Test Equipment For Set-Up Animation Light Function
Holinka, David
This work deals with creating equipment for testing animation ligth function. This device would allow display animation in any color and disposition. The equipment will consist of hardware and software. Hardware will constitute printed circuit boards. One of them will be called Master board, and other PCB will be called Led board. These PCB are connected by connectors. Communication will provide CAN bus. Using PC aplication will be programed animation and then play them on the HW.
Electronic speed controller
Šimbera, Michal ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design, realisation and functional verification of an electronic cruise control unit. Required inputs, outputs and controller of the control unit are identified first. The design and layout of the electronical components, including the processor, power supply and other necessary hardware is discussed. The algorithm for the control unit is developed in C/C++ and thoroughly analysed. The functionality of the cruise control unit equipped with the algorithm is verified through a case study performed on a combustion engine.
The robotic system state indicator
Kovaľová, Alžbeta ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and creation of a status indicator for robotic system developed in Y Soft. Part of this work is the design and implementation of communication between the status indicator and the superior device testing system. A printed circuit board is designed and constructed, and then a microcontroller is programmed and the CAN bus communication is implemented. Subsequently, the device is integrated into the company system for robotic testing, where its functionality is verified.
Modular Display System with LED Diodes
Fňukal, Jiří ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of bachelor thesies is to create a modular display system with LED diodes. The work is divided into three main section. The first section deals with the description of the LED systems available on the market, also contains a description of development platforms. The second part of this work focuses on the industrial buses, with an emphasis on the CAN bus. In the last section is described the design and construction of the LED system. After reading this work, the reader should be able to navigate in LED systems, industrial communication buses and should be able to construct this LED system.

Analysis of the communication between car's electronic control units
Zouhar, Štěpán ; Matějásko, Michal (referee) ; Spáčil, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis has 3 basic parts. In the first part is the main topic testing stand which was made for purpose of developing and testing electronic devices for cars. The next part deals with communication on the CAN bus and interface between tools CANoe and Simulink for simulation purposes of ECU‘s (Electronic Control Unit) behaviour. At the end were created 2 examples: one for CANoe and the second one for interface between CANoe and Simulink.
Active aerodynamic components of road vehicles
Stiborová, Dana ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
In this diploma thesis active aerodynamic components are designed, specifically brake cooling duct and active automotive wing. Cooling duct prototype and also active regulation controlling electronics including the software were created. Road test was performed to measure the duct parameters. Construction design and the active regulation function of the automotive wing were created. The influence of the wing on aerodynamic characteristics of the car was determined.
Application for Data Acquisition and Processing from OBDII Interface
Kabelka, Michal ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is focused on obtaining data from a car via the OBDII interface. A successive analysis of the measured values, car sensors, control systems and communication principles between them is done. Basic principles for creating Android mobile applications have been also summarized here. However, the main focus is on designing an application which uses a microcontroller ELM327 to communicate with the electronic systems of a real car. The application shows the obtained data in a form that enables the driver to improve his/her driving habits in terms of fuel economy. The application also demonstrates communication with a car outside of the OBDII standard, in this scenario, by controlling a built-in radio in the car.
CAN Protocol for Automation
Verčimák, Mário ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis describes basic properties of CAN Protocol. Next point of this thesis is implementation of CAN protocol into Kinetis microcontrollers with use of Kinetis Design Studio. Thesis also describes real application for CAN communication testing. Measurement is realized in school and real industrial conditions. Next point is implementation of real time operating system MQX and creating a task for CAN communication.
FITkit CAN Implementation
Jančo, Tomáš ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes main principles of communication on CAN bus, design and implementation of CAN bus controller. The controller is implemented in VHDL for school development platform FITkit. This work also describes design of CAN physical layer circuits for connecting FITKit to CAN bus.
