Wing fatigue safe life investigation of single-engine multipurpose aircraft
Electrically powered plane conceptual design
Ševčík, Igor ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with conceptual design of a new electrically powered aircraft as assignment for Evektor, s.r.o. company. In the first part of thesis there is more detailed elaboration of small aircraft statistics and their comparison. Thesis then concentrates on assigned parameters and requirements for design. Next section continues with the most important part of thesis, which is optimization of wing used for aircraft design and also analysis of its characteristics. The problematics of preliminary verification of flight performances as well as aircraft dimension design and follow-up weight analysis with consideration of power cells placement is described thereafter. A few different flight configurations is taken into consideration within weight analysis. Final part contains evaluation of optimization and design process.
The growth and development of wings during ontogeny with emphasis on Palaeodictyoptera
Rosová, Kateřina ; Prokop, Jakub (advisor) ; Sroka, Pavel (referee)
The series of two fossil species belonging to the order Palaeodictyoptera from the Late Carboniferous of Kuznetsk Basin in Russia were re-examined. The two species as Tchirkovaea guttata and Paimbia fenestrata were investigated with emphasis on the wing growth and development in comparison with the structure of developing wings in recent mayflies. This fossil material of T. guttata and P. fenestrata was long considered by previous authors as undisputed evidence for a unique type of wing development in the Palaeozoic insects. The idea was that the larvae of these insects possessed the wings, which became articulated and fully movable already earlier during the postembryonic development and that these gradually growing wings changed their position from longitudinal to perpendicular to the body axis. Moreover, the development was supposed to include two or more subimaginal instars, implying that the fully winged instars moulted several times during postembryonic development. After detailed study of the available fossils and subsequent comparison of the fossil evidence with the development of wings in the recent mayfly Cloeon dipterum it was discovered, that the alleged series of immature, subimaginal and imaginal wings of T. guttata and P. fenestrata do not provide clear evidence that would support...
Design of new konception of the structural design of the main wing hinges of the Z 242
Hála, Aleš ; Augustin, Petr (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with modernization of the Z 242 L aircraft wing. The main emphasis is given to the connection of the wing and fuselage. The new concept of both main and rear wing spar is designed together with integral fuel tank. The strength of the structure is evaluated analytically and numerically by use of Finite element analysis. Wide range of milling operations is implemented into manufacturing process as well. This thesis shows how to innovate current aircraft with respect to feasibility of the design in case of future project realization.
Aircraft Flight Controls Actuator - Modeling and Control
Kolář, Bohumil ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compile and control the actuator model, which approximates the behavior of a real actuator under load. The work describes individual types of actuators and their properties. The mathematical model of the actuator is also described. This model consists of a motor and a load. The mathematical model is applied in the Simulink environment where a control structure was designed and added. The work also describes the construction of the real actuator and its subsequent testing in the ControlDesk. The results of the individual test are in the form of step responses.
Preliminary aerodynamic analysis of remotely controlled model with jet propulsion
Novák, Ondřej ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with aerodynamic analysis of unmanned aircraft and subsequent changes to design of wing, its position and wing-fuselage junction. In this work emphasis is laid on flow separation, its interaction with other flow structures and its influence on aerodynamic properties. The goal of these changes to the aircraft is ensuring sufficient stability and controllability in low as well as high angle of attack flight. AVL, XFLR5 and CFD methods were used in the thesis. In case of inaccuracy of CFD calculation, two backup wing related modifications were prepared.
History of Civil Aviation 1970-2000
Zubrvalčík, Jan ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor‘s thesis is utilize consice summary of history of civil aviation between year 1970 to 2000 and compare their performance. This era is typical with out-set of airplanes with large capacity and new construction solutions. This thesis is focused on planes for long distance with large capacity, but also on planes for middle and short distances too. Thesis is divided by range of airplanes and special charter is about supersonic civil planes.
