System of plans and budgets - the theory and experience

The main aim of the thesis work is a description of internal budgeting. The work is divided among eight basic questions concerned with company budgets compared with my observations from the firm. Theoretical part came out from a basic managerial accounting literature. Internal information, methods and tabs from branch of Japanese firm which act her business in a local Czech market.

Eritrea and Somaliland - comparison of independence struggle

The aim of this thesis is to compare efforts of Eritrea and Somaliland to obtain independence and to find out why Eritrea was in independence obtaining succesful and Somaliland not. Chapter 1 offers a basic theoretical background concerning a question of international law and formation of a state. Based on basic international law documents regarding this topic it describes crucial terms and principles. Further it discusses a question of secession justifiability and it concerns also application of theoretical principles in reality. Chapter 2 includes basic geographical information and ethnical characteristics of population of both regions. Chapter 3 briefly describes history of both states from their emergence up to the beginning of fifties of the last century. The aim of this chapter is to describe international and internal influences which formed uniqueness of both regions within parent states which later supported the efforts to obtain independence. Chapter 4 is devoted to a concrete description of both areas' efforts to obtain independence in the second half of 20th century. It focuses mainly on international negotiations regarding future of both countries, formation and development of independence movements and the concrete course of independence declaration. Chapter 5 evaluates the course and results of independence struggle in both countries.

Social security an old age

The subject of the thesis is an evaluation of how the economically active population of the Czech Republic is preparing for a time when they will receive a pension. The theoretical part is devoted to social policy, its basic characteristics and typology of social systems in Europe. This part is followed lyrics dealing with the development of the pension system in the Czech Republic with a description of the current three-pillar system. More attention is paid canceled the second pillar and experience with him in Poland and the Slovak Republic. The thesis focuses on the third pillar, which supports more merit principle. The research part of the thesis builds on the theoretical basis and through a questionnaire survey investigates how people rely on funding from the state and how much saving themselves for the purpose of security in old age. The survey was conducted among respondents in the age group from 20 to 59 years throughout the Czech Republic. Respondents were divided into four age categories over 10 years, and each category is represented by one quarter of respondents.

- The Issue of the Concept of Criminal Custody This diploma thesis deals with the instrument of criminal custody as a security instrument. This instrument is considered as quite controversial in view of the fact that it's usage means the conflict between the interest of the investigating authority to accomplish the purpose of prosecution and person's right to personal freedom guaranteed by the Charter of fundamental rights and freedoms while the accused has to be treated as innocent according to the principle of presumption of innocence. The goal of this diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current legislation of the instrument of custody and also of the problems connected with custody. The thesis is divided into seven chapters including the introduction and the ending chapter. The second chapter deals with the development of the custody legislation in history and major part of the chapter is focused on the Act's of criminal procedure from years 1873, 1950 and 1961. The third and the fourth chapter pay attention to the current legislation which is included in the Act of criminal procedure no. 141/1961 Coll. Reinforcing UX Principles in Existing User Interfaces

This thesis explains meaning of user experience, its main aspects, selected methodology, its integration into agile development process and what UX maturity level can be represented in real company. It also deals with analysis of selected existing user interfaces used for network print management and its end users. Prototyping and user testing methods are iteratively applied to these user interfaces. Evaluation of these methods concludes the thesis with a recommendation what UX processes should be integrated for future development of user interfaces in Y Soft.

Gamification in Teaching

This thesis focuses on the topic of gamification and searches for options of using gamification to improve student experience in the Principles of Management course at University of Economics, Prague. The thesis formally defines gamification and identifies the theory of motivation and game design as two key paradigms in the topic. The practical part uses the apparatus of managerial decision making to choose a suitable variant for implementing gamification elements the self-management activity 30 Days Challenge. The application Habitica is identified as a suitable solution.

Framing and its Effect on Misinformation

The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which the framing of information can reduce the persistence of misinformation. The overall research consists of two experiments of which the first has been conducted and is described in this paper. It investigates the strength of differently framed statements and the degree to which the regulatory focus fit the participants experienced influenced their preference for certain statements. 52 participants have completed the survey in which they were presented several statements containing the same facts but framed differently based on the principles of valence message framing. The research found the positive goal frame, positive valence frame and the company s original statement to be most effective. These statements will form the basis for the second experiment which aims to combine the different frames in such a manner that the continued influence effect will be reduced.

Unemployment and risk groups in the labor market in the Pardubice region

The thesis deals with the problems of unemployment, focusing on unemployment risk groups on the labour market in a particular region. Pardubice region is the selected region. Analysis of unemployment is made for the period 2000-2015. The position of the Pardubice region is specified as part of a nationwide trend. The basic Elementary characteristics of the time series are used to determine the basic trends in the developments of indicators. In the next part of the work a questionnnaire survey is made among the residents of the selected area, which is a survey of views on unemployment in residence place and personal experience with unemployment and employment

Bachelor thesis follows up the possibilities of using NAS in small companies and households. Theoretical part is devoted to the definition of basic concepts, introduction of device, analysis of basic and extending functions. It focuses primaly on analysis of suported comunication protocols, commonly used file systems and principles of function disk arrays. One section is dedicated to data backup and NAS server protection, marginally to wireless security, which is closely related with the theme, especially in terms of data misuse. In practical part, the basic services and setings are described at the first. In further steps, the applications and functions are introduced for their subsequent use as common user as small company.

Process model of information system maintenance

The thesis is dedicated to the modeling of processes related to the operation of information systems. The theoretical part deals with the operation of information systems in the context of the general methodology for IT services and procedural framework ITIL for service management in IT services. The following part focuses on overview of the basic principles for process modeling and brief characteristics of selected modeling methodologies and notations. Theoretical assumptions are applied in the practical part of the thesis, in which BPMN notation through using the software tool ARIS Express are assembled general models of identified key processes associated with the operation of an information system according to the procedural framework ITIL.
