Is the concept of human rights fictitious? Jürgen Habermas' postmetaphysical conception of human rights.

Human rights are the pervasive practical and political concept, discussed in various branches: political and legal philosophy, political science or jurisprudence. In the diploma thesis, this concept is discussed in the framework of political philosophy. An author's basic question: Is the concept of human rights plausible (rationally valid) in the postmetaphysical situation as well, and if so, which rights are possible to specify as "human"? This question is asked in view of contemporary (content, spatial and symbolical) expansion of human rights and solved in light of Jürgen Habermas' conception of human rights. Habermas' conception of human rights represents probably the most significant rational attempt to reformulate this concept in the postmetaphysical situation. His foundation is apparently free from the burden of all anthropological presuppositions, connected with a pristine articulation of the rights of man. As we know, these presuppositions also resound in the legal concept of human dignity. Abstract The main sources has been found recently of the works of the greats architects Max Tintner and Zikmund Kerekes, II. w.w. survivors, architects who extablished their lives after II. w.w. in Israel. Also new information has been occurred in reconnection with architect André Steiner who spent his life in Atlanta, USA. Archives materials about unknown work made by Otto Eisler was also found. The main intention of the PhD thesis is to collect those unsorted materials and information of mentioned architects and to create comparison of their architectural works.

Bachelor thesis seeks the interspace between artifact and installation and the works of artists and "architect of the exhibition" in order to question the role of authorship of a work of art and to argue over the value of artwork. It uses collage approach to combine gallery space, arrangement and artifacts. The thesis refers to modern and archival turn in contemporary art.

Bachelor's thesis project proposal addresses Gallery of Architecture in Brno – Cerna pole. The main theme is the expansion of public street space and the formation of new of pedestrian path by creating a new connection between Drobného and Čenopolní street. The purpose of the project is the cultural and architectural revival around Čenopolní street. The building itself is located inside the existing residential villa area of the thirties. Tthe shape is inspired by pre WWII modernism . The proposed gallery space of the street seems from street level like couple of separate buildings, with interconecting lower platform with a terrace and beautiful a view of Brno. The building contains a gallery with space for conferences and workshops, and a small cafe.

Part of work is also a brief characteristic of Art Nouveau and short profiles of some famous architects, who participated in constructions. Also there is a brief catalogue of buildings that are described in this work and pictorial supplement too.
Social work and necessity of a united professional association seen through gender policy

The thesis deals with social work and its current situation. The work focuses on the reflection of the gender issues in social work. The introductory part is devoted to the public and the private sphere and the way how it was set in the society and to the consequences for men and women. The next part briefly introduces the history of the social work as a domain of women and the church, which reflected/did not reflect the social revolutions, development and changes that have happened in our society up to the present day. The second part of the work points to the uncrystallization and fragmentation of social work, difficult self-definition/identification of male and female social workers as a result of the post-modern society code and the gender contract. The thesis subsequently compares the problems of social work and women´s associations and finds the solution in the implementation of a united professional association.
Modernity in Controversy. Zikmund Winters´ work in the Journal Zvon (1900-1912)

This piece of work will be talking about famous works (such as Peklo, Mistr Kam- panus) and margine contributions of Zikmund Winter. These contributions were published in 1900 ? 1912 in magazine called Zvon. These texts will be considered especially from the poit of view of the contributors of magazine Zvon and Moderní revue. These contributors had many polemics between each other. Moderní revue was the centre of decadent and symbolist orientation. My aim is to describe the literaly method of Zikmund Winter that can be considered sometimes as opposed, sometimes as identical with programme of Česká moderna. The solution will be not only the interpretation of chosen works but also the analysis of comments, editorial notes and reviews concerned these works.
Critical Discourse in the Period 1918 - 1922 (Reception of Early Work of Čapek´s Brothers).

This bachelor thesis analyzes the critical discourse in the Czech literary environment from 1918 to 1922 in the relation to the early modernist work of Čapek's brothers. The theoretical aspect deals with various approaches to literary history and the potential benefits of the analysis of contemporary critical reception of literature, and of critical discourse in general. The custom practical section is devoted to an analysis of the accumulated material from the contemporary press. It analyzes the speech of major critics who have written about the works of Čapek's brothers from different aesthetic and ideological perspectives, and seeks to outline the essential elements of representative variants of contemporary critical discourse, which is characterized in terms of aesthetic concepts and contemporary ideas. In the conclusion the results are considered as absorption and subversive forces in contemporary speech.
Possibilities and Overlaps of the Traditional FolkAarchitecture as an Inspiration for the Environmentally Friendly Architecture Today

The work deals with the possibility of use the traditional knowledges and methods in construction with regards to today's lifestyle and technology, emphasizes the importance of the legacy, respect for countryside, individuality and surrounding environment. Above all I try to summarize the information about the current situation in architecture of family houses, which influence dominates in this area and which choices we have. I target especially the organic architecture mainly for wood constructions. At the beginning of the work I describe the issues of present architecture. I am dealing with the question if traditional and modern way of life must be in conflict, how we change our environment today and what could be the eventual effects for the future. The second part of the work is focused on the traditional vernacular architecture in South Bohemia, especially in the Bohemian Forest (Šumava) region, on types of construction, use and processing of materials and their integration into the countryside. The final part is applied to present ecology architecture. Firstly I summarize and identify the objects in general, subsequently I focus on the wood constructions, which correspond to traditional knowledge and experience in the manufacture and processing of wood.
Ethical Values of Pluralism

The thesis is focused on the analyse of postmodernism, especially its center {--} pluralism. The aim of this thesis is to valorize its meaning from the view of ethic and to show, that pluralism is inescapable and it is positive situation, because it helps to evolve freedom of people and make it possible to self-determination. First chapter is introduction to postmodern philosophy and postmodern society. Second chapter theoreticaly entertains pluralism, describes its functioning, its demands and apologizes it from critics. Third chapter illustrates some concrete examples of pluralism. Theme of last chapter is freedom and what positive brings pluralism to her. In conclusion is resume and apology of positive gains of pluralism.
