Pension reform: necessity or rent-seeking?
Paroubková, Martina ; Munzi, Tomáš (advisor) ; Koblovský, Petr (referee)
Pension reform is a very discussed topic of these days. Almost all groups of population agree that present system is unmaintainable because of the unfavourable demographic evolution. However, suggested methods of solution are various. This work is focused especially on a possibility of transition to a mandatory saving that represents one of three pillars of the pension system. Its aim is to analyze if the reform of the pension system can be a contribution for the whole population or only for certain groups. The paper will evaluate results from the countries in which reform has already passed (especially Chile), sum up if the pension privatization was an effective step and judge if this system is applicable also in the Czech Republic. The final report of Bezděk committee that has been analyzing the current system and suggesting changes in the system will be another source of reference. In conclusion the work should answer the question if the fund system is more suitable than the current PAYG system in the Czech Republic.

The extension of the editorial profile of the Euromedia Group publishing house following its acquisition of the Odeon mark
Fílová, Tereza ; Halada, Jan (advisor) ; Jonáková, Anna (referee)
The Odeon Publishing House has long been connected with high book culture in Czech literary history. The name Odeon itself has a long pedigree in Czechoslovakia, and dates back to the nineteen twenties, when it fi rst appeared as the name of Fromek's publishing house. Later the State Publishing House of Belles-Iettres, Music and Arts (SNKLHU) appropriated the famou s Odeon mark and subsequently in the nineteen sixties changed its name to Odeon. It ranked, both by volume of sales and by the high quality of its publications from both Czech and foreign authors among the abso lute top in Czechoslovakian culture till the early nineties. The nineties brought for Odeon a short interruption of its publishing, and in fact a suspension of all its activities, in consequence of the socioeconomic changes at that time. The mark Odeon again became synonymous with the highest quality book production when the Euromedia Group company acquired the Odeon mark in 1999 and once again began publishing books under this famous and prestigious mark. The editorial policy of Odeon publishing since 1953 has comprised the broad literary genre from the antiquities until the present day, with the dominance of translation literature, next the literary historical works and the theory of fine art, belles-lettres and aesthethics and also the...

The Language of Contemporary Advertising and the Codification of the Czech Language (The Regional Press of the Town Beroun Its Surroundings)
Očenášková, Gabriela ; Kvítková, Naděžda (referee) ; Chejnová, Pavla (advisor)
The thesis deals with the language of contemporary advertising published 1 in a selection of regional newspapers of the town Beroun and its surroundings, i.e. Berounsky denik, Podbrdské noviny and The Independent Newspaper of the Beroun Region - ECHO. The main part of the paper evaluates the language of advertising from the point of view of codification and examines the flaws in orthography which appear in these texts. The deviations from the orthography rules found in the texts are classified in compliance to The Czech Language Orthography Rules published in 2004. Following the discovered facts I tried to find out which mistakes prevail, to identify the causes of their origin and to review to what extent the adult population has mastered the rules. Besides the orthographic flaws I also focused on other aberrations from the language standards and special features in the fields of stylistics, lexicology and morphology. As I worked with a specific type of newspapers - the regional press - 1 also tried to draw a more general picture of the form and the language of their advertising and to compare the present-day situation with the condition twelve years ago when these newspapers started to be published. Nodální regiony v Evropě vymezené na základě letecké dopravy
ROZKOŠNÝ, Filip
This master´s thesis deals with the delineating of nodal regions via civil aviation data in the territory of central European states. This kind of transport has become a very popular type of spatial mobility after its deregulation and liberalization particularly thanks to its speed, cheaper fares and relative safety. Thanks to this spatial mobility of inhabitants, it is possible to delineate borders of regions according to real movements. Supposing usage of aviation data to delineate nodal regions, the airports represent their nodes. The purpose of this master´s thesis was delineating nodal regions via civil transport data in an interesting territory of Central Europe. Its western and eastern part has undergone different historical and political development which has had consequences on the aviation development level. Research input data included number of flights between central European airports for the period of 1 day. The master´s thesis is structured into 5 chapters. The first parts are: introduction and goals, theoretical part and methodology. The analytical part evaluates the whole nodal-region-delineating process and also nodal regions final hierarchical structure. Each partial part of research was depicted into a map and was also expressed by population and area. There are answers on the input hypothesis in the final part of this paper.
