Freedom square in Znojmo
Křížek, Josef ; Ludvíková, Iveta (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The Freedom square in Znojmo was the task to solve. It was solved as a urbanistic - architectural study of the public space in a very bad state. An analysis of the state was a part of this work and as apart of the pre-diploma study. The area is set on the northen part of the historic center of the own of Znojmo. The main problem is the transport, for people unfreandly and illegible public space, calle the Freedom sguare, the contact of the different urbanistic structures, used just for parking the cars and growing the grass. The sollution slows down the transport, connects the green parts of the town. The space is designed to be friendlier and more pleasant and safe for people. The houses are designed as multifunctional with shops and living. the place must be atractive for walkers and bikers. The bikecenter, market place and the first rate of the design of this area will be atractive for people. The place is good forrelaxing and safe moving as well.

Compact Town - or what new is able to yet be done in Brno among railway stations
Březovská, Markéta ; Gebrian, Adam (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
Rather than a new masterplan I developed a strategy how to deal with a complicated area between the two Brno train stations. The land on the south of the city center has not been used for almost 100 years. There is a plan today, caused by removal of the main station to the south and introduction of the new city-train, to build up the area. The strategy I propose is based on the critical analysis of the current state of the area, of the plans that the city of Brno has, on the principles of the “compact city”, on my research on the potential users of the site and a study of life of 7 (imaginary) different potential user groups in the future, within the specific time horizon.

Kasan, Michal ; Lichnovský, Petr (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
I deal with the development of village Kunčice under Ondřejník in my master´s thesis. The task is a finding of an optimal position of the center in the inhomogenous building structure. After many considerations I choose the villagecenter in the place of today´s office and the supermarket. The new center will be consist of the three parts. First is a part of the commerce, services, post office, and the doctor. In this part will be rebuilded old officebuilding and supermarket and will be builded new supermarketstore and new building of stores, and new apartment building for strart young people. And a turistic accommodation. In the second part will be rebuilded schoolbuilding and the kindergarden. The old playground will be recultivated and also livingdistrict for seniors will be builded, for zouny merrids and families. I proposed a new function´s use of landscape of Kunčice under Ondřejník together with villagecenter.
Residential Complex in Brno - Komín
Tymoshenko, Anna ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The main idea of the project was to create a comfortable residential complex, in which there is no exact border between the nature and the city. Whole concept is based on creating a "green city", where people will feel comfortable not only to live, but to relax and spend their free time, with no urge to escape from modern concrete jungles. 5 houses, that are situated on a land, have east-west orientation, all apartments have either east, west or south orientation. The are designed to suit people from different age and social groups: small and big families and seniors. In every house there is a big social room on the 5th floor, together with a big terrace- for making different activities without having to leave a building. Important part of a concept are green roofs, space on which can be used either for placing solar panels or plants.
Residential Complex in Brno - Komín
Krajan, Viktor ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
Architecture, emanating from philosophy of design, shows the concept of arrangement of eight volumes with a free pattern which generates the maximum amount of open and light space. Structure of the plot is composed of seven apartment buildings and solitary villa. Design of residential complex consists of clear line of public and semi-public space, which complements urbanism of this design. Mass of objects respects the surrounding scale and thereby does not interfere with the surrounding nature and buildings. Functional filling includes a residential function with using of the surrounding area. The layout of the building is designed as a three tracts with four above-ground floors and one underground floor. In the first three above-ground floors are designed two housing units and in a fourth above-ground floor is one housing unit. Residential Complex in Brno - Komín
Pospíšilová, Zuzana ; Kubínová, Šárka (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
This design is based on the site's strong potential in regards to its attractive location near Brno city centre and at the same time its proximity to nature. The solution of volumes results from an effort to create a system of public through private spaces while maintaining the continuity of the whole. This residential complex can offer apartments of all sizes, from flatlets to five bedroom flats and even houses. It also provides its neighborhood with new possibilities to shop and to spend time outdoors.
