In my bachelor thesis I am focusing on EU energy policy in the realm of cutting CO2 emissions. The solution of stopping the climate change lies in consecutive introduiction and implementation of more ecological technologies. EU energy policy is affected by the goal of stoppint the climate change. I describe the measures which were already approved and goals to the future. I consider renewable energy sources as a good step towards the cutting of emissions greenhouse gases and towards greater EU's energy independance of imports of energy sources. The last chapter is focused on European Union Emissions Trade System which was established in order to motivate companies to cut CO2 emissions.

Illicit work in the Czech Republic
Heinzová, Ivana ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Kubelková, Karina (referee)
This paper Illicit work in the Czech Republic analyse the reason why this type of labour market comes into being and it's causes and consequential effects. It contains a definition of the illicit work, clarification of the typical characteristics of this type of labour market. In the following part, I focus on reasons why people are looking for illegal jobs and their motivations for entering to the illegal labour market. I have a look on the other side aslo, especially on demanders and their motivations. Then I demonstrate how illegal labour market can be measured. In conslusion this paper shows not only teoretical solution of illictic work but also current activity which are being done in the Czech Republic at the moment.

The protection of property rights in the Czech Republic: public judicial system versus private alternatives
Černá, Michaela ; Šíma, Josef (advisor) ; Munzi, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on relation between state and private system of debt collection. The first part of this paper briefly describes traditional role of the government in general and deals with question if it is possible to establish competition into the justice. The second part describes and analyzes four different systems of debt collection in the Czech Republic -- execution procedure by public judicial system, by judicial officer (for-profit alternative), by arbitration court and by collection agency. In this part there are also described mechanisms of how four different systems work. The analysis of efficiency of four systems arises from comparison different motivation and mechanism used by representatives of systems. The aim of this paper is to monitor present condition in the market of debt collection in the Czech Republic and to demonstrate if the protection of property rights changed by the entrance of non-state alternatives.

Analysis of chosen aspect of the bancassurance on the Czech republic market
Kovaljevová, Dijana ; Daňhel, Jaroslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor work is to find out whether insurance taken out through distribution network of the bank is cheaper than insurance realized by the insurance agent. This is demonstrated by comparing two insurance models. In the firs part ther are stated models of cooperation between banks and insurance companies, motives and problems of integration. Coming next is characteristic of life insurance on the market in the Czech Republic nad characteristic of investemn life insurance. In the next part the analysis is divided into a qualitative and quantitative part. In the qualitative part are studied certain parameters of products. In the quantitative part are analyzed model courses of insurance, fees in the tables of charges and expensiveness of products on the basis of the PER- and TANK- Index is reviewed. I have come to the conclusion that the market with the investment life insurance in the Czech Republic will develop at a fast pace in the future. On the basis of the evaluation of all the parameters the bank model of the insurance of the investment life insurance has come out for the customer more advantageous. Further development can be expected both in bank-insurance companies towards allfinances and insurance companies because they will be specialized in more sophisticated clients.

Topology and function of the transmembrane domain of colicin U produced by Shigella boydii
Dolejšová, Tereza ; Fišer, Radovan (advisor) ; Krůšek, Jan (referee)
Colicin U is a protein produced by strains of bacterium Shigella boydii. It exhibits antibacterial activity against some bacterial strains Shigella and Escherichia. Based on sequence homology with colicins A, B and N, the colicin U is classified as a pore-forming colicin. Interaction of colicin U with attacked bacteria is ensured by three-step mechanism: 1) First colicin U interacts with surface receptors OmpA, OmpF and core of LPS. 2) Thereafter the colicin is translocated to periplasm through interaction with Tol proteins. 3) Finally colicin U interacts with the inner membrane of the attacked bacteria causing its depolarization. In this thesis I demonstrated pore-forming features of colicin U and further observed characteristics and properties of these pores. Using methods of measuring on black lipid membranes I determined a single channel conductance (19 pS), ion selectivity, the influence of various conditions on the behaviour of the pores. These findings, in many cases, correspond to the findings on other related colicins. Furthermore, I successfully determined the pore diameter of colicin U ( ≈ 0,8 nm). The next section of the thesis focuses on creation of single cysteine mutations of colicin U. Subsequently I produced five mutant variants of colicin U and verified their functionality so that...

On the road. The mystic and the artist
Trojaková, Jolanta ; Konečný, Lubomír (referee) ; Lahoda, Vojtěch (advisor)
in the Czech art of the first half of the twentieth century. As the mystíc I define this artist, who dedicates his entire life to searching for God- in aU of his forms. In the introduction Bejore the Start I sket ch the spiritual milieu of the tirne. In the first chapter lmages oj Gods I demonstrate the contemporary prototype of the mystical f1uctuate person comparing two artist: Rudolf Adámek and Josef Váchal, who were both deeply involved in many occultism organizations. The second chapter TheWay to the Hereafter speaks comprehensively about the movement of the spiritualism in Bohemia in those days. I focus on the artists, who actively participated in spiritual séances, often having even played the role of spiritual medium. The third chapter Th? Way to the East deals with the oriental philosophies, which thanks to the doctrine of H.P. Blavatsky entered into the lives of many Cz ech artists. They started to practise yoga, studied buddhism and meditate. The new life style inf1uenced also their art. In the last, fourth chapter Thé! Mystical Ladder I tried to describe the way of the mystic - artist step by step fr01'1 tLo, mental state of spiritual beginner to that of the enlightened person. In conc1usion I shortly compare the temperaments of the artists, whose lives and artistic works helped me to...

Synthesis of Specifically Substituted Heterocycles via Catalytic Reactions
Kratochvíl, Jiří ; Pour, Milan (advisor) ; Kotora, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Dalimil (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry Candidate Mgr. Jiří Kratochvíl Supervisor prof. RNDr. Milan Pour, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis Synthesis of Specifically Substituted Heterocycles via Catalytic Reactions This Ph.D. thesis deals with the synthesis of γ-alkylidene-α,β-unsaturated δ-lactones and lactams. Migita- Stille cross-coupling served as the key step in their preparation. Catalysis with palladium black was applied to the synthesis of the lactones and we demonstrated that it doesn't act as heterogeneous catalyst. Instead, it's only a precursor for catalytically active species, which is generated in situ and its true nature is unknown. The palladium nanoparticles are most likely responsible for the catalysis, although involvement of complexed atomic palladium cannot be excluded. Palladium black catalysis was also successfully applied to the synthesis of a series of structurally different substrates, which demonstrates its versatility and it was also proved that the catalyst can be easily recycled by simple filtration. An unusual Tsuji-Trost reaction then enabled transfer of the alkylidene substituent of the lactones to C5 furnishing polysubstituted heterocycles.
