Analysis of Natural Opium Abusing ? Questionnare study.

My thesis concerns the problems with the natural opium abuse in the population of problematic users within the area of Ostrava. The results were gained with questionnaires filled out by clients of Contact Center (CC) Renarkon in Ostrava and by clients who exploit the fieldwork programmes of CC Renarkon in area of Ostrava and Nový Jičín. It was collected forty-eight results of clients. On the basis of these results, I found out that the opium was used by people at the age of 19-38 years, more than half of them were men (85,4 per cent), the rest was women (14,6 per cent ). Almost a half of respondents (45,8 per cent) lived with parents. One third of clients have reached basic education, 35,4 per cent clients have technical education without the school-leaving exam. Almost 35,0 per cent of clients were unemployed. More than half of all the clients (54,2 per cent) were examined for hepatitis with negative results. The half of all clients (54,2 per cent) were tested for HIV with negative results in all the cases. The number of the clients who had been treated for addiction before was 12,5 per cent, now it was only one client. 1 Abstract Muelleriosis in mouflon populations bred in game enclosures - efficacy evalution of used anthelmintic control programmes Veronika Pavlíková In this work we evaluate the effect of several control anthelmintic programmes bent against muelleriosis in mouflon breeds. We realized the programmes in the years 1996 - 2007 in three game parks (Rozpakov, Vlkov, and Vřísek). In Vřísek we engaged in the programme a Bezoar Goat too, infected by lungworm Muellerius capillaris as well, but we treated it separately. We have checked-up animal's health by the help of larvoscopy, using modified Baermann's method; the LPG values (number of L1 larvae in 1 gram of faeces) of lungworm Muellerius capillaris. We used anthelmintics of benzimidazoles group; flubendazole in dosage scheme 3 x 15 mg/kg of body weight and albendazole in dosage scheme 5 x 3 mg/kg of body weight, 5 x 5 mg/kg of body weight and 5 x 7,5 mg/kg of body weight. We were administered by medicated feed. Mouflons in Rozpakov were treated very intensively according to repeatedly determined LPG values, in Vlkov we went in for regular medication two times in a year, regardless of LPG values and the programme in Vřísek failed, sporadic drug administrations were realized only. Epistemologic limits of selected approaches to language

The aim of this text is to comment and critically evaluate the epistemology of selected approaches to language: namely European structuralism (Saussure, Hjelmslev, Prague School), generative grammar, the linguistics of la parole and text linguistics and cognitive approaches to language. In particular, the aim is to comment epistemological limits of these approaches with regards to the two basic facts. Firstly, with regard to the fact that what these approaches define as their object field is in fact only a partial section of the whole subject field of linguistics (looked upon through the purposes of this work as a specifically structured communication model). Secondly, this text will investigate the relations between these approaches and an important claim of the philosopher of science T. S. Kuhn. Kuhn in his widely known book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions says: "There is, I think, no theory-independent way to reconstruct phrases like ‚really there'." (Kuhn, 1970, p. 206). That means whether claims based on epistemology of particular approaches describe objective reality or only give us a description of their own theoretical constructs.

Approximate solution of Unconstrained influence diagrams

We give an introduction to the theory of probabilistic graphical models and describe several types of them (Bayesian Networks - BN, Influence Diagrams - ID, Unconstrained Influence Diagrams - UID). Unconstrained Influence Diagrams support the possibility for the user to choose the ordering of decisions based on observations. This increases the expressive power of UIDs compared to IDs but makes it harder to find an optimal solution. It is often impossible to find an optimal solution because of exponential complexity increase compared to IDs. Therefore we design and investigate several approximate methods to solve UIDs. The result of these methods is an ordinary ID created from the former UID by adding edges. The optimal solution of the ID should be as close to the original UID as possible. Heuristical methods represent one type of the methods investigated. Heuristical methods use a simplification of the optimal algorithm. During the run of the algorithm heuristics are used to cut off the branches that are not perspective for further calculation. Another type of methods is to create the ID directly. We evaluate our methods experimentally based on randomly generated UIDs of three types and compare their performance namely to the optimal solution and to equally complex random methods.

Sametová revoluce v Československu v roce 1989 změnila téměř vše a všechny. Politické a ekonomické změny šly ruku v ruce s těmi společenskými a kulturními. Měnil se a mění se životní styl Čechů. Ti začali vyhledávat nové možnosti - pracovní i osobní. Hranice země se otevřely, jak pro lidi přicházející ze zahraničí, tak pro Čechy vyjíždějící do ciziny. Vstup ČR do Evropské unie pak tento trend ještě podpořil, ulehčil formální i praktickou stránku pobytu v řadě evropských zemí a zařadil ČR do skupiny prosperujících zemí. Češi stále více hledají studijní či pracovní uplatnění mtmo svou zemi a využívají mnoha programů i pracovních kontraktů. Nejezdí ovšem jen do Německa, Rakouska či na britské ostrovy, ale také - i když méně často - např. do zemí Jižní Ameriky a Asie. Téměř každý mladý člověk buď sám do zahraničí na delší pobyt vyjel nebo zná někoho, kdo tak učinil. Tento jev tedy není výjimkou. VY.imeme-li však pro Čechy vždy atraktivní západní Evropu, USA a Kanadu, odmyslíme-li si občanský sektor a jeho mise, zůstává ještě určitá oblast, kam se Češi vydávají za prací. Střední Východ. Konkrétně pak země Perského zálivu. Spolupráce s těmito zeměmi probíhala i během socialismu. Vyjíždělo sem však jen velmi malé procento lidí - obvykle vědců, lékařů a případně těch, kteří pracovali v politicko-obchodních službách...

Theory and Practice with Children with Specific Needs

Bad succes of children is one of the most common topics of pedagogical and psychological literature in all the civilizated countries. Since sixties experts hav realised that the remedy oťall kinds of defects shouldn't be orientated only on children's behaviour, but on their globál condition. This should be an importatnt turnaround. Since then vve don't use a term: "disorder", byt vve ťocus on iťs solution itselť. For example vvhat to do vvhen a pupil switches letters while vvriting, has problems with reading, or even is difficult to control, cheats, steals things. My essay could be a kong of motivation to give the children more time, trying to get to knovv them better. The most imortatnt thing is chilďs sociál situation and iťs position in group, family, school. We should also try to fing out its way of communication. Iťs neccesary to communicate with a pupil as an individual.

Nonparametric tests in statistical software

Cílem této diplomové práce je praktické i teoretické seznámení uživatelů neparametrických metod s několika vybranými statistickými programy, v nichž je možné neparametrické analýzy provádět. Nedílnou součástí cíle je i porovnání těchto programů. V teoretické části jsou stručně popsány základy testování statistických hypotéz a teorie neparametrických testů. V praktické části jsou prozkoumány programy NCSS 2007, Statistica 7, SPSS 15, Systat 12, Stagraphics Centurion XV, Minitab 15, S-Plus 6.2, SAS 9.1 a StatXact 7. U každého software jsou popsány neparametrické testy, které obsahuje, a zjednodušeně i vkládání dat a výstupy. Nakonec jsou vybrané programy porovnány z několika hledisek. Všechny vybrané programy obsahují značné množství neparametrických testů a liší se většinou jen v detailech. Pro většinu analýz není potřeba hledat speciální programy a dají se použít všechny vybrané, pouze pro porovnávání rozptylů je nutné použít buď SAS nebo StatXact, protože v jiných programech ve výběru tyto testy nenalezneme.
