Comenius?s Orbis Sensualium Pictus through the Eyes of the Pupils of the Lower Grades of Primary Schools
Hochová, Hana ; Uhlířová, Jana (advisor) ; Křivánek, Zdeněk (referee)
The diploma work is divided into two parts. In the first part which is a theoretical one, I have been focused on the analysis of Komensky's thoughts, on the issues of human activity, on the didactical principles, and particularly on the object teaching which culminated later on in the work Scltola ludus. Further my work deals with the development and with the analysis of the factually language textbooks in the context with life cycle of Jan Amos Komensky, with the position of work Orbis sensualium pictus among these textbooks and with the analysis of the own text. In the second part which is a practical one, I dealt with the selection of seven chapters of the work Orbis sensualium pictus through which I intended to reach an understanding with Komensky epoch and to perform a contemporary educational subjectmatter. A new Orbis pictus has been created by pupils, who fitted it with a new up-to-date content and continued the original themes of Komensky. As a method of my work I opted a long term project having duration one month. Being carried out with pupils of first class of the primary school.

Production of evidence in tax proceedings
Raiser, Gabriela ; Boháč, Radim (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee)
EVIDENCE IN TAX PROCEEDINGS Abstract The purpose of the thesis is on one hand to provide an overall view of the issue of burden of proof in tax proceedings. On the other hand the thesis gives a detailed look into unclear and problematic provisions of the Tax Code concerning the burden of proof of tax subjects as well as that of tax administrators. The reason for my analysis is that number of questions related to the burden of proof in tax proceedings are very often matter of disputes between tax subjects and tax administrators which in many cases has to be decided by the Czech Supreme Administrative Court. The thesis is composed of four chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of evidence. Chapter One is introductory and deals with evidence in proceedings in general. It also defines basic terminology used in the thesis such as evidence, basic principles of process, burden of production or burden of persuasion. The Chapter Two explains specifics of evidence in tax proceedings. Chapter Three deals with the definition of evidence and mentions different types of evidence in tax proceedings. Chapter Four is focused on the key issue of evidence in tax proceedings - the concept of burden of proof. The chapter consists of five parts. Part One concerns burden of proof of taxpayers while Part Two looks...

The reemigration of the Czech minority from Daruvar region (Croatia) after the Second World War in the light of their life stories.
Pelikánová, Hana ; Uherek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kandert, Josef (referee)
In my thesis I am dealing with the subject of the afterwar reemigration of Czech from Daruvar region (Croatia), the center of Czech minority in the Northern Balcan which was enjoying a flourishing cultural and economical growth in the interwar period. After WWII many of the settlers decided to return to their old homeland in the process of the so-called reemigration which had to compensate for the forced departure of the expelled German minority from the Czech lands. In my thesis I have recorded life-story interviews with expatriates from Daruvar region and I am focusing on several issues in connection with these events. First of all, I am trying to reconstruct the circurmstances, motivation and the course of the reemigration transfers. Secondly, I am also dealing with the topic of the integration of expatriates in the society which had undergone thorough socioeconomical changes after the WWII. Finally, I am analysing the individual evaluations of this life experience and the positive and negative consequences it brought to the expatriates and their families.

Social security an old age
Blahovcová, Lucie ; Kučerová, Eva (advisor) ; Marcel, Marcel (referee)
The subject of the thesis is an evaluation of how the economically active population of the Czech Republic is preparing for a time when they will receive a pension. The theoretical part is devoted to social policy, its basic characteristics and typology of social systems in Europe. This part is followed lyrics dealing with the development of the pension system in the Czech Republic with a description of the current three-pillar system. More attention is paid canceled the second pillar and experience with him in Poland and the Slovak Republic. The thesis focuses on the third pillar, which supports more merit principle. The research part of the thesis builds on the theoretical basis and through a questionnaire survey investigates how people rely on funding from the state and how much saving themselves for the purpose of security in old age. The survey was conducted among respondents in the age group from 20 to 59 years throughout the Czech Republic. Respondents were divided into four age categories over 10 years, and each category is represented by one quarter of respondents.

