Creation of Interactive Tools Suitable for Teaching Music Education

This diploma thesis is focused on the creation of interactive learning materials in music education lessons. It is divided into four chapters. Initially, it deals with selected music components that we can use in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard. The second chapter focuses on interactive whiteboards, their types and ways of working with them. Here is a description of selected interactive learning materials programs. The last chapter describes the creation of teaching materials in these programs.
Selected aspects of the development of singing and rythm in music education through singing folk songs in first and second class of primary school.

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of singing and rhythm in music sessions for children 2. classes of Basic schools using folk songs. The first section contains the theoretical description of the various components of voice and rhythm, and offers a selection of exercises, which can be achieved through the correct development and improvement of the quality of the individual disciplines. Thesis continues with the verification of the individual exercises in the practice and a description of the results which was thanks to these workout achieved.
Romani Folk Song and Possibilities of its Application in Music Lessons

5 ABSTRACT Romani folk song is not generally known among Czech population, which is a reason why this thesis in its theoretical part tries to familiarize with its origin, describe historical development of Romani music and divide songs according to functions and close geographical areas of its occurrence, so that a comprehensive picture can be created for the readers. The following part brings analysis of five Romani dance songs, which are described musically, textually and semantically. This section is based on various songbooks and audio recordings to create as authentic a version of a song as possible. The songs are enriched of sheet music together with lyrics and harmonisation for better possibilities of their application. The thesis continues with a suggestion of eventual means of application of Romani folk songs in vocal, musical and physical education. Moreover, there are described analysed songs with Romani scatting suggestions, typical features of expression, dance steps and rhythmical moves, which are typically observed in Romani culture. The dance steps are added in a form of textual description as well as short video recordings to become easily comprehensible. Thesis work is focused on possibilities of the practical use of the elements of Orff Schulwerk in the Czech general education and is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is given to the person Carl Orff, Schulwerku in general, the Czech Schulwerku, music education and Czech Orff of the company. Readers are briefly presented biographical data personality Carl Orff, his teaching and the composer's activity. Furthermore, it is acquainted with the history of the Schulwerku, its principles, basic elements and metodology. Can be in the thesis work a glimpse of the mission of the music education depending on the Orff Schulwerk. At the end of the theoretical part is a mention of the seminars of the Czech Orff of the company. In the practical part the reader is acquainted with the methodology, conduct, results and a summary of the research the use of Orff´s set of instrumentars in primary schools in Czech Budejovice and the surrounding area. Here are the insights and individual suggestions for the use of musical instruments in music education. The last section is devoted to examples of educational games using Orff´s instrumentars.

TITLE: Music of Nepal and possibilities of its use in Music Curriculum in Primary Schools (1st-5th grade) AUTHOR: Tereza Hladíková DEPARTMENT: Department of Music Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Magdalena Saláková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The principal aim of this thesis is to explore the application of Nepalese folk music in elementary education (1st-5th grade), and provide elementary school teachers with a design curriculum to integrate this topic in various forms and teaching school programs. In doing so, the thesis also examines the enrichment of student's cultural and musical perspectives that shape their development. In particular, the study provides a comprehensive methodological themes that focus on the traditional Nepalese folk music, including a set of hypotheses,and their evaluation in experimental lessons. The key findings of the thesis show the utility of the lydian melody, syncopation in rhythm, and cultural enrichment of students in music curriculum of elementary schools.
Alena Tichá and her contribution to the voice education of the primary school children with lower music aptitude

The aim of the diploma thesis is to research the contribution of a prominent music educationalist PaedDr. Alena Tichá, PhD., who specialized in primary school children with lower music aptitude in her music education metodology. The thesis is focused to gathering basic information about biographical, bibliographical, theoretical and psychological-pedagogical characters which will not only lead to clarification of Alena Ticha's contribution and her methodology of vocal education and working with non-singers, but also to formation of a theoretical scope of our own research into this branch. The theoretical scope is focused on Czech musical and pedagogical fellowship and its awarness of Alena Tichá's singing methodology as well as on possible practical experience of respondents with this methodology when working with non-singers. Contribution of Ladislav Daniel for school music education

The thesis deals with personality and contribution of professor L. Daniel for school music education. In the introduction is analyzed Daniel's life and activities, which as a professional in his discipline devoted after all his life. The research part of this thesis provides information on the investigation. The thesis contains findings that were obtained on the basis of qualitative research. The aim of this research was to determine the musical public awareness about Daniel's work and the application of his methods in practice. For qualitative research were elected beginning teachers and teachers from practice in the field of music or graduates of teacher training for primary schools with extended specializing in music education. The results of this research can be an inspiration for further reflection on the application of Daniel's work in practice. Musical culture in Cyprus with a focus on the piano works and piano pedagogy

The diploma thesis deals with the Cypriot music culture and mainly focuses on piano education and piano works. The aim of this work was to introduce the main representatives of Cypriot classical music, the music life on Cyprus and the history of piano education until the present day. A part of the work is also a personal research, carried out by a questionnaire, and a didactic and interpretive insight on the fundamental instructive work Kinderlaunen of the Cypriot pianist and composer Nicolas Economou. The work is divided into six chapters, which draw information from accessible literature and mainly from a research made in this field. The six chapters could be notionally divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the music history of the island by introducing distinctive personalities of the Cypriot classical music and by mapping the music life on Cyprus. Furthermore, this part deals with the Cypriot music education system and the teaching methods in piano education. The practical part contains the analysis and results of the submitted questionnaire and the didactic and interpretive insight on the instructive piano work of the earlier mentioned Cypriot pianist and composer. Influence of visual images on forming listening skills of elementary school music students

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of visualisaion during listening to the music in the music lessons at the elementary school. The thesis contains suggestions for both: visualisation-based listening work and listening work without visualisation. Theoretical part contains theoretical background of the topic. It covers the development of the listening activities, describes their contemporary conception and deals with their psychological aspects. Practical part of this study comprises the research surveys with didactic materials. Part of the work is a CD with listening tests, presentations and videostreams, which are adapted for presentation during classes.
