Proposal of cyber attack countermeasures on the connected cars
Golovkova, Nataliya ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Gerlich, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of connective cars and the types of threats that can occur and how to protect against them. The general part described the general model of the car. In the next part of the work, templates were created in the Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool with threats and countermeasures to them.
Formule Student control unit and power supply system
Klement, Dominik ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis describes the development of a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) used in a Formula Student Electric competition. The VCU processes data from sensors located on the vehicle, evaluates this data, and then controls peripherals. The power supply system, integrated in the VCU, regulates the input voltage to the branches that supply other units on the vehicle.
Wireless OBDII-Bluetooth Interface
Bezdíček, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design an OBDII interface, which would have been able to communicate with a PC through Bluetooth interface. Designed wireless interface is able to diagnose all OBDII equipped vehicles, but the vehicles have to communicate by some of the supported protocols. It is possible to communicate with a vehicle using a software application or by simple commands in data terminal as well. Main parts of the device are a proprietary ELM327 microcontroller and an industrial Bluetooth module. The built-up device has been tested and it is able to display right values of vehicle sensors and to operate diagnostic trouble codes as well.
Testing of the Common-rail pressure regulation valve by ADwin device
Single lever control system of piston engine with propeller
Gröger, Roman ; Cäsar, Tomáš (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the description of the work of aircraft piston power plants and single-lever control systems. The first part describes the characteristics of piston engines and their indicators. The second part describes the work of piston engines with variable-pitch propeller. The third and fourth part deals with single-lever control systems of piston power plant, their comparison and possible problems of their control.
Logging data of Formula Student
Novotný, Libor ; Vdoleček, František (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with description of sensors principle which are used in Formula student monopost. There are also descriptions of ECU, expanding units and improvement which can be done in electronics of the vehicle, also implementation of datalogger Omega L2. Reasons why are specific sensors and actuators used is described. The bachelor thesis also contains demonstration of logged data.
Inovation of System for Automated Integrational ECU Tests
Kyloušek, Josef ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the issue of software tools for automated integrational ECU testing. It is specifically focused on TestAut 2 tool, which is developed by e4t company and used for testing of Skoda cars. Goal of this thesis is comparison of TestAut 2 against similar tools used in automotive industry. This work contains analysis of TestAut 2 tooland description of principles and features of EXAM, MODENA and PROVEtech tools. Set of principles considerd as advantageous is chosen from collected information. Next part of this thesis describes implementation of chosen principles to TestAut 2 tool, verification ofit's functionality and evaluation of it's benefits. In the conclusion author suggests another improvements that can be done.
System for Transmitting Diagnostic Data from the Car
Uhliar, Martin ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation at the software and hardware level of the device, which is used for communication and acquisition of diagnostic data from the car control unit. The acquired data can be stored on the device and also sent via LoRa technology and TheThingsNetwork to a database on a remote server. NB-IoT technology is used for data that needs to be obtained in real time. The recorded data is presented in the form of a mobile application, which displays the obtained data to the user and can notify him of a problem with the vehicle. The device communicates with the car via the CAN bus using the OBD2 protocol and is controlled by an ARM microcontroller.
Predicting spark-ignition engine emissions
Jirout, Petr ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibility of predicting emissions of SI engines. The aim was to create an algorithm for predicting unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, based on ECU signals. The algorithm is based on practical experiments with SI engines. In the summary, the issues and the possible use of the created algorithm following the incorporation of EU7 are outlined.
Mobile Signal Generator for ECU Calibration
Pauliuchenka, Aliaksandr ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is a mobile electrical signal generator for the calibration of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The thesis primarily offers an analysis of the electrical signals that enter the control unit. It then describes the process of developing the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) used in the generator, the C++ programs for the microcontrollers used, and the software for controlling and programming the test scenarios. Finally, the thesis concludes by measuring the output signals of the generator with an oscilloscope and testing the connection to an open ECU. Based on these tests, the functionality of the generator was evaluated.