Detailed Investigation of Electron Antineutrino Oscillations in the Daya Bay Experiment
Roskovec, Bedřich ; Leitner, Rupert (advisor)
Observed disappearance of reactor antineutrinos in the short baseline in Daya Bay can be explained by the phenomenon of neutrino flavour oscillations. The analysis in standard three- neutrino framework provides the best measurement of mixing angle of θ13 and the value of effective mass squared difference ∆m2 ee with comparable precision with other experiments. The unprecedented precision of Daya Bay motivates us to extend our search beyond standard three-neutrino oscillation scheme. It this thesis, we have explored two scenarios of possible physics Beyond Standard Model (BSM). We have tested the fundamental symmetry of the nature by searching for the Lorentz Invariance violation effect within the framework of the Standard-Model Extension (SME). Such an effect could be observed as a deviation from three- neutrino oscillation prediction in the oscillated antineutrino spectrum. Since we have not observed any significant deviation, we have been able to set the limits on the SME parameters. Some of the limits were measured for the first time while some turned out not to be competitive with the measurement of other experiments. We have also performed search for Non-standard Interactions (NSIs) in the Daya Bay. Being forbidden in the Standard Model, these interactions are predicted by BSM theories for which...

Defense expenditures financing of the United States of America during World War II
Jurák, Marek ; Johnson, Zdenka (advisor) ; Chalupecký, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the financing of war expenditures of the United States of America during Second World War. Thesis starts with a theoretical introduction to fiscal policy which is widely contained throughout the whole thesis. Followed with brief introduction to the economic history of the USA. Beginning with the Roaring Twenties ended by the Great Depression followed with politics of New Deal. The second part introduces the principles of war economy and the instruments which goverment use to affect and finance the economy. Goals of this thesis are to analyze these instruments and find out to what extent were used. The subject of analysis is especially funding through taxation which took a large part of the war financing, but not the majority. Results of this paper indicate that the most of the defense expenditures were financed through debt, mostly by borrowing from the public through purchased war bonds.

Framing and its Effect on Misinformation
Bank, Shanna ; Pauknerová, Daniela (advisor) ; Procházka, David Anthony (referee)
The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which the framing of information can reduce the persistence of misinformation. The overall research consists of two experiments of which the first has been conducted and is described in this paper. It investigates the strength of differently framed statements and the degree to which the regulatory focus fit the participants experienced influenced their preference for certain statements. 52 participants have completed the survey in which they were presented several statements containing the same facts but framed differently based on the principles of valence message framing. The research found the positive goal frame, positive valence frame and the company s original statement to be most effective. These statements will form the basis for the second experiment which aims to combine the different frames in such a manner that the continued influence effect will be reduced.

CZECH NATURALISTIC RURAL DRAMA IN POSTMODERN PRODUCTIONS
Pokorný, Vít ; VEDRAL, Jan (advisor) ; FRANZ, Vladimír (referee)
This thesis analyses several plays of postmodern Czech naturalistic rural drama. By using comprehensive analysis and numerous examples, the work deals with the key question why traditional realistic dramas based on the mimetic principles are so attractive for the nonconformist and provocative authors, generally known as postmodernists. The work introduces the term postmodernism as a new philosophical way of seeing Euro-American civilization but also as an artistic style, which gives these thoughts an aesthetical basis in the context of Czech and also world history and culture. To get the essential knowledge of the topic, the main principles of realistic and naturalistic poetics are introduced. The work is trying to find an answer to the question ask above by analysing seven plays of postmodern Czech naturalistic rural drama. The analysis is based on experience of spectators and readers and also numerous examples from postmodern literature, film, fine art and music. The key factor of this analysis is the conflict of archetypal human essence and today often discussed absence of transpersonal order, which affects humans even against their will. The interpreted texts work with the topics of human struggle with love, faith, responsibility and compassion, which seem to be very attractive for the postmodern artists. These kinds of texts can give us an evidence of the epoch we live in. Whether the personal freedom ruined human faith in some greater sense or the sexual revolution actually buried the metaphysical essence of love. As an author, I came to the conclusion, that discussed plays demonstrates a postmodern human as a schizophrenic being, denying under the influence of general moral status existence of universally valid order, in spite of seeking this order in its soul desperately. Introducing my own concept of “the great second”, I try to defend my conviction, that in this exhausting struggle, the art can be for human desired, purifying and fulfilling power
