Objectification of disorders fine motor skills of the upper extremities in patients with hereditary neuropathies
Nývltová, Marcela ; Kraus, Josef (referee) ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor)
In the first part of the thesis Objectification of disorders of the fine motor skills of the upper extremities in the patients with hereditary neuropathies there are mentioned some brief informations about characteristics, classifications, clinical symptoms, deformities and testing of upper extremities, rehabilitation and treatment of CMT neuropathy. The practical part of this thesis is concerned with testing and evaluating of strength, fine motor skills and sensation of the upper extremities in the patients with CMT. For the measurement of the hand strenght the dynamometry and the functional muscle test are used. The Jebsen-Taylor test, the Nine-Hole Peg Test and the examination of static and dynamic handgrip rating are used. For the examination of the sensation the Nottingham Sensory Assessment is used. CMT neuropathy score and Overall Neuropathy Disability Scaleare are used for the classification of disability. The aim of this thesis is the comparison of the muscle strength and the function of the dominant and non-dominant hand. Partial aim of thesis is detection of the correlations between tests. According to the results CMT disease leads to the muscle strenght weakness and to worsening of the fine motor skills mainly of the dominant upper extremity. This may be the result of overwork weakness. For...

The issues of anorexia nervosa in childhood
ROUBÍKOVÁ, Alice
Anorexia Nervosa is being described as an extreme starving. According to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, it is a disease caused by an intentional weight loss, when the patient avoids most of the meals and uses other ways to lose his weight, for example induced vomiting, using laxatives, diuretics, excessive physical activity. Anorexia Nervosa means not only a physical illness, mostly a psychological disease. Anorexia Nervosa starts usually in the childhood, when children are at the age of 14-18, but can appear later as well. It is usual when there come some complicated situations and events and the child can?t deal with them. Sources say that the Anti-Anorexia programs are connected with the nursery and the elementary schools, but unfortunately the reality is quite different. All the same, many of the therapies prepared for the treatment of this disease, are not even being used. And I know this due to my own experiences. In this work I have been trying to chart the foreign and the Czech literature, magazines and newspaper, brochures and other internet-sources professional as well as the general, for their authenticity, and of course, most of them were the book sources. I wrote this thesis named ?The Issue of Anorexia Nervosa in Childhood? using a theoretical form of writing, and it shall introduce you to this illness from its beginning, through its symptoms, prevention, treatment to the nursing care, which is very important as well as it is very difficult. It shall also familiarize you with the opinions and the thoughts of the patients themselves. This work is concerned with the issues of Anorexia Nervosa in children. Anorexia Nervosa, as an eating disorder, is still in spite of the mortality numbers an overlooked problem moving the human society all over the world. And yet, it is right the society of the last years contributing on the rise of the numbers of disordered children, who are younger and younger. They find out, with the speed of the world?s progress, that almost everything they want they can have in a little while, and so the girls longing for the extremely thin body happen to become the ?victims? of this disorder without sensing the danger of their drastic methods to reach their ?goal? as quick as possible leading more and more often to the worse ? death. But it is only if their surroundings don?t strike immediately and the children don?t get the medical care and monitoring, or they themselves don?t ty to find the help, which still happens to be the most rare. The causes of this desease are certainly not common for everyone. It depends on the surroundings of the patients, genetic predispositions ? as for the obesity ? and their mental condition. There are many studies discussing the prevention of Anorexia Nervosa, but it is not so certain which influence of today?s society has the greatest part on causing this disease. I suppose this is one of the signs of the deceitfulness of this disease. The main attention is directed to the medical care for the girls affected by the Anorexia Nervosa itself. After the hospitalization there must be the summary of the objectives of the care set, for example reaching and accepting the healthy body weight, changing the patients? self-evaluation, changing their attitude to food and catering, reorganizing their problematic attitude and behaviour in the following life and taking of a responsible approach for solving their own problems. Then the pharmacotherapy is very important for the patients to get either, antidepressants or neuroleptics, or rarely anxiolytics. Some certain sources state the absolute inefficacy of the pharmacies during the treatment for Anorexia Nervosa.

