Evaluation and modelling of Traffic Noise
Černoch, Adam ; Spies, Karel (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
The task of the master's thesis is introduction with the problems of traffic noise, focusing on noise from road traffic. There is a description what is the noise, how it is formed, its resources and what are the methods of measuring. The following are the various noise reduction measures such as noise barriers and low noise pavements. The main attention is devoted to the noise generated at the tire / road that is reduced by these pavements. The practical part describes the implemented measurements on individual sections at various locations in our country. The measurement was carried by slightly modified method CPX with reference tire directly at the vehicle. The main aim was to evaluate the measurement data, make comparison of different low-noise surfaces with each other and with the commonly used surfaces. Then quantification of the rate reduction of the noise emission for a given section and verification of input data for noise modeling. In conclusion, the obtained results are summarized and based on them were confirmed very good acoustic properties with the recommendation to continue with measurements in the future.
Company Financing via Initial Public Offering
Kašpar, Jan ; Bradnová, Eva (referee) ; Meluzín, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to assess the suitability of financing company’s project via initial public offering as well as to set the steps of the whole IPO process. The introductory section clarifies important terms related to the issue. Practical section deals with the company’s readiness and observance rate of assumptions of a successful emission. There are outlined individual steps in addition. The conclusion formulates own suggestions, including improving recommendation.
Company Financing via Initial Public Offering
Kovář, Jakub ; Ptáček,, Roman (referee) ; Meluzín, Tomáš (advisor)
Subject of this thesis is initial public offering and it’s main goal is describing of obtaining external funds for company’s funding. In the first part of the thesis is description of basic structure of financial markets, especially stock markets. The term IPO and it’s advantages and disadvantages are described. The last part is focused on individual steps of IPO realization. This thesis is focused on evaluation of chosen company’s entry on stock market. Especially macro-economic presumptions for IPO, readiness of chosen company and choice of suitable market are evaluated.

The folowing work deals with primary public issue of stocks - an external financial source of business activities. This source of finance is defined to the reader as: there are explained advantages and disadvantages of IPO Process, including supposition of succesful enter to the stock exchange. This work is concretly oriented on Pre-filing phase of a company for an enter to the stock exchange with the aim to set a procedure of IPO Process and apply it to a concrete company.
Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Kosík, Jaroslav ; Mikulčík, Aleš (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis is specialized on obtaining basic piece of electric and hybrid vehicles and their development. The first part of the work deals with electrical vehicles, their history and the possible development of these vehicles can take. In the next section is an example use of electric vehicles in the practical traffic. It is stated these vehicles compared with vehicles using the type of propulsion, such as cars with combustion engines or hybrid vehicles. At the end of chapter is supplemented by specific examples of photographic electrical vehicles. The third part of the work deals with the expected development of electric and hybrid vehicles. There is also a description of hybrid vehicles, and their comparisions with other vehicles using the drive as well as other examples of hybrid vehicles.
Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Analysis
Slaběňák, Patrik ; Kuchyňková, Hana (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Nowadays, oil resources start to decrease, therefore it is necessary to think about alternative sources of energy. The result of this semester project is a basic overview of the current development of electric and hybrid cars, with potential application in normal operation and the proximity of their main characteristics, such as mileage, price and service when traveling. The energy required to operate the electric stored in batteries are recharged using the power stations, which is also devoted part of the work. The thesis focuses on the design and calculation of power consumption for a defined route of four-wheel electric wheelchair. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the future development of hybrid and electric vehicles, and with the expected trends in the field of power electronics and motors and with the propagation of hybrid vehicles to the customers.
Environmental aspects of steam-gas power station Červený Mlýn
Šilar, Martin ; Kulichová, Lucie (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the environmental aspects of combined heat and power station Červený Mlýn (Red Mill). The introductory part of the thesis focuses on the current production technology and the electricity balance of the power station. The heat and power station (also called combined cycle heat and power plant) is scrutinized in terms of emissions sources, focusing on pollutant emissions to air in the following chapter. In this part of the thesis the quantities of the released emissions, namely solid particulate matter (TZL), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon dioxide (CO2) are also calculated. The calculation is worked out according to the valid Czech legislation. Further on, the current production technology of the power station is compared with the best available technologies according to the valid directive 2008/1/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning integrated pollution prevention and control. The last chapter presents the innovative technologies which could possibly be installed to reduce pollution emissions (especially nitrogen oxides - NOx) to air at the heat and power station Červený Mlýn.
Influence of traffic volume and meteorological conditions on the air pollution
Vojtěchová, Ivana ; Kotlík, Josef (referee) ; Adamec,, Vladimír (advisor)
Transport, whose intensity year by year increase, has assuredly influence on air quality. This issue solution will be focused especially on localities burden with transport in urban areas. The contribution of transport to increased values of air pollution will be evaluated with regards to meteorological conditions. Background stations from Czech Hydrometeorological Institute categorization will be chosen such as comparative sites. Pollutants emitted from traffic such as particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide will be observed except meteorological conditions.
Dissolution of silicates for carbon dioxide mineral storage
Křečková, Magdaléna ; Havlica, Jaromír (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
The degradability of wollastonite, montmorillonite and talc in an aqueous solution of acetic acid at different temperatures is main object of this study. Mineral carbonation, i.e. the reaction of calcium and magnesium presented in these three silicates, is a novel and promising approach to carbon dioxide capture and long-term storage. The kinetic of wollastonite, montmorillonite and talc dissolution is studied due to assessment of their efficiency for CCS technologies. The dissolution kinetic is discovered with using measured time dependence of Ca2+ and Mg2+ leached ions concentration.
Optimization of biomass boiler
Mizerovský, Karel ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Štelcl, Otakar (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis solves the problem of measure to optimization boiler of biomass. Theoretic part deals with divided of boiler using solid fuels, exactly boiler focus on biomass combustion. Second part deals with design of deflectors to increase combustion efficiency and practical testing of proposal.
