Increasing Efficiency of Intake Port for SI Engine
Herka, Miroslav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The thesis describes design solutions the inlet port of the modern combustion engine. The thesis describes basic properties of the inlet port and the types of flow. It is focused the experimental measure of the real inlet port engine Husaberg. The results of the experimental measure are compared with results of the simulation in software CFD. Moreover, it describes creation of 3D parametric model in software Pro/Engineer based on the real geometry exquired from software ATOS. At the end of the work are compared with results of the simulation origin geometry inlet port with origin inlet valve with different changes shapes of valve.

Measurement of spray characteristics using optical measurement methods
Ďurdina, Lukáš ; Otáhal, Jan (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
Diplomová práce se zabývá měřením charakteristik sprejů dvou tlakových vířivých trysek pro spalovací komoru malého turbínového motoru na zkušebním stavu za studena pomocí metod Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) a fázové Dopplerovské anemometrie (PDA). Cílem měření bylo stanovit a porovnat charakteristiky sprejů obou trysek. Výsledky měření mají objasnit rozdílnost chování trysek za provozu a možný dopad na proces spalování. Úvodní teoretická část pojednává o základních fyzikálních principech atomizace kapalin, konstrukci a oblasti uplatnění tlakových vířivých trysek a o principech laserových diagnostických metod použitých při experimentálním měření. Nasledující část popisuje návrh a montáž zkušební trati a dalších zařízení navržených pro experimentální měření v této práci. Experimentální část se zabývá nastavením parametrů měřícího systému a zpracováním dat. Výsledky měření zahrnují vektorová rychlostní pole, axiální rychlostní profily a distribuce velikosti kapek pro různé provozní podmínky obou trysek.

Experimental study of light scattering from solar cells surfaces
Nádaský, Pavel ; Malina, Radomír (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with experimental measurement of angular distribution of electromagnetic radiation scattered from solar cells surfaces. The measuring apparatus is the second genaration of a scattermeter. This apparatus has been put into operation within the framework of this thesis. Results of the thesis are materials for numerical simulations aforementioned scattering and quantitative evaluation of scattering of electromagnetic waves from given surfaces.

The study of transition between fully flooded and starved regimes in EHL Contact
Popelka, Michal ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with The study of transition between fully flooded and starved regimes in EHL Contact. The work is focused on problems of starved contact and surface texturing of rubbing surfaces. Surface texturing of rubbing surfaces is one of the adjustments that cause in a sense improved lubricity and reduce friction and wear. The aim of this study is to compare numerical models with real experimental results measured on the Experimental apparatus.

Neurorehabilitation after brain injury. Therapeutic possibilities.
Angerová, Yvona ; Lippertová-Grünerová, Marcela (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kozler, Petr (referee)
Neurorehabilitation is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation process used in patients with neurological diseases. These patients have not only movement disorders but also cognitive and neurobehavioral problems as well as aphasias. Their rehabilitation is a long term process and the results are often unsatisfactory. Neuroplasticity - physiological basis for neurorehabilitation induces functional restitution or recovery after secondary brain damage. Various neuroprotective substances (e.g. erythropoietin - EPO) are tested to empower mechanisms of plasticity after brain injury. Preclinical studies testing efficacy of those substances in animal brain damage models are essential to prepare clinical trials. The aim of the study was to reveal the influence of EPO combined with rehabilitation on functional outcomes after global cerebral hypoxia. FIM (Functional independence measure) test was used for functional evaluation and Meilli test for visual memory of the patients who attended special program for rehabilitation in clinical part. Patients who came earlier had better prognosis than patients who came later. In experimental part three-months old male Wistar albino rats were exposed to hypobaric hypoxia for 60 minutes in an experimental chamber, simulating an altitude of 8000 m. Half of the animals received...

Interakce glycodendrimérů s nádorovým mikroprostředím
Pospíšil, Miloslav ; Vannucci, Luca ; Luptovcová, Martina ; Svoboda, Jan ; Huliková, Katarína ; Kuldová, Miloslava ; Bezouška, Karel ; Krist, Pavel ; Pešta, M. ; Fišerová, Anna
Potentiation of immunological parameters by multivalent glycodendrimers (PAMAM-GlcNAc8) against experimental mouse melanoma and rat colon or glioma cancer. PAMAM –GlcNAc8 induce biological effects at different levels of cancer microenvironmental components and concern both, effector and cancer cells

Experimental verification of powdered plastics coating with painting shop layout
Dokoupilová, Dita ; Dvořák, Miloslav (referee) ; Rumíšek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with an experimental verification of powdered plastics coating on a component with a painting shop layout. Part of this thesis is looking for the best kind of a paint which meets the wishes from the company such as specific dielectric strength or cladding thickness. The selective variation is drown up into the technological project. At the end of the thesis there is a technical-economical evaluation of the project, focusing mainly on the efficiency of the investment in new mechanical equipment and on the economic return.

Non-verbal creativity development in field of technical projection basics
Veselý, Bedřich ; Křenek, Milan (advisor) ; Nikl, Jiří (referee) ; Švejda, Gabriel (referee)
The thesis addresses the problems of developing pupils' non-verbal creativity in technical projection basics curriculum segments. The introductory theoretical part defines the idea of creativity and factors influencing its development. The second part is empirically explorative and deals with the state of general, unspecific and technical creativity of basic school pupils and especially high school students with the possibility of non-verbal creativity build-up. Under the terms of the thesis, an educational system for non-verbal creativity development was devised, which particularly focuses on the field of depth perception. The effectiveness of projected system was tested by an experimental research. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Realization of educational problem based on preloaded bolted joint apparatus
Žaba, Tomáš ; Náhlík, Luboš (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
In the master’s thesis an educational task concerning an experimental apparatus for quantity measurement in preloaded bolted joint is realised. In terms of its preparation an innovation of the apparatus leading to an easier and faster pretension realisation was implemented. The educational task for students and also teaching material were produced. The educational task itself consists in experimental confirmation of the relation between the tightening torque and the caused pretension. An FEM model simulating an apparatus flange deformation by given pretension was designed to verify the experiment. The thesis also contains information about the preloaded bolts, pretension elicitation methods and pretension control methods.
