Synergic effects of laser – TIG welding
Kubíček, J. ; Doležal, P. ; Mrňa, Libor ; Šebestová, Hana ; Horník, Petr
Laser welding compared to conventional arc methods is accompanied by rapid cooling rates. It can lead to the formation of undesirable microstructure of the weld metal and heat affected zone of some steel grades which has a negative impact on their mechanical properties. The preheating is quite problematic because of high speed of laser welding. The possibility of preheating by the heat of the arc discharge of the associated TIG burner has been tested. Precise holder has been fabricated to fix the burner to the laser welding head allowing TIG electrode positioning towards the laser beam and the workpiece. A number of high strength steel S460MC and S700MC welding experiments was performed. The effect of TIG current on microstructural changes has been proven. Some welding experiments were compared to the SYSWELD welding simulations.\n
Survey and Diagnostics of Building Construction
Haloun, Jan ; Cikrle, Petr (referee) ; Anton, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of the first part of this bachelor thesis covers the methods of diagnostics of reinforced concrete constructions and their practical application. In the theoretical part are described the methods currently used with diagnostics of reinforced concrete constructions with focus on methods used in practical part. The practical part covers the survey of reinforced concrete constructions and its evaluation. The main objects of the practical part were the detection of the strength class of concrete and real reinforcement of certain elements.
Reactive powder composites and cement composites without macropores
Panenková, Monika ; Hela,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design principles and manifacture of ultra performance concrete (UHPC), reactive powder composites (RPC) and other fine-grained materials, such as Macro defect free (MDF) or Densified systems with small particles (DSP). Theoretical part of this work is focused on the requirements of properties and composition UHPC and RPC and methodology of their design principles. Experimental part describes design principles RPC, manufacture of test specimens, testing of certain physical and mechanical properties, such as tensile strenght, bending strenght and compressive strenght and determination chemical character X-ray and thermal analysis.
Influence of dispersed particles on utility properties od polyvinyl alcohol-based nanotextiles: macromechanical properties
Rácová, Z. ; Nežerka, V. ; Ryparová, Pavla ; Kromka, Alexander ; Tesárek, Pavel
The paper deals with the influence of different dispersed particles on utility properties of polyvinyl-alcohol (PVA) based nanofiber textiles. The purpose of the dispersed particles was to produce textiles of antibacterial character, and these were added into water-polymer solution, which was used for electrospinning in two various ways: in form of copper and silver ions, or in form of diamond nanoparticles. In order to assess the strength of textiles, macromechanical testing of modified PVA-based nanofiber textiles was carried out on samples with variable weight per area in range between 0.5 and 5 g/m(2). The obtained results were compared with the results of measurements on plain reference samples. The study revealed that the addition of silver ions causes the strength and stiffness reduction, the addition of copper ions has an opposite effect, while the diamond nanoparticles did not have any significant influence on the mechanical properties.\n
Utilization of waste glass in cement composites
Gottwaldová, Aneta ; Dufka, Amos (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the processing of waste glass in cement composites. Bachelor thesis includes a search theoretical and experimental part. Specifically, it was verified by fluorescent waste glass and glass screen at a dose of 5, 10, 15 and 20 weight % of a batch of cement. Properties of composites were examined after 7, 28, 56 and 90 days. We monitored TG analysis and XRD analysis of cement composites with waste glass.
Analysis of the mechanical properties of plastic parts realized by 3D printing
Krejbychová, Adéla ; Benešovský, Marek (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of mechanical quantities of PET-G samples which were created by using 3D printing. The problem was solved experimentally. The samples were printed by using the FDM technology (Fused Deposition Modeling). Mechanical properties were measured by the tensile test and the measured quantities were further analyzed statistically. The influence of the pigment, the material manufacturer and the effect of setting the process parameters on the actual construction of the samples were investigated. On the basis of the carried out analyses it was discovered that the samples printed horizontally in the XY plane with a 45° / -45° fill angle from Devil Design had the best mechanical properties.
Mechanical properties of glass fibers
Ševnina, Marija Vladimirovna ; Svěrák, Tomáš (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the examination of mechanical properties of unsized glass fibers and commercially sized glass fibers. The main objective is to determine the tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, and ductility for the fibers depending on the surface modification. To determine these properties, fiber diameters were measured using an Olympus BX 50 optical microscope followed by a tensile test on the Universal Testing Machine, ZWICK / Z010 / TH2A.
Force ductility of asphalt binders
Smolka, Zdeněk ; Coufalík, Pavel (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes a laboratory characteristics of bituminous binders. There will be described the principle and results of laboratory tests, needle penetration, softening point by ring and ball and force ductility. The tests will be performed on samples of the bituminous binders with different degrees of modification.
Preparation and properties of Bioglass based foam materials
Nedbalová, Radka ; Hadraba, Hynek (referee) ; Dlouhý, Ivo (advisor)
The work deals with the preparation and mechanical properties of coated Bioglass® 45S5 based foam materials with open porosity. The samples have been fabricated applying the replication method with use of polyurethane foam. Furthermore, these samples were coated in order to increase the strength characteristics and crack resistance. Polyvinylalcohol and PVA with cellulose microfibrils have been used as coating. Besides microstructural parameters of investigated materials using the SEM images strength characteristics in compression and in tension were also quantified.
Static verification and variant design of load-carrying structures of administrative center
Fabiánová, Lucie ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to develop assessments of existing supporting structure of a rectangular object and design of new options for rectangular and cylindrical object administrative center in the Jihomoravská plynárenská, a.s. in Brno. According to the task have been recalculated construction and design of new structures in accordance with applicable standards. New design of both buildings (rectangular and cylindrical) came from several studies.
