Study of luteinizing hormone's and its receptor's polymorphisms in relation to development of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome
Chrudimská, Jana ; Macek, Milan (advisor) ; Schierová, Michaela (referee)
Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is an iatrogenic complication in an assisted reproduction (ART), which can threaten the life of the patient. It is caused by an increased sensitivity of ovarian receptors to exogenous gonadotrophins during controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) that is necessary for induction more than one oocyte. Treatment for this syndrome is symptomatic hence the emphasis is primarily on the prevention. The purpose of current reproduction genetics is to find risk markers, by which it could be possible to assess the sensitiveness of a hormonal receptor for luteinizing hormone (LH-R) and a receptor for follicle stimulating hormone (FSH-R) just before the start of the therapy. Individualization of the COH would decrease the risk of both, the OHSS, and the risk of canceling the COH through a poor ovarian response. Temporary, only FSH-R genotypes are studied in relation to an increased risk of OHSS and its severity. The aim of further studies is an ascertaining the possible impact of LH-R's and the luteinizing hormone's (LH) genotype on the final ovarian response during COH and other types of hormonal treatment. This bachelor's work summarizes the present knowledge of the possible connection of LH's and LH-R's polymorphisms to OHSS in continuum to findings gained about FSH-R.

EFECT OF PSYCHOTHERAPY FROM THE VIEW OF A NURSE
KROCZKOVÁ, Iveta
Abstract Psychotherapeutic thinking dates back to the very beginning of our culture which is documented in old literary records as well as in ancient works of art. This is because psychotherapy stabilizes an emotionally disturbed and instable person. My work describes the effects of psychotherapy on patients after a six-week therapeutic group with regard to the competences of a general nurse. In my work I try to find in what way, if at all, a nurse can influence psychosomatic troubles of patients participating in a therapeutic group. The research set consisted of 10 clients {--} 5 of whom were women at the ages of 42, 35, 46, 55, 40 and 5 were men at the ages of 41, 35, 59, 34, 30. The choice of clients focused on two closed groups. The interviews took place in two stages {--} at the beginning and after the termination of the group. My concern was to monitor whether the clients take part in the group for the first time, what are their expectations, in what way they manage their panic attacks or anxieties and whether a nurse can in any way influence them. The method used for the qualitative research was a semistructured interview for which basic scopes of questions were created. Some information was taken from medical documentation. The results were processed into 10 case reports. The interviews were made with regard to the research questions. Clients entering a psychotherapeutic group expect to find a solution to their problems in a short span of time regardless of their diagnosis - this research question proved at 7 out of 10 clients. The question is to what extent they manage to solve their problems at home. Clients entering a psychotherapeutic group prefer to solve their psychosomatic troubles by pharmacotherapy, at the end of the group therapy, however, they prefer psychological means to deal with their troubles {--} this research question proved at 5 out of 10 client. The anticipated benefit of my work in practical life is to improve the quality of the care of a nurse of clients during their participation in therapeutic groups, her edified approach to psychosomatic troubles of clients and professional skill at relaxation techniques.

ŠPIČKA, Roman
The work deals with the influence of music on mental and physical manifestations of a personality in the practice of the Taekwon-Do. The practical part compares four groups of probands who practiced or relaxed listening to a music or without any music. My research was focused on the emotional level and the heart rate. I defined four hypotheses: H1 - The average heart rate is higher in probands exercising while listening to a stimulating music than in probands exercising without any musical stimulus., H2 - Average values of the excitations in the emotinal level are higher in probands excercising while listenig to a stimulating music than in probands excercising without any musical stimulus. H3 - The average heart rate is lower in probands relaxing while listening to a calming music than in probands relaxing without any music., H4 - Average values of the calming effect of a relaxing music are higher in probands relaxing listening to the music than in probands relaxing without the music. The research was designed as a quantitative and a comparative study. The anamnestic questionnaire and the metod of direct measurement of the heart rate was used for the data collection. The data were presented in tables and graphs. The results of my research - the differences between the four groups - showed and confirmed all of my hypotheses.