The influence of variants in genes associated with carcinogenesis on predisposition to and phenotype of hereditary and sporadic tumour diseases of gastrointestinal tract
Vasovčák, Peter ; Křepelová, Anna (advisor) ; Kohoutová, Milada (referee) ; Plevová, Pavlína (referee)
This PhD. thesis deals with four different topics for which an increased risk of the development of colorectal cancer (CRC) is the common denominator. The first part is aimed to Cowden syndrome (CS), the second to Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS), the third to sporadic CRCs in Czech population and the fourth is dedicated to a patient with a constitutional mismatch repair deficiency syndrome (CMMR-D) and a particular mutational profile. Cowden syndrome (CS) is an autosomal dominant disorder with a predisposition to tumours, especially breast, thyroid and uterine tumours. Pathognomonic features are mucocutaneous lesions with almost a 100% penetrance until 30 years of age (1). Despite the established diagnostic criteria (2), classification of the CS is a challenge due to extremely variable phenotypic spectra and a variable expression of the disease. Molecular-genetic analysis of the causal PTEN gene may confirm or exclude the suspicion of the CS (3). We have analysed and described two patients (Publication 1 and 2) who presented with variable expression of the disease. First one manifested with massive polyposis of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and the other patient developed the malignant disease. Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterised by the presence of mucocutaneous...

Sinokorean lexicon in modern Korean
Mazaná, Vladislava ; Horák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Glomb, Vladimír (referee)
1 TITLE: Sino-Korean Lexicon in Modern Korean AUTHOR: Vladislava Mazana DEPARTMENT: Institute of East Asian Studies SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Tomáš Horák, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This diploma paper is focused on morphological aspects of the Sino-Korean lexicon in modern Korean, the main topics are Sino-Korean word-formation and Sino-Korean classification of parts of speech. Hereby considered are the typological differences between Korean, an agglutinative language and Chinese, an isolative-polysyntetic language. The problem with Sino-Korean words is their ambiguity and vagueness, they appear in various grammatical and syntactical functions with their form unchanged. One morpheme can simultaneously function as an affix and root. This paper analyzes forms of function units, it deals with ways of word-formation (composition and derivation). The ways of prefixation and suffixation are researched. Based on the results of this analysis an adequate classification of Sino-Korean parts of speech is aimed to be established. Both the original Korean and the Chinese systems of parts of speech are taken into account but neither of them corresponds with the characterics and functions of the Sino-Korean words. Considering the multifunctional character of Sino-Korean morphemes it is extremely difficult to classify the words into parts of...

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of extreme discharges at selected hydrometric stations on the Jihlava river between 1997 and 2015. The first part presents the results of the research, characteizing the factors influencing the origin and the course of floods and droughts, providing the description and classification of floods, and consequently giving a general description of the area. Furthermore, the present thesis scrutinizes the flow data acquired from the Morava River state enterprise, calculating individual characteristics. The result of the work is graphs of the flood situation and minimum flow situations, as well as tables providing the calculated characteristics.

Problems of immature newborns
Konečná, Blanka ; Haškovcová, Helena (advisor) ; Korvasová, Alexandra (referee)
The presented final thesis is intended to the problematic of extremely immature newborns. The thesis is formally split to two main parts. The first part is focused on theoretical description of immature newborns while the second part is dedicated to the practical research and investigation. There is described the history of the development in the neonatology domain, newborns classification and contemporary possibility of immature newborns treatment in the theoretical part. There is concern with the problems which can be introduced by the rescuing of immature newborns and also impacts of such rescuing to the rescued, assisted nurse and possibly human society. The practical part has is intended to the research and investigation. The investigation is accomplished on the department of intensive and resuscitation care and two departments of physiological newborns on Gynecological-maternal hospital which is part of General facultative hospital of Prague. The research and investigation has been focused towards nurse's attitude to the viability edge of immature newborns. There are seen the basic problems in the unknowingness of the viability limit from the nurses' point of view. Despite this fact, the consensus has bee found so that the border of newborns viability didn't keep decreasing anymore. The next part of...

