Robot for P2P Network Scanning
Holub, Michal ; Schäfer, Jiří (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis describes the types of P2P networks, their most common mutations and protocols, and design and implementation of the system for browsing P2P networks. The purpose of the system for browsing P2P network is to search for files with unrecognized malicious code. This system is capable to search files on P2P network based on given set of keywords, download them to local disk and to determine whether they are executable or not.
Cryptovirology
Kubík, Pavel ; Schäfer, Jiří (referee) ; Pecho, Peter (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a relatively new branch of computer security called Cryptovirology. It uses cryptography and its principles in conjunction with designing and writing malicious codes (e.g. computer viruses, trojan horses, worms). Techniques such as viral propagation through computer networks, capabilities of current viruses and similar threats are described. Beside cryptography and computer viruses, design of the cryptovirus and methods of a cryptoviral extortion attack along with their related potential are also analyzed below in this paper. As a proof of the concept in the given area of cryptovirology, a demonstrational computer program was written. The program was implemented with the respect to the satisfaction of the essentials set to the cryptovirus.
Interface for Core of Antivir Software
Valouch, Tomáš ; Granát, Jiří (referee) ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis is dealing with problematics of antivirus program development. It describe evolution of viruses, antiviruses and it is trying to estimate the future development in this area of interest. There is described a design of graphic user interface for antivirus program. Finally are dicussed possible approaches for implementing the graphics user interface for forementioned antivirus program. Important part of this thesis is part which is dealing with description of implementation of mentioned user interface.
Antivirus protection of a computer from a boot repository
Mlejnek, Jiří ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
ABSTRACT Theme of the thesis is the design method of anti-virus protection with the use of an alternative boot store. Processed is a related issue of viruses and the possibility of defenses against them. This thesis is focused on the design and selection of components solutions enabling the execution of antivirus test from the undistorted by the operating system. With selected components continues to realize an alternative booting the operating system from a Windows platform computer network with automatic virus checking of all local disks. The results of inspection are transmitted using signed files on a network server and typically give an overview of the results of the individual tests.
Modern computer viruses
Malina, Lukáš ; Malý, Jan (referee) ; Pust, Radim (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis “Modern computer’s viruses” is composed from two mainly object (analysis computer’s viruses and suggestion of security middle computer network), separated for three parts: Analysis computer’s viruses, Personal suggestion of security personal computer end-user (computer terminal) and Personal suggestion of security middle computer network. Methods of transmission and infection, specific properties of viruses and impact upon personal computers are examined in the first part. Resolution of personal suggestion of security personal computer with help of antivirus software, personal firewall and antispam software is inducted in the second part. Futher, results of testing some free AV software and other security software are summarized with possible progress of configuration and recommendation for correct running this software. Complex suggestion of security middle computer network is adduced in the third part, where is inducted structure of security network. Configuration progression and recommendation for maximum security is indicated on particular used components. Structure is adapted for active network Cisco components, which are most used around these days. Completely suggestion of security network is directed on hardware firewall Cisco PIX, where is unfolded potential possibility of options. Futher, the third part contain some important tips and recommendation for completely working network, including setting security preference, security passwords and data encryption. Also, there is described various techniques monitoring and supervision working security network using complex monitoring software MARS (Cisco security monitoring, analyzing and response system) from Cisco company.
Malware, internet threat - types and protection
Vaňková, Aneta ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals the world malware and what this word means. The theoretical part describes the particular division of malware, its history and development from the 70s to the present. Other chapters include targets of hackers, why malware exists and what is the motivation of its authors. Conclusion of the theoretical part describes other threats which are on the Internet. The practical part includes two explorations. The first is dedicated to antivirus, it represents the most frequently used programs, their functionality and user interface. Test of infected file demonstrates the functionality and level of security. Final summary assists users in selecting the appropriate antivirus for their computer. The second is realized as a questionnaire which determines the awareness of the general public about the danger of malware and defence against it. The conclusion evaluate results of explorations of the practical part, it compares targets of this bachelor thesis and monitors their achievement or provides information about extension of explorations.
Analysis of health problems in the breed parrots of the genus Amazona
JEŘÁBEK, Zdeněk
In addition to several critically endangered species, parrots of the genus Amazon are now commonly kept in the breeding zoos (zoological gardens) and as breeding pets. In observance of certain rules it is possible these parrots from tropical areas of the New World breed well in our environment and climate. Even with what the most suitable conditions for breeding in captivity, these parrots can be affected by various health problems and diseases. This study aimed to gather the latest knowledge veterinary issues affecting the parrots of the genus Amazon and they are divided into sections according to the type of disease and occurring health problems. Index of bird diseases: Infectious diseases. Injuries and accidents. Environmental effects. Development and growth abnormalities. Cancer diseases. Other diseases. The list of these diseases concludes summary of the most common diseases. At the end of this work are listed diseases to which they have parrots the genus Amazon predisposing conditions.
Assessment of Vaccination Coverage Against Influenza among Students of the University of South Bohemia in the České Budějovice
RUDKOVÁ, Eva
This thesis deals with the evaluation of vaccination against influenza among students of University of South Bohemia, their opinions and their approach to the issue of vaccination against influenza. The theoretical part is focused on historical, clinical, diagnostic, virological, immunological and epidemiological aspects of influenza vaccine development and vaccination against influenza. The aim of the practical part was to determine how widespread is influenza vaccination among students of University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice, map their opinion on the vaccination and to assess their awareness regarding vaccination against influenza and influenza in general. For research purposes a questionnaire survey was distributed among students of the University of South Bohemia. The selection of respondents was conducted by stratified random selection so that it covered approximately 5% occupancy of each faculty. This research preceded a preliminary research to determine the suitability of the chosen method of data collection. As a data collection instrument was chosen the method of questioning by the form of questionnaires. Quota for the research was to study the respondents at the South Bohemian University and studied faculty. In total 468 questionnaires were evaluated. The results of the research shows that students of University of South Bohemia underestimate vaccination, and most of them have never been vaccinated against this disease. In spite of this is, the results show that the awareness of students is good and among faculties except the Faculty of Health and Social Care, there is not a significant difference. Faculty of Health and Social achieved in the overall awareness significantly higher result than other faculty. Thus confirming the hypothesis that there are differences between students' awareness of the Health and Social faculty and students of other faculties. The aim of this thesis is to alert students of the University of South Bohemia about the pros of influenza vaccination and increase their awareness in this area.
