Usage of reclaimed asphalt pavement in stone mastic asphalt
Coufalíková, Iva ; Katarína, Bačová (referee) ; Fišer,, Jiří (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
The dissertation deals with the possibilities of adding recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) to the stone mastic asphalt (SMA), which is increasingly being promoted due to its good resistance to permanent deformations and high traffic load. Thanks to the use of high-quality input materials in production, this is a valuable material source. The theoretical part describes composition of SMA mixture and problems of pavement recycling. The practical part deals with SMA 11S laboratory designs with RAP ratio of 0 to 50%. Based on these suggestions, a trial section with 17 variants was placed, which varied with the content and quality of the RAP and the used additives. All variants have been subjected to functional testing not only on mixtures but also on recovered binders. The results obtained during the dissertation were used to build a certified methodology named "Methodology of application RAP to Stone Mastic Asphalt." In conclusion, the results of the dissertation are summarized.
Czech Hip Hop Subculture: Construction of Authenticity in Czech Rap Music
Oravcová, Anna ; Kolářová, Marta (advisor) ; Heřmanský, Martin (referee) ; Vašát, Petr (referee)
Bibliografický záznam ORAVCOVÁ, Anna. Česká hiphopová subkultura: konstrukce autenticity v českém rapu. Praha, 2019. 171 s. Dizertační práce (Ph.D.) Univerzita Karlova, Fakulta sociálních věd, Institut sociologických studií. Katedra sociologie. Školitelka: PhDr. Marta Kolářová, Ph.D. Abstract The dissertation focuses on the construction of authenticity in Czech rap music. It seeks to explore attributes based on which one can define a certain rap expression as the "real" one. The theoretical part includes the definition of the term subculture, main attributes of hip hop (sub)culture, and the definition of authenticity, the key concept of the dissertation. In dialogue with the findings of the hip hop studies of Western countries, this dissertation looks at the authenticity claims expressed in Czech rap music and the context and situations in which the question of authenticity of Czech rappers becomes important. The empirical part of the dissertation is based on the perspective of the insider research using a combination of qualitative methods: (1) semi structured interviews with twenty rappers (one of them female); (2) qualitative content analysis of selected rap lyrics; and (3) participant observation at different hip hop events. The research took place between 2010 and 2016. The research shows that Czech...

Dosage of rejuvenating agents to asphalt mixture with high content of RAP
Čumíčková, Markéta ; Coufalíková, Iva (referee) ; Dašek, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the appropriate dosage of rejuvenating agents in asphalt mixtures with high content of RAP. The empirical and functional laboratory tests are described in the theoretical part. The practical part deals with the estimation of the optimal amount of rejuvenating agents by means of laboratory tests so that the rheological properties of the degraded asphalt binder can be restored by suitable dosing into the RAP. As part of the TAČR ZÉTA project, an experimental section of asphalt mixture containing 50 % of the RAP and an appropriate amount of the rejuvenating agents was created. The aim of the thesis is to find an optimal dosage of the rejuvenating agents in the samples of the RAP and laboratory aged asphalt binder of gradation 50/70, to determine the effectiveness of selected rejuvenating agents and to monitor changes in the parameters of the experimental section during the period of time.

Bittnerová, Tereza ; Radimecký, Josef (advisor) ; Šejvl, Jaroslav (referee)
Background: Drug use and drug related topics appear in many aspects of today's life. They found their way into our culture, among others into music, where it is without a doubt that some songs, whole works of artists or even music styles were influenced by the existence of drugs and their effects. Aim: The aim of the first part of this thesis is to describe the relationship between substances and three biggest styles of modern music - jazz, rock and rap. Methods: Quantitative method was used for this research. The drug related lyrics were coded into several categories using content analysis. 590 songs from 43 albums were analysed in total. Results: The research has shown that in 56,6% (334) of the songs drug related topics appeared. Out of 886 mentions, the most reoccurring one was alcohol (46,1 %), followed by general terms for drugs (22 %) and cannabis (17,2 %). Out of illegal substances marihuana appeared most often. Among other mentions that appeared less often (under 3,5 % per category) were tobacco products, medicine,...
Recycled material in Stone mastic asphalts
Machel, Ondřej ; Coufalíková, Iva (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of adding s Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) to the wearing courses of asphalt mixtures, particularly of the SMA 11S type. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part is focused on the topic in general and it describes the way it is obtained, stored and used with the help of the hot recycling method. The practical part's focus are two mixtures used for laboratory testing, containing 30 % and 50 % RAP of the SMA type. It includes information about the test section, description of the mixture production and of the tests performed and it provides commentary on their results. Finally, the results are compared with the SMA 11S reference mix without RAP.
Prosodic analysis of urban music in French and Czech
Chodaková, Polina ; Duběda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dommergues, Jean-Yves (referee) ; Polická, Alena (referee)
in English TITLE : Prosodic Analysis of Urban Music in French and Czech AUTHOR : Mgr. Polina Chodaková DEPARTMENT : Institute of Romance Studies FF UK SUPERVISORS : doc. PhDr. Tomáš Duběda, Ph.D., prof. Philippe Martin, Dr ès Sci, Dr Ling. KEY WORDS : Prosody, metrics, stress, intonation, declamation, rap, reggae This thesis deals with the rhythm, stress and intonation in rap and reggae music. It describes the form features of declamations which combine chant, half- singing and singing, in the theoretical framework of contrastive prosody and verse theory. The thesis consists of seven chapters and is based on a textual corpus of 200 songs in French and Czech, assembled for this dissertation. The linguistic material of 59,000 syllables is a representative set of excerpts, transcribed in rhythmic grids with an auditive analysis. From the prosodic point of view, rap and reggae display an important degree of rhythmic reorganisation. In both languages, setting texts to music is performed ac- cording to an isochronous pattern, which is imposed on the lyrics with an isosyllabic rhythm and whose bound stress system is weak. This is shown through interactive constraints, which reflect universal tendencies in verbal art, that both genres exhibit a lot of freedom in the association of lyrics and the musical...