Populist and Extreme Right in Contemporary Austria
Černoch, Jakub ; Jeřábek, Martin (advisor) ; Charvát, Jan (referee)
The thesis "Populist and Extreme Right in Contemporary Austria" deals with the two political parties in Austria - FPÖ (Freihetliche Partei Österreichs) and BZÖ (Bündnis Zukunft Österreich) during the time period from 2005 to 2011. The thesis aims to globally introduce contemporary far-right parties with regard to economic, historical, political and ideological causes of their support. The objective of the thesis is also analysis of far-right parties in reference to all-Austrian and regional dimension. This lower dimension is introduced by nine Austrian states (Bundesländer). The thesis also examines influence of electoral and party system on FPÖ and BZÖ. Regarding electoral system and its results (examples include National Council elections in 2006 and 2008 and Landtag elections in years 2008-2010) the thesis analyzes, whether the electoral parameters can affect support and representation of far- right parties. Another objective is classification of these parties and their relation to far-right terms - extremism, populism, neo-Fascism and neo-Nazism. On the basis of examined pieces of knowledge the thesis attempts to sketch the presumptive trends of far-right parties in the following years.

Druhý (měnový) pilíř měnové politiky ECB, jeho charakteristika a relevance pro měnovou politiku ECB
Duvačová, Katarína ; Kollár, Miroslav (advisor) ; Chytilvá, Helena (referee)
Abstract Monetary policy of the ECB was created under the conditions of extreme uncertainty. This was probably one of those reasons, why Otmar Issing ? the mastermind of monetary pillar of ECB´s monetary strategy decided not to go the conventional way. His decision and the key principle of the monetary pillar ? to give the money a prominent role - faced and still face the criticism. Nevertheless, the monetary policy of the ECB works quite successfully more than eight years after the implementation of the two pillars approach. Thanks to the stable price level, the ECB is these days one of the most credible institution in the world. If the credibility of the ECB is also a merit of the monetary pillar, how the monetary pillar was created, how it works, its contribution to the price stability in the Euro zone, and if implementation of this pillar was a right decision ? this all is going to be discussed in this bachelor paper. Key words: monetary policy, price level, central bank, monetary aggregate JEL Classification: E520, E580, E310 Abstrakt Měnová politika Evropské centrální banky byla vytvořena za velmi nejistých podmínek. Měnová politika ECB navzdory kritice splňuje stanovený cíl cenové stability už více než osm let a vzhledem k tomu je nyní jednou z nejdůvěryhodnějších institucí.

Strain stress analysis of proximal femur with dynamic hip plate
Kohoutek, Jan ; Valášek, Jiří (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The presented Master’s Thesis aims at determining stress and strain distribution in proximal femur with applied PCCP and DHS systems. The DHS system has been widely and successfully used for treating intertrochanteric fractures of proximal femur; in some cases, however, complications concerning implant cut-out and excessive fracture collapse occur. To minimize the risk of stabilization failure, the PCCP system was designed. In the Thesis, the process of creating the numerical model is described and the results obtained by employing Finite Element Method are presented. The 3D models of implants’ geometry were created based on the real objects. The model of proximal femur geometry was built by utilizing a series of CT scans and divided into two bodies with respect to the AO classification afterwards. The loading was obtained by solving the static equilibrium equations for the loose lower extremity. The computation was run in Ansys Workbench v13 software. In the hip screws of the PCCP system, lower values of equivalent stress can be found when compared to the DHS system. However, the equivalent strain generated in the proximal fragment is 3-times higher when the PCCP system is employed than in case of DHS system which may be due to the self-cutting design of PCCP screws. By employing PCCP system, the risk of implant failure is decreased. On the other hand, the bone tissue of the proximal fragment in close vicinity of the implant screws seems to be overloaded and prone to collapse.
