Barbora Vaňková Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University Introduction and aims: Organ transplantations (Tx) are associated with the lifelong use of immunosuppressive therapy (IS), which carries with it, among other risks, an increased incidence of malignancies. The most common malignancies after Tx are skin tumors, post-transplant lymphoproliferative diseases (PTLD) are also more common in transplant patients. The aim of the study was to determine the incidence of skin tumors and PTLD in patients with kidney Tx within one transplant center and to analyze the risk factors associated with these diseases. Methods: Retrospective longitudinal study was conduted in the Teaching Hospital Hradec Králové. The study included patients from the age of 18 who had overcome kidney Tx until 24 April 2019, were registered in a transplant clinic in Hradec Králové and had a medical record in the hospital information system. The aim of this study was to determine patients' awareness and level of photoprotection and to analyse selected risk factors for skin cancer development in patients after KT. Methods: The cross-sectional study was undertaken from 15th April to 31st December 2019 at the Haemodialysis Centre in the Teaching Hospital Hradec Králové. Patients included in this study were above 18 years old, who visited Haemodialysis Centre in the defined period. The data was collected from the patients' medical documentation (e.g. occurrence of skin cancer and skin cancer type, current IS) and from the written version of questionnaires (e.g. phototype, sun exposure, photoprotection). Post-operative care of the patient after kidney transplant

(v AJ) Transplantation medicine has undergone considerable development over the last twenty years. Organs Transplantation has become a routine part of treatment and often the only option for patients with severe kidney damage. Due to the development of immunosuppressive drugs and the improvement of surgical techniques, the outcomes of kidney transplants have greatly improved in recent years. The bachelor thesis describes the issue of nursing care for patients after kidney transplantation. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the issue of treatment of renal failure. I also focus on the period before the transplant itself and after the transplant. I can't forget to mention the professional organizations dealing with this issue, so I also provide a short overview of transplantation centres' in the Czech Republic. At the end of this section I present a very important part namely, patient education. Each patient needs to know what regimen in the homecare environment is to be followed so that transplantation is successful. The thesis I worked out on the basis of searching for relevant sources on the topic. Study of effect of immunosuppressive drugs on interaction of mesenchymal stem cells with immune cells

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) represent a heterogenous population of nonhematopoietic stem cells with multipotent differential potential. MSC can be isolated from various tissues of organism, the most common tissue are bone marrow or adipose tissue. MSC are good candidates for treatment of autoimmune diseases and possess the ability to prevent graft rejection or graft versus host disease. The immunosuppressive drugs are currently used for inhibition of unwanted immune reaction but they exhibit serious side effects. The use of MSC in therapy can reduce doses of immunosuppressive drugs and eliminate side effects. The study of MSC and immunosuppressant interactions should be detected before MSC can be used for clinical application. We aimed to analyze the interaction between MSC and immunosuppressive drugs and their effect on immune cells. Cyclosporine A and mycophenolate mofetil were used in our research. We demonstrated changes in the expression of surface molecules, production of interleukin 6 and in metabolic activity of MSC after treatment with immunosuppressive drugs. MSC are in organism, in cooperation with the number of other cells. Therefore we studied MSC cocultured with splenocytes in the presence of immunosuppressive drugs.
