The Performance Evaluation of the Company using the EFQM Excellence Model

The master’s thesis evaluates the performance of SUEZ CZ a.s. company applying the EFQM Excellence Model and subsequently discusses proposals to improve company’s performance. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part outlines the necessary theoretical bases, that are further used and applied to the chosen company SUEZ CZ a.s. in the second part. Lastly, in the third part, the conducted questionnaire survey is evaluated and measures for improvement in problematic areas are proposed.

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to propose suitable suggestions to increase the efficiency of the construction company Geprostav, based on the analysis and comparison with the benchmarking partner. In the summary of the literature the basic theoretical information about the method of benchmarking and about the rating of the efficiency of a company has been stated. Besides the description of the index, on which the financial condition of companies is regarded and compared, the Model excellence EFQM is described there. The Model excellence EFQM is the basis of appreciation of the non-financial factors as well. In the next part, the analysed company and the benchmarking partner are introduced. Pursuant the comparing analysis, the significant deficiencies have been identified and suitable measures are suggested.

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the performance of a selected company using the START Model. The introductory part is dedicaded to clarifying the theoretical basis, basic concepts and the method of measuring performance. The analytical part introduces the evaluated organization, conducts a survey using the selected model and according to the results are interpreted strengths and areas for improvement. In the last section, based on the outputs of the analysis, measures are proposed to increase the company's performance.

This master's thesis is focused on conducting a performance evaluation of a particular company using the EFQM Excellence Model. The theoretical section of this thesis introduces the primary theoretical basis for company performance measurement with a focus on the EFQM Model of Excellence. The analytical section contains an evaluation of the selected company‘s current situation using the Excellence Model's methodology to identify weaknesses. The output from the analysis is then used in the subsequent section of the thesis, where these weaknesses are transformed into suggestions for improving the company's performance so it can proceed further on its path to excellence.

The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the definition of performance and the ways in which it can be measured and evaluated. The current situation of the company is characterized in the analytical part. The evaluation is performed according to the START Model questionnaire, which is derived from the EFQM Model of Excellence. The final part contains measures leading to increase the company's performance.

The master thesis is focused on the performance evalution of company Centropen, a. s. The first part of the thesis contains definitions of performance and individual methods of business performance measurement. The practical part introduces the analyzed company and describes its current situation. Subsequently, the evaluation of the performance of the selected company is done using the START Model questionnaire, which is based on the EFQM Excellence Model. Suggestions and recommendations for improving the current situation are presented in the final part.

The master´s thesis analyzes the performance of company Řetězárna Ltd. by using the Model START, which is based on the EFQM Excellence Model principle. The first part is devoted to the theoretical description of performance measurement. The second part of the master´s thesis deals with the application of these theoretical findings in practice, in the form of an analysis according to the Model START. In the last part of the master´s thesis, according to the results of the analytical part, are proposed new possible improvements to increase the performance of Řetězárna Ltd.

The master thesis deals with performance evaluation of business corporation PBS POWER EQUIPMENT, s.r.o. This performance evaluation is done through START Model, based on the EFQM Model Excellence. The theoretical part is focused on the description of selected methods of performance evaluation of the company with an emphasis on EFQM Model Excellence. In the practical part PBS POWER EQUIPMENT, s.r.o. is introduced, it's economic activity is presented and on the basis of Model START performance evaluation is made. At the end, series of recommendations to improve the performance of the analyzed company is presented.
