Analysis of ash from fireplace
Drápela, Jakub ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
This bachelor thesis should familiarize readers with the size of analysis of ashes of fireplace inset. The work is posssible to divide into two parts, when the first one is devoted to a description of fireplace insets, fuels and subsequent processes during burning in fireplace insets and to individual methods used for size analysis of particles. The other part is focused on practical measurements of individual samples of ashes and subsequent evaluation.
The Delivery of the Mixture Containing Abrasive Particles.
Hrabina, Martin ; Sluše, Jan (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is focused on description of the transport equipment parts used in some industries for delivering of the mixture containing abrasive particles. The thesis is divided into some captures. Each of them deals with the transport issues. The first part of the thesis is focused on the flow of liquid in transport equipment. Second part describes particular parts of pumps and compares various kinds of them, highlighting their advantages. One of the significant topics of the thesis is the characterisation of pipeline using for the above mentioned transport.
Particle size of solid ash
Lochman, Petr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with possible ways of analyzing the size of solid particles of ash and their effect on the environment. The first half is devoted to combustion, ash formation and fuels, which are commonly used for energy production. The second half is devoted to a practical analysis of solid particles of different ash samples and their subsequent evaluation.
Advanced laser diagnostic systems to measure flow field
Loutocký, Petr ; Lízal, František (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to give readers a comprehensive view of the present laser methods for measuring the velocity of fluid flow. The methods are classified and compared according to various criteria. Individual techniques are briefly outlined their principles of measurement, options and range of applications. Furthermore, this work discusses the advantages and disadvantages, appropriate areas of application and the basic parameters. At the end we can find a sample analysis of data measured by one method.
Device and methods for testing clean rooms
Bojanovský, Tomáš ; Kolbábek, Antonín (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In the introduction of the thesis there is described main information about clean rooms that influences the way of measurement and evaluation of these rooms. Then there is a summary of instruments that are used with testing and controlling mentioned rooms. It is primarily a case of device for measurement of concentration of particles in the air that are produced by several firms nowadays. Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions is mentioned as the main producer of these devices. Its three basic types are described in the work. In the next chapter there is the list of other firms occupying this technology and their products. Finally, particular instruments are compared with the regard of different requirements that are placed on them.
Production technology of Magnetorheological fluids
Nováček, Vladislav ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Roupec, Jakub (advisor)
The thesis deals with the overview over the current knowledge at the field of magnetorheological (MR) fluids. It includes definition of basic characteristics of MR fluids and technological aspects in production of the most important particles and carrier fluids. The aim of the thesis is to describe technological methods used in MR fluids production that can be used for different purposes at BTU. Finally, the thesis tries to estimate possible ways in MR fluids development in the future.
Improvements of saltation model
Kharlamova, Irina ; Vlasák, Pavel
The present paper introduces a new model of a bed-load transport. The model simulates a particle motion in the channel with turbulent flow and rough bed. The effects of mutual interaction of conveyed particles with carrier liquid, with bed particles, and also with other conveyed particles are taken into account. The model predicts average saltation characteristics, e.g. saltation length and height, particles distribution in vertical direction, and mass rate of conveyed particles per unit area of channel bed.
Coarse-grained particles conveying along a pipe bed
Vlasák, Pavel ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Kysela, Bohuš
The paper describes the results of a flow visualisation of model coarse-grained fully stratified particle-water mixtures. Investigation was focussed on study of the particle behaviour and carrier liquid and conveyed particles local velocities. Glass balls and washed graded pebble gravel of mean diameter of 6 mm were conveyed by water in a horizontal smooth pipe loop with a transparent pipe viewing section of inner diameter 40 mm. Particle movement along the pipe invert and particulate stationary bed, created by two layers of spherical particles of the same size as the conveyed particles, was studied. The effect of stationary bed on local velocity values of the carrier liquid and conveyed particles were determined. It was conducted that the maximum liquid velocity is significantly shifted from pipe centre to a higher position in the flow pattern with stationary bed.
