The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part defines some notions of marketing mix, financial analysis, competitive market and SWOT analysis. The practical part applies theoretical basis on Vlabo s. r. o.
Aplication of the Czech marketing strategy in Slovkia on the baby food market

The aim of the theses is to find out whether the same marketing strategy can be applied on both Czech and Slovak market or whether it should be created for the both markets separately. In the analytic part I compare the situation on the Czech and Slovak market as for economic, social and cultural environment and I analyze market potential and competitive environment. At the end I analyze the position and activities of two big players on both markets.
The competitiveness of sport centres in České Budějovice

The diploma thesis aims at the firms providing services, especially sport centres offering wide spectrum of sport services, relaxation and often mentioned wellness.The main goal of the diploma thesis was to appraise the competitiveness of sport centres in České Budějovice and give a survey of competitive background. To characterize sport realization in the region of South Bohemia and to recognize customers` requirements were the partial goals of the diploma thesis. To the achievement of the goals there were used the method of questionnaire research, SWOT analysis and Porter`s model method.The suitable arranged questionnaire has served the data describing competitinevess of particular sport centres. I have surveyed the information of the most popular and frequented sport centre. I have cooperated with this sportcentre and it was the basis of the above mentioned analysis.
Competitive Intelligence analyze of alternative energy market

The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to analytically map part of alternative energy technology and services suppliers market in the Czech Republic based on the publicly available information. In the process, I tried to verify the division of the intelligence cycle into separate collecting and analyzing parts. To achieve this goal thirty five analytic documents were created by class 4IZ210 students in the winter semester of 2009. In these documents, the entities and the links between them were tagged using a macro developed by the Tovek company and processed in Analyst's Notebook. The result is a Topic Map containing around 2.000 entities and similar amount of links, which were adjusted and evaluated to formulate competitive intelligence conclusions. The structure of this thesis copies intelligence cycle, from the identification of the client's requirements, through data collecting to results analysis. At the end, some suggestions were made to help to increase the overall efficiency and optimize the intelligence cycle.

Cílem bakalářské práce je vybrané teoretické poznatky konkurenceschopnosti podniku a metody jejího dosahování aplikovat na existující podnik Alstom Power s.r.o. a tím zlepšit jeho postavení s ohledem na konkurenční prostředí v němž se nachází. Metody analýzy konkurenceschopnosti a s tím související analýzy konkurenčního prostředí zde použité jsou zejména strukturální analýza odvětví a výběr konkurenční strategie, definice konkurenčních výhod a volba vhodných strategických rozhodnutí. Práce obsahuje jasně formulovanou konkurenční strategii a její výhody i nevýhody. Rovněž práce obsahuje kroky jimiž je možno nevýhody zvolené konkurenční strategie eliminovat, či alespoň minimalizovat.
