Urban, Marián ; Netuka, Ivan (advisor) ; Ošťádal, Petr (referee) ; Mrázek, František (referee)
Background: In recent years mechanical circulatory assist devices became an established option in bridging patients with refractory heart failure to heart transplantation. One of the alleged limitations of mechanical devices is a high degree of antibody production with possible deleterious effect on subsequent heart transplantation outcome. Aim: The main goal of this study is to assess the role of antibodies on the outcome of surgical treatment of patients with end- stage heart failure. Method: Firstly, we present a literature review on the current state of knowledge of possible immunologic mechanisms involved in antibody production in left ventricular assist device (LVAD) recipients, new methods of antibody detection, desensitization strategies and overview of published evidence assessing the impact of sensitization on post-transplantation outcome. In the experimental part of our study we prospectively evaluated the presence of anti-Angiotensin II Type 1 Receptor (AT1R) antibodies in 83 Heart Mate II (HMII) recipients who were implanted at our institution between 2008 and 2012 and survived the first 60 days. On-device survival and device malfunction, major infection, major bleeding and neurologic dysfunction were compared between antibody positive and antibody negative recipients. Out of a total...

Total frame torsional rigidity is compared with those of Formula Ford and with other variants of Formula Student.

Specific problems in working with seniors
ZELENÁ, Ivana
The bachelor thesis is focusing on specific problems apperaring in the work with seniors. The theoretical part is about aging, needs and changes associated with it, about the seniors themselves and their families. Some possible problematic situations appearing in the care of seniors are analysed in detail. The theoretical part describes also the stress experienced by the social workers. The target of the practical part is to find the most common problems met by the social service workers in their work with the elderly. And to analyze the positives and negatives which the social service workers see in their job.

Analysis of the influence of minimum wage on unemployment and its development in the Czech republic and in the chosen countries of European union in 2000 - 2015
Schwabová, Petra ; Loužek, Marek (advisor) ; Řežábek, Pavel (referee)
This thesis analyzes minimum wage, its development, determination and influence on increasing or decreasing of employment in the Czech rebublic and in the other countries of European union. It starts with determination of theoretical background of minimum wage, economical models that deals with the impact of minimum wage on employment and czech and foreign papers concerning relevant topic. In the analytical part, the thesis concerns characteristics of the system of minimum wages in particular countries of European union and their comparison. In the last part of the thesis, econometrical model was done. The aim was to find out if any of determined variables have impact on total unemployment rate in the Czech republic. Model was performed with statistical data from 2000 to 2015. The impact of some variables was proved, for example number of university graduates that have negative influence on total employment in the Czech republic.

Vliv stresu vyvolaného suchem na révu vinnou a kvalitu hroznů
Juga, Petr
The aim of the thesis was studing the problems of stress induced by drought on grapevines and quality of the grapes. In the first two chapters is described the morphology of grapevine and stress in plants. Further is described abscisic acid, which is referred to as the regulator in water management and its physiological effects on grapevine. In the next chapter are processed the information about the effects of stress on grapevine physiology. Drought stress manifests itself by stopping the growth of the shoots and roots, reduced intake of nutrients and effect on ripening. From the perspective of biochemistry changes occur in the berries. It is characterized by positive but also negative effects. Positively manifests in blue varieties synthesis of dyes and tannins. On the other hand, negatively manifests in the early varieties, there is concealment varietal aroma, bitter taste and occurrence of UTA. In the last chapter are recommended for cultural interventions to eliminate stress from drought. The most appropriate way to reduce stress is the acquisition and use of drip irrigation in the vineyard. Next ways are correct selection of grass and soil processing, adequate load shrubs and well made green works.

Biomechanical study of the effect of various leg length to stress skeleton
Novotný, Lukáš ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The key role of this thesis deals with providing light on the influence of unequal length of limbs in particular with legs and the stress it might leave on human body parts, possibilities and ways of its reparation. As per the research conducted in the first chapter which allows to get an insight and summary about the issues and also provides information related to unequal length of lower limbs and hardships involved. The following part explains the basics of anatomy related to unequal length of legs and solution of force interaction in the hip joint. Suitable attention is dedicated to the influence of unequal leg length and equalization of unequal length legs. A separate part of the thesis is devoted to the effect of unequal lower limb on contact pressure between the femoral head and the hip joint. Computational analysis of the contact pressures using final elements method in computing software Ansys Workbench 16.2 proved a negative impact of uneven length of lower limbs to stress on the hip joint.

Proteome and Metabolome Changes in Selected Organisms under Stress
Halienová, Andrea ; Kráčmar, Stanislav (referee) ; Čertík, Milan (referee) ; Šucman, Emanuel (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
Living conditions of every organism are influenced by various factors at this time. Some of them have positive effect on organism, some negative. Basic condition for surviving is the ability to resist and adapt to changing metabolic and living conditions. Every single stress effect can lead to changes in metabolism but organisms have ability to develope sufficient mechanisms for stress response. Some of them are similar for all living organisms (enzyme production, endogenous primary stress metabolites) some of them are specific for certain organism or stress type. Cell stress response can be observed on different levels (proteomic, genomic, metabolomic). In proper conditions it can be used indrustrially. In this work, influences of various stress factors were studied. These factors were applied on selected organisms – carotenogenic yeast and plant materials. Yeast stress response was induced by osmotic and oxidation stress factors. Changes on proteomic level and in production of selected secondary metabolites were observed. Proteome was analyzed by 1D and 2D electrophoresis with subsequent analysis of proteins by mass spectrometry. Yeast strain Rhodotorula glutinis CCY 20-2-26 showed the best adaptation to stress factors, which was moreover accompanied by overproduction of carotenoids. This finding can be premise for next industrial production of carotenoids. In plant samples predominantly enzymes and metabolites involved in antioxidant response were studied.

Hüttl, Ondřej ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis firstly consists of an analysis and a description of materials suitable for construction of loudspeaker enclosures and a design of the loudspeaker system with the enclosure made of a synthetic stone. Electro – acoustics drivers have been described with a focus to a frequency range, a principle and a construction for an explanation of their function. Drivers based on electrodynamic principle have been described closely. An analysis of materials used for the loudspeaker enclosure production has been done and tradicional and alternative materials have been described as well. Specific modulus, density and stiffness have been taken as an objective evaluative criterion. An evaluation indicates appropriate properties of plastic, aluminum and stone based materials. The function and kinds of loudspeaker enclosures have been described. The function, properties and design of a vented box loudspeaker system have been described closely. The last part of this thesis is individual design of a two-way vented box loudspeaker system with the enclosure made of synthetic stone. A simulation of a driver behavior built in the enclosure and compensation circuits and crossovers design and simulation have been done. The enclosure has been designed with high stress to minimize negative effect of the enclosure to the final sound quality.
