Specialized Joystick Interpret for RDS

The main subjects of this bachelor thesis is implementation of specialized joystick interpret in environment Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio. The work describes environment of Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio and also described in more detail the simulation part the Visual Simulation Environment. The work propose several specialized interpreter for the passage of the maze. As a result, work is evaluated by experiments with universal and specialized interpreter.
E-learning support for teaching seniors

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is creating an electronic course (tutorial) for The University of the Third Age on University of Economics in Prague. The thesis is metaphorically joining topics like information and communication technology and education in it's own theme. Before creating the tutorial, it is necessary to explain the term e-learning. Therefore the thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The main contribution of this thesis is creating a specific electronic course for students of The University of the Third Age using up-to-date programs, uploading the course on the Internet (specifically YouTube server), course presenting to the students and explanation of the term e-learning itself in the context of modern times at e-learning.
Electronic books at VŠE

The master dissertation Electronic books at VSE is focused on analysing the opportunities of e-books in the environment of VSE. The aim is to describe the current state of different study materials used at VSE and to explore different ways of improving them using e-book technology. The dissertation briefly describes various attributes of e-books with stress on the relevant attributes -- the possibility of inserting notes, bookmarks, multimedia and interactive content. Also the possibility of editing the content and sharing resulting changes with other students is a key attribute. The dissertation then moves on to describe the different kinds of study materials that are in use at VSE. The second half of the dissertation builds on previous analysis of the study materials and introduces a hypothetical optimal state, which could result from implementing e-book technology. This state is the answers the question of what is actually possible to achieve. The next chapter in this half is the technical analysis, which answers the question of how is it possible to achieve the suggested hypothetical state. The conclusion of this dissertation answers the questions whether the proposed solution is a viable candidate for implementation. The results of this dissertation could be used as a guideline for the project of implementation of e-book technology in the environment of VSE.
Study Information Systems at Selected Universities

The aim of the thesis is to analyze and compare study information systems of four selected universities in the Czech Republic (University of Economics in Prague, Masaryk University in Brno, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and Technical University in Liberec) are made from a student's point of view. Important components of the systems, which students needs all the time will be compared in the thesis. One part of the thesis is dedicated to interesting possibilities in the various information systems. The main contributin of the thesis lies in introducing individual components of the information systems, their mutual comparison and the way of their usage. There will be an analysis of their weaknesses and outline of their future development of the information system.
Influence of membership in AIESEC on future career of University of Economics graduates

This work is devoted to the issue of key competencies and topical for students who want to succeed in finding a job and decide if voluntary extracurricular activity during their university studies can help. The main purpose is to determine whether participation in activity of student organization AIESEC affects student's future career. To answer the main question, author carried out a research, which was participated by 139 alumni of AIESEC. After questioning and comparing the results how they perceive their level of key competences, the author came to the conclusion that membership in AIESEC improves especially a level of communication, managerial and social skills. These are: foreign language, communication and negotiation skills, ability to work in an international environment, teamwork skills, organization and management and presentation skills. For the competencies, which AIESEC don't develop that much, the author has written recommendations, which could be applied in the student organization. In addition, in work was analyzed the success of AIESEC graduates in the labor market by comparing the number of managed by them organizational units and monthly salary with the same factors of non-AIESEC graduates.
Coaching and its perspectives in The Czech Republic

The aim of this dissertation was to whether the VŠE students perspective of the segment is the same as the coaches' perspective using a questionnaire research of the VŠE students and coaches too, and comparing both the students' and coaches' segments and suggesting possible solution. The questionnaire research was based in The Czech Republic area. The theoretical part of the dissertation is organized the way so it would introduce the involved ones into coaching. Firstly, it introduces the term coaching, differences between coaching and psychotherapy, ethical codex of the coaching, various genres and the methods of the coaching. Secondly, it explains dimensions of the mutual corporation, the coaches' and coached people roles, expenses, the form of quality, expected benefits, expectation of the co-operation and its form. Conclusions of this dissertation can be beneficial for organizations AIESEC, RPC VŠE, Koučink klub VŠE, The Head Office of the VŠE, coaches segment, future segment students' employers and for students themselves. There are included couches, companies providing coaching and professional associations under the coaches segment.
Reputation of University of economics, Prague

This thesis focuses on issue of reputation of higher education institution. Theoretical part defines reputation and specifies it in context of image, identity and brand and describes evaluation methods of these terms in context of higher education. Importance of reputation for public institutions and universities is also described. The objective of the research part was to investigate reputation of University of economics Prague (VŠE) in view of different stakeholders. Second objective was to analyze reputation of private higher education institutions competing with VŠE. Questionnaire was selected as a research method, 3 groups of stakeholders were asked to participate: students of VŠE, students of other universities and companies. Result of the research confirmed the hypothesis, that reputation of private schools worsens their position on the market. Also hypothesis that VŠE has bad reputation in eyes of students of other universities, but great reputation in eyes of companies was confirmed. In the conclusion, some steps to increase reputation of VŠE were recommended.
Gender Studies na VŠE (aneb Ženy v ekonomii vs. typ osobnosti)

The main aim of this thesis was answering the question, if lack of women in the economics is caused by discrimination or if personality type affects successful passing of advance economic courses. Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI) was used for purposes of this thesis as the most convenient personality type indicator. This thesis tested several hypotheses resulting from expected correlation between personality type, gender (both for students and teachers) and final results. Paper showed correlation between gender and final result and also between some personality types and grade. Paper also disclosed interesting correlations between final grade and other variables unique for testing system at the University of Economics, Prague.
IT Management in Organization

The thesis deals with information technologies on different levels of management. The first chapter analyzes a strategy level and a function of strategic documents in the IT management analyzed. The second half of the theoretical part deals with IT governance, its connection to the strategic management, and its chosen tools - decision-rights structure, service-level agreements, and accounting (focused on chargeback). The practical part of the thesis deals with IT management at the University of Economics in Prague. It analyzes and evaluates strategic documents from the IT management point of view. The second half of the practical part evaluates possibility of implementing the chosen tools of IT governance in the university's IT management.
Usage of Open Source Software in the Czech Public Administration

This thesis deals with problems of open source software and its usage in an organization. The thesis is divided into three main parts; first of them describes the definiton, history, characteristic and actual offer of open source software; second part moves us to the Public Administration world, where it surveys stage of implementation of open source software in some countries around the world and in the Czech Republic especially; third part uses gained finding from the previous parts to design application architecture to particular conditions of The University of Economics, Prague. First of the main goals of this thesis is to analyse possibilities of implementation of open source software instead of closed software. Next one is to chart the state of implementation of this type of software into Public Administration field in the Czech Republic and abroad. Last objective is to project application architecture with usage of open source software to particular condition of The University of Economics, Prague. These goals was achieved by studying many information resources, discussions with specialist, including of representatives of the state, about the given topics, and further analyse of current conditions of The University of Economics, Prague. Benefits of this thesis are especially compact view on open source software, further the survey of opinions of representatives of state, representatives of towns and next specialists on this type of software a its possibilities of usage in public administration. Last but not least benefit is to desing the application architecture to particular, rather complex, environment of The University of Economics, Prague.
