The impacts of inappropriate footwear and physiotherapy strategies to correct selected disorders
MALÍNSKÁ, Veronika
The thesis consists of practical and theoretical part. The theoretical part focuses on the fundamental information on foot anatomy, kinesiology and the examination of walking process. In this part I have also included the negative effects of footwear and the description of apparatus I have worked with during the practical part of my work. I have determined two goals for my thesis. First goal is to search out possibilities of suitable physiotherapy for patients suffering from inappropriate footwear. Second goal is to suggest a training unit and create educational materials for these patients. In my research I have selected a group of five females aged 22 to 25 years, who are used to wear different kinds of footwear (common shoes, high heels, orthopaedic shoes, barefoot shoes, no shoes at all, etc.). I have design the therapeutic plan in a way the group sessions differentiate from each other in order to have more variety of exercises for the patients to choose from after the end of the therapy session. For home workout I have selected set of eight exercises, each to be done twenty times with three such sets per day. One set takes up about 5 to 10 minutes. My findings conclude that the exercises have positive effect on walking, body stability and weight distribution between feet. There was a significant improvement of walking kinesiology with proper forward rolling onto the ball of foot and big toe push off during the propulsive phase. The improvement occurred especially with high heels, orthopaedic shoes and common shoes. When checking out, patients had better weight distribution between feet, toes were more spread, all toes had contact with the floor ant there was also one case of partial flat feet improvement. The results of my work may be valuable for other physiotherapist in their clinical practice or for educational purposes. There is a leaflet attached that can be used as an educational material for patients, public or for parents of children for whom the proper development of foot is essential.

The age related changes in walk stereotype
Vojtová, Michaela ; Vacek, Jan (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
1 Abstract: The aim of this study quantify and compare the differences in the dynamics of foot movement compared with static in adulthood and old age, focusing on the midstance phase. A secondary objective is to outline the relationship with the angular distribution of pressure on the sole. For measurements two measuring methods were used. The kinematic analysis named Qualysis was used as a main method and system of plantar pressure insoles Pedar X as a complementary method. The difference in measured distance of 1-MP calcaneus, 5MP - calcaneus and pronate angle of calcaneus was prooved using the statistical calculation, which confirmed the hypothesis of half clear a significant degree. Subsequently, the changes were further specified using the results of the distribution of maximum force and contact time of the soles.

The impact of non - functional sole of foot on the posture of people with non - sedentary kind of employment
TOMČALOVÁ, Michaela
This thesis focuses on the non-functional sole of the foot and its influence on people with sedentary job's body posture. As a non-functional sole of the foot is considered, in the research part of this thesis, the deviation of the standard that can be determined by means of podoscope which displays the sole of foot, or by functional tests. The first aim of this work is to describe the posture disorder of people working in an environment where they burden the sole of the foot in the long term. The second aim consists in the suggesting and applying a physiotherapeutic plan for particular people with a dysfunctional foot sole and not having sedentary job. The target of the research question was to define a particular pattern of the posture disorder as a consequence of the dysfunction of the foot sole. In the theoretical part of the thesis the reader is informed about the development and anatomy of the foot, its function that can be focused on from the point of view of a foot as such as well as the function of the foot as an impact on the posture when sitting, standing and walking. Another part deals with the posture and its modifications in both, the statistics and dynamics. In relation to the research part of this thesis, there are incorporated chapters about the possibilities for the examination of the foot from the point of inspection, palpation, active and passive movements and, last but not least, the functional examination including tests of the sole of the foot and instrumental examination of the posture - posturography. Because of the target of the description of the consequences of the non-functional foot sole, there is a description of the function muscle chains that connect the sole of the foot, and the posture, included. A short part of the theory is dedicated to sanitary footwear. For the research part of the work, three women aged 21 22 with non-sedentary jobs, working eight hours per day as a minimum, with subjective difficulties with the pain of lower limbs and back in the lumbar area, were chosen. The collection of data took place in the form of processing three case interpretations with the use of the method of an interview, comparison and a kinesiological analysis, including the use of objective methods of the examination with podoscope and posturograph. The content of the kinesiological analysis was focused on a chosen test that were after the end of the therapy registered in a chart depicting the pattern of the posture disorder. The examination by posturograph includes projection of the focal point of probands to the supportive base and the measure of their motoric abilities. There was a physiotherapeutical plan conducted and applied in the form of exercise during the therapy of probands. The therapy took place for nine weeks, the brobands exercised every two weeks under the supervision of a therapist with the purpose of eliminating potential mistakes. The exercise was extended or corrected according to the actual condition of probands. From the results of the theoretical part it is obvious that it is possible to create the pattern of the posture disorder in case of the people with non-sedentary working place.
Possibilities of physiotherapy and problematics of flat foot focus on pupils of older school age
PODRACKÁ, Veronika
This thesis deals with the issue of flatfoot in older school-age children and physiotherapy methods effective for this condition. The human foot underwent considerable changes during its evolution once a limb adapted to climbing, it gradually developed into an organ which enables humans locomotion and upright stance. Flatfoot is a rather common condition described as minimal to non-existent arch of the foot. The aim of this thesis is to list the physiotherapy methods which can be used to treat the condition in older school-age children, to suggest an exercise to help improve both the foot flexibility and the arch position, and to describe the effects of exercising on a person´s posture. The theoretical part of this thesis includes the description of the foot anatomy, foot functions and its functional relationships with other parts of the body. This part of my thesis also describes the flatfoot condition and possible therapy methods focused on children of older school age. The practical part is based on a qualitative research. The focus group of my research were three school children two girls aged 12 and 13 and a boy, 12 years old. The physiotherapy treatment was applied for eight weeks, once a week under my supervision, and the patients were asked to do the required set of exercises daily. The data was gathered during the initial and the final kinesiology examination and photos providing documentary evidence were enclosed. The physical examination included 3D scan assessment. Respective casuistries and both short-term and long-term individual rehabilitation plans were based on the processed data. The set of exercises was created beforehand and then modified during the therapy according to each patient´s physical ability and their current condition. The last therapy session included each patient´s subjective feedback concerning the therapy and its results. Positive results and a distinct improvement of the foot arch position and the body posture were achieved in each case.
