Uniform Marker Fields for Android
Salát, Marek ; Szentandrási, István (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with a desing and an implementation of a detector for Uniform Marker Fields and a debugging appliaction for Android mobile devices. Implementation comes with alternativ methods in considiration of original solution, suitable for low-performance devices. The main goal of detector is find a position and a rotation of marker module or alternatively a position of the camera in real space. The resulting soulution can be also used as a library for the marker module detection or as a core for augmented reality based application using Uniform Marker Fields.

Flat Design Using Augmented Reality
Tuška, David ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This master's thesis is dealing with the usage of augmented reality for a layout of a flat proposition. The aim of this work is to create a system which detects markers on the walls using ARToolKit library. The position of the used in flat is determined by using the markers. Then the system disposes the user's position for operate with a camera in a 3D modelling program called Google SkretchUp. The system is consisted of a server and a client part. The server one copes with the incoming video in which it detects the markers and evaluates the position of user by the help of the markers. The client part of the system is represented by a plugin module for 3D modelling program Google SkretchUp. A client is asking the server for the positions of the user in the flat model and consequently he set the camera in the program Google SkretchUp according to these positions. The client is also asking for the individual pictures from the video which he shows against the background of Google SketchUp and thanks to this, he creates a view of a real scene extended of virtual objects.
Augmented Reality in CAVE
Detection of Deformable Marker Field
Schery, Miroslav ; Szentandrási, István (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This Thesis is focused on study of augmented reality and creation of algorithm for a uniform marker field detector. The marker field is modified to be tolerant to a high degree of deformation. Existing marker types are studied. Important part of the paper is a description of uniform marker field technique, from which a modified assignment is derived. It also describes CUDA architecture on which the first part of the detection algorithm is implemented. Deformation tolerance, detection rate and speed tests are performed on the resulting detector algorithm.
Uniform Marker Field on a Cylinder
Kříž, Radim ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This work presents a new extension for Uniform Marker Field, which is able to detect UMF on the cylinder. First part of the text deals with Augmented reality and focuses on systems using markers. It discusses the actual state-of-the-art systems and its possibilities. After that it focuses more deeply on the marker system Uniform marker field and its grayscale variants. Next part of the work describes properties of the cylinder projected in real space. Important properties for detecting are discussed in detail. Then the proposal and description of detection algorithm is presented. Implementation of algorithm is tested and evaluated on the very end of this thesis.
Detector of Uniform Marker Fields for Windows Phone
Mašek, Jiří ; Szentandrási, István (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the detection of Uniform Marker Fields and the position of a camera in a space. The steps of the UMF detection, the Windows Phone 8 platform, DirectX working and the concept of augmented reality are described in the thesis. Implementation and design of the demo application together with the whole architecture of the project is described in the thesis. The result of the thesis is an application using the UMF detector and plotting a 3D object into a scene. Finally the application is tested and evaluated.
Methods for searching and documenting optical cables
Havliš, Ondřej ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is a description of searching for optical cables with metallic elements and EMS markers below the earth surface by suitable method and the possibility of recording and documentation of optical cables in a geographic information system ArcGIS. In the beginning there is a mention of an optical cable in particular of its the most important part, which is an optical fiber. Further there is the purpose what the optical fiber in the telecommunications world of techniques was developed for. Then there are the various advantages of the optical fiber described. This project also deals with the various methods of searching the optical cables using metallic elements. It is a called Galvanic and Inductive method, which are used to search for the optical cable by using the enclosed metallic lines, which, with the proper connection to a receiver, generates electromagnetic fields around. Another way to search the fiber optic cable is realized by the EMS markers. There are various types of passive electronic tags described. These electronic passive tags are manufactured in different color, which is used for marking the various branches of networks. There is the possibility of documentation of the optical cables by using ArcGIS geographic system from ERSI mentioned in the project. There is its structure and func-tion of individual subprograms in detail described. In the chapter GSM there is an analysis of operating principle of the system. At the end of this thesis the laboratory task is suggested. It describes the searching for fiber optic cable and the other metallic circuits by passive markers and iD markers.
Comparison of architectures of MIB system databases designed for QoS management in data networks
Jelínek, Tomáš ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with Diffserv mechanism for Quality of Service in data network and goes through several parts of structure MIB database for managing Diffserv mechanism. The first chapter is introduction. I explain SNMP protocol in the second chapter. In the third chapter I deal with Quality of Service (QoS) and in the next chapter I explain Diffserv mechanism and its architecture. In fifth chapter I present possibilities of using Policy Information Base (PIB). I show several parts of MIB database in the sixth chapter. I compare two parts of MIB database and summary whole work in the last chapter.
Application of ArcGIS Program in Telecommunication Networks
Štohanzl, Pavel ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issues of locating and marking both metalic and optical transmission network. The choice of an appropriate program for creation and management of map document is discussed. In the following chapter some necessary adjustments to the ArcGIS ArcView program are made so that it is applicable to the field of telecommunication networks. The last chapter addresses the design of documentation options in optical transmission network. For metalic cables the possibilities of attaching transmitter to a cable and locating the induced magnetic field is covered. Among the methods for finding optical cables we list ways of locating through the use of markers, GPS location and added metalic conductors. Fundamentals of markers and their types are thoroughly analysed. In the chapter on GPS we examine how this system works and evaluate its accuracy. The next chapter enumerates requirements that a program should meet. We analyse properties of considered programs and evaluate them with respect to these requirements. For a chosen program the possibilities of enriching it with selected map document are discussed. For these map document, information about their applicability and source is presented. We also quote the cost for these maps wherever possible. The last chapter treats ways of documenting optical networks.
