Vaněk, Ondřej ; Mikan, Pavel (advisor) ; Scholleová, Hana (referee)
Abstract: The aim of the work is to evaluate six different projects of the expansion of the company Tesco through opening new stores and choosing the best option on the general level. Shops differ from each other by their size (express, supermarket, hypermarket) and by the way of obtaining the required area (lease, building an own store). The whole thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part describes the development of the Czech retail market with food since 1996, when Tesco entered the Czech market. Methodology part describes different methods of evaluating investments. Practical part compare above mentioned projects with each other by using the methods described in the methodological part. The thesis found as the most suitable way of expansion the express format store, realized more likely by the option of lease than building a new store. However author mentioned that decision, if it is better to open the store in the leased place or built an own store significantly depends on specific terms of the project and it is not possible clearly decide on the general level. The thesis was written on the base of data provided for the purposes of this work by Tesco Stores ČR plc.

SCHACHERLOVÁ, Šárka
The aim of this Bachelor{\crq}s thesis is to analyse store and storing system of company Transforwarding, a.s. As main subject for analysis I chose store České Budějovice, because it was the first store of this company. Next, I analysed store Praha-Horní Počernice, because it is new and the most modern store of whole net. I compared both stores with each other. There are discussed parameters of stores like location, function, construction, flow of goods and size. The communication in and out of company proceeds mostly in frame of EDI system, which makes work fast and easy. The advantage for customers is that they can watch their goods on web sides in on-line store and they can give commands, e.g. store out the goods command. In my thesis I mention also information about store{\crq}s staff, complaints and insurence and other services (completation of goods, transport of goods, colective service, INTRASTAT).

And all this with the goal to maximally satisfy customer needs for reasonable costs within the whole chain. Supply chain management is one of the strategies of the modern management that deals with the optimization of all activities and systems in order to secure the whole corporate chain. The company Masna Příbram uses an integrated information system that provides each segment of the supply chain with information on a daily basis. As the chain is managed by one owner, it is possible to plan and realize the production in accordance with the real demand of the segments along the chain flow. The result is that no goods are stored and if they are then only in minimum quantity.
