GSM Module for Wireless Sensor Networks
Mayer, Jan ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Horáček, Jan (advisor)
Main goal of this project is to achieve communication between user and distant wireless sensor network using GSM technology. This task will be accomplished by connecting Crossbow Iris wireless sensor node and Teltonika GSM module device. Communication itself will be provided by sending/receiving SMS and connecting platform to remote server over the internet using GPRS technology.
Evaluation of Biometric System - Eye Iris Technology
Mlčoch, Luboš ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Dittrich, Petr (advisor)
This thesis briefly describes basic biometric terms, a brief history of biometrics, biometric system and its performance and characteristics. Basic principles of iris recognition technology are also discussed. Finally, this thesis describes tests performed on various iris recognition systems and sums up the results.
Agent-Based Monitoring of Wireless Sensor Networks
Houšť, Marek ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The reader is first introduced with history and possible applications for wireless sensor networks. The thesis then describes the problems of wireless sensor networks and implementation tools for wireless sensor networks. The thesis also presents the system WSageNt and its client web interface. Practical part is based on the design of agent elements. Describes gradual implementation, testing and practical realization of these agent elements in the system WSageNt. The final part discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the project and identifies possible future expansion of the system.
Web Interface for Wireless Network Monitoring
Gábor, Martin ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze, design and create the architecture of the WSageNt system web interface. The main focus of the system will be traffic monitoring and topology control of the network. The work describes basic technologies, design principles and implementation methods.
Generation of Cryptographic Key from Eye Biometric Features
Semerád, Lukáš ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The main topic of the thesis is creation of formulas for the amount of information entropy in biometric characteristics of iris and retina. This field of science in biometrics named above is unstudied yet, so the thesis tries to initiate research in this direction. The thesis also discusses the historical context of security and identification fields according to biometric characteristics of a human being with an overlap for potential usage in biometrics of iris and retina. The Daugman’s algorithm for converting iris image into the binary code which can be used as a cryptographic key is discussed in detail. An application implementing this conversion is also a part of the thesis.
Multibiometric System Combining Iris and Retina
Janečka, Petr ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Mráček, Štěpán (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on multibiometric systems, specifically on biometric fusion. The thesis describes eye biometrics, i.e. recognition based on retina and iris. The key part consists of design and implementation specification of a biometric system based on retina and iris recognition.
Person identification by iris
Čermák, Peter ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
This work deals with biometric methods, with close aiming to identification men by the iris. It describes origins of biometric and its application in present days. It contains overview of the most used and also less known biometric methods and systems. Next aim of this work is proposal of hardware sensor of iris and simple practice of image processing
Processing of iris images for biometric applications
Osičková, Kristýna ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Biometrics is a method of recognizing the identity of a person based on unique biological characteristics that are unique to each person. The methods of biometric identification is currently becoming increasingly widespread in various sectors. This work is focused on the identification of a person by iris images. The introductory section describes the principles of the well-known methods for biometric applications and the next part describes the design method and its implementation in Matlab. In the practical part, fast radial symmetry method is used for detection of pupil, from which it derives further image processing. Two dimensional discrete welvet transform is used here. The proposed algorithm is tested on databases CASIA-Iris- Interval and database IITD.
Computational analysis of pressurized water reactor core behaviour using PARCS code
Novotný, Filip ; Ing. Jan Frýbort, Ph.D., KJR FJFI ČVUT v Praze (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
The Master Thesis performs search concerning advanced small and medium power light-water reactors’ designs, including different possibilities to gain a license for their development and operation. The work covers the principal theory about the area of neutronics calculations, principal equations and simplifications. There are several different methods for solution of neutronics calculations. The thesis gives an overview of two principal groups of codes – deterministic methods and Monte Carlo method. The survey shows computational codes examples based on mentioned methods. The computational code PARCS is chosen for further study, which contained description of the input and output file, process of the model creation and conditions for neutronics calculation the of selected reactor design. Based on these facts, the transient calculation has been prepared within the thesis. Thee analyses are described – reactor emergency shutdown, reactor shutdown with stuck group of control and emergency shutdown rods and reactor shutdown with faulty reaction of emergency shutdown rods.
