The main focus of this thesis is the breakdown of the economy and development of a chosen faculty hospital, specifically the Faculty Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first describes the goal of this thesis, and the general methodology of the financial analysis. The second part of this thesis describes the legislative ramifications of the healthcare system of the Czech Republic, the methods of the financing of its healthcare equipment, a comparison with selected faculty hospitals, and the investment growth in the Faculty Hospital of Kralovske Vinohrady. In this part we will také a closer look at the Traumacentrum project, which the previous management of this hospital meant to put into effect. This project required the building of a whole new wing, which would also have heightened the effectiveness of the various individual parts of this hospital. The project has not been realized yet due to lack of suitable funds. The last part of this thesis focuses on the analytical breakdown of this hospital, using risk analysis, SWOT analysis, and its own financial analysis. From these results a set of measures was gathered, the application of which could improve the state of the healthcare

Decision-making in the state administration
Dufek, David ; Brožová, Helena (advisor) ; Ivana, Ivana (referee)
The practical part deals with public contract for completion of primary school construction. The decision to do it or not will be based on statistical analysis of selected demographic indicators, in particular city, using time series during the period from 1991 to 2013 and the prognosis for the following three years. The theoretical part of this thesis presents individual demographic characteristics, methods for determining weights and criteria for supplier selection, using appropriate decision-making models. In the practical part of thesis the demographic situation is analyzed using data obtained from ČSÚ and the town. The construction company for the completion of the building of primary school will be chosen using decision-making models and the lender to ensure that the financing of this project will be also chosen. The results of the analysis show that the population along with the number of children in the city increases, and a further rise could be predicted for the period 2014- 2016. Afterwards, the selected individual suppliers are chosen and the recommendation of the leadership of the Town Council is compiled, leading to a better selection of suppliers.

Automation of Exoscopic Analysis Using Image Processing of Sedimentary Grains Acquired by Electron Microscope
Křupka, Aleš ; Křížek,, Marek (referee) ; Baroňák, Ivan (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis deals with image analysis methods which can be exploited in exoscopic analysis of sedimentary grains, specifically for the purpose of distinguishing between geomorphologic geneses which influenced a form of sedimentary grains. The images of sedimentary grains were acquired by a scanning electron microscope. The main contribution is the proposal of multiple methods that can significantly automate the exoscopic analysis. These methods cover the automatic segmentation of grains in image, the automatic analysis of roundness of 2D grain projection and the classification of geomorphologic geneses according to the grain surface structure. In the section concerning the automatic segmentation, a segmentation method enabling an easy subsequent manual result correction was proposed. This method is based on the split-and-merge approach. The individual steps the procedure were designed to exploit specific properties of sedimentary grain images in order to obtain the best segmentation results. In the section concerning the automatic roundness analysis of 2D projection of sedimentary grains, an influence of pixel resolution on a result roundness value was evaluated. Further, a minimal number of grains, which is necessary to analyze in order to reliably compare a pair of geomorphological geneses, was investigated. For the determination of this number, a method was proposed and experimentally verified. In the section of automatic analysis of sedimentary grain surface structure, a method for classification of geomorphologic geneses was proposed. The method utilizes low-level texture features which describes individual images of sedimentary grains. A model of geomorphological genesis is constituted of a set of histograms representing occurrences of different configurations of low-level texture features. The methods proposed in the thesis were tested and evaluated based on a database, which consists of sedimentary grain samples from 4 different geomorphological geneses (eolic, glacial, slope and volcanic).
