are listed in the first part. Further, there is the classification of solar collectors focusing on certain types and detailed description of the solar system scheme. The second part discusses the principle of photovoltaic and its historical development considering panels from the first mentions up to the present. The third part is aimed at the selection of the appropriate object and determination of its power consumption. The following chapter discusses the appropriate connection of the photovoltaic systems, the first connection containing only one inverter, the second containing two low-power invertors. The chapter also contains the connection of the solar system and a description of the individual components considering all schemes. The last chapter includes the technical-economical assessment of the whole project and the calculation of the payback period in case of photovoltaic systems.
DC/AC inverter for small asynchronous machine
Pavlík, Ondřej ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to propose three-phase converter of low power 100W for driving the asynchronous motor. The device is suitable for construction with fans. This proposal was optimized in light of close price and of technical practicability. The arrangement is possible to use in less exacting applications where it was guarded high price of common converters so far. For allocation catalogue scheme were chosen acceptable components and designed the board of printed circuits.
Study of connectivity for PV power station
Krejčí, Tomáš ; Bartošík, Tomáš (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor‘s thesis focused on studying connectivity of PV plant into the distribution system.. The first parts are processed by the conditions of connection of new resources into the distribution system with a focus on photovoltaics. Individual points are taken from the rules of the road grid, which gives the Energy Regulatory Authority. In the second part is given FVS problem. There is a brief history of photovoltaics. More details are described photovoltaic element, its principles, and different types of PV article composition PV panel. There are presented methods of operation FVS. The last section is designed to PVP via PC software.
Project of Photovoltaic Power Plant Grid Connection
Blažek, Tomáš ; Procházka, Aleš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with photovoltaic technology and economic evaluation of used technology equipment. The first part describes the technology for extraction of power from photovoltaic sources - transformer 22/0,4kV and its basic parts. Then there is the calculation of the amount of openings for cooling the transformer according to ČSN 33 3240. The second part focuses on the description of the major part of the photovoltaic plant. Here are divided solar panels on the material from which they are produced and the type of installation in the field. Next is describe the types of inverters, their principles and functions. The last part compares the different types of transformers and operating costs over the lifetime of plants (20 years), are described factors for proper selection of inverters and solar panels.
