Residential Complex in Brno - Komín
Krajan, Viktor ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
Architecture, emanating from philosophy of design, shows the concept of arrangement of eight volumes with a free pattern which generates the maximum amount of open and light space. Structure of the plot is composed of seven apartment buildings and solitary villa. Design of residential complex consists of clear line of public and semi-public space, which complements urbanism of this design. Mass of objects respects the surrounding scale and thereby does not interfere with the surrounding nature and buildings. Functional filling includes a residential function with using of the surrounding area. The layout of the building is designed as a three tracts with four above-ground floors and one underground floor. In the first three above-ground floors are designed two housing units and in a fourth above-ground floor is one housing unit. Architecture in the era of housing crisis
Mičková, Pavla ; Ježková, Tereza (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis is based on a pre-diploma project that focused on different approaches to solving the housing crisis. It was based on the evaluation of information on current trends in housing, but also on the history of global and local solutions to the problem. This was followed by the selection of a location suitable for the design of a residential complex. I focused on the Brno brownfields. The area in question belongs to the development locations of Brno, so a new attractive district should be created in its immediate vicinity in the future, to which I decided to respond. The goal of the proposed urban planning part was to connect and make the selected plot as accessible as possible in connection with the proposed development in the vicinity. The solution to the traffic situation in the locality and the connection of existing roads with newly proposed ones became part of the work. The proposal itself is then carried out in the spirit of respect for the given territory and the use of participatory housing to solve the crisis. The proposal consists of several parts, the aim of which is to fill existing gaps, replace unsuitable objects and find a way to use the complicatedly shaped brownfield. In the final design, I am trying to create pleasant housing near the city center, which is surrounded by greenery, responds to current needs, saves energy and is a response to the housing crisis.

The thesis consists in a technical report pertaining to the construction technology plan, evaluation of transport routes, technological regulation for the cast-in-place reinforced concrete floor above 1PP and a time schedule for rough construction. Also elaborated are construction site equipment including a drawing and text part, a control and test plan, itemized budget with bill of quantities for rough construction, design of machine sets and work safety solutions are elaborated.

Matyášová, Jana ; Vaishar, Antonín (referee) ; Wittmann, Maxmilian (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
Residential satisfaction is a part of the social pillar sustainable development. An investigation of satisfaction can contribute to designing of such residential estates that will better satisfy their needs towards overall life satisfaction. Overall life satisfaction underpins the prosperous and generally satisfied society. This work deals with the relationship between the urban structure and the satisfaction of the residents living there. To describe this relationship, it is necessary to define the terms urban structure and residential satisfaction. The research block shall be based on theoretical grounds and overview of urban structures. The theoretical block deals with the historical overview and development of urban structures in the city of Brno and Vienna since the mid-19th century to the present. Based on this knowledge, locations for case studies of the residential estates have been selected subsequently to represent various urban structures. A local survey, questionnaire survey and interviews with residents took place in the residential estates selected in this way. The result of the research some of questions answers and asks some other ones, because the residential satisfaction is a relative consideration and not an exactly expressible value. It is also conditional on many factors that cannot be managed in this work. It is evident that the compact city may not be well-functioning if it is not in the central part of the city and the relative success of the of the open building line of the prefab estates compared to compact sets nearby city centers has been also a surprising result. However, some other assumptions have been confirmed.

This diploma thesis deals with urban studies on the territory of Svitavy river in Brno-Husovice. Part of the solved territory is defined as a brownfield - specifically, it is a former Zetor site. New backbone roads are proposed in the defined area, new residential complexes that integrate the area into the surrounding area. In the north of the proposed area, I propose the Park & Ride Park House at the large city ring road in Brno. The proposal also includes the creation of recreational areas - near the embankment, a city park is set up near the Provazníkova road. An interesting feature is the creation of a public space shielded from traffic.
